The door to the Hera Cabin swung open, allowing Syn to step through. Though it was more of a rush, and something on her blank yet pale face gave away her distraught. She didn't stop to close the door, she just kept on on walking, her eyes kept straight ahead as she got as far away as she could from that cabin. Her reddish hair streamed out behind her as she practically ran from the building.
She hated being indoors. And she was beginning to hate Hera.
Stupid woman.
She shook her head, trying to rid the thoughts from her mind. She just needed to clear her head, but it was no use, the thoughts clouding up her mind. She grew frustrated, then angry, and then in that anger, she snarled.

Syn jumped in turn, spinning to face him. Seeing who it was, however, she momentarily relaxed into a smile before tensing up again, her expression hardening as she glimpsed the source of her distraught from the corner of her eye. "That cabin" she said, glaring back in the direction she had come from for the first time. "I can't..." she began before turning away and continuing to walk. I need to get away... she thought, trying to force the incomprehensible images from her mind whilst trying to refrain from wiping her burning eyes.

Feeling his arms, she stopped moving. But she didn't turn around. "I-It's..." she took a ragged breath, closing her eyes and frowning. "It's Hera" she muttered, leaning into his chest with soething akin to defeat. "I can't stay there. She's driving me away"

The unusual frown stayed plastered on Adam's face, contemplating what she had said. "What do you mean? I mean...well, I stayed there for a while, and I never felt anything." As he finished his sentence, he managed his way around her, so that they were now face to face. Needing to bend his knees a bit, he shrunk down, and planted a kiss upon the girl's lips. As he pulled away, his mouth contorted into a mischievous grin, one that could only come out in the presence of her. At the least, this would at least cheer her up. "Now, Syn, explain this all to me."

"That would be because Hera's husband never cheated on her with Hades" she said, frowning whilst trying to hide a smile at what she had just said. But she couldn't stop herself when he kissed her, and smiled, momentarily forgetting her woes as she wrapped her arms around his neck loosely, gazing up at him with a small smile.
Then she sighed deeply, casting her eyes down. "Hera is trying to get back at my mother by harming me" she said, letting her tiredness show in his presence. "I hate staying in the cabins, but Hera just...made it worse" she said, closing her eyes as she let her forehead fall onto his chest. "I can't live there" she muttered.

Adam shook his head, sighing exuberantly. "That's ridiculous," he said, frowning at the awful thing. He rubbed the girl's back for a moment, thinking of a solution to the problem. "Listen, I'll stay with you tonight. We can...sneak off to the beach, or...I dunno, something. It's obvious that you can't live in the cabin..." Once again, he kissed her, sympathy leaking out through the contact. After that, no words were needed. It was obvious that he would do whatever to comfort her, however hard it may be. Pulling her slightly closer, he laughed a bit. "Hera's always been like this. She's not exactly the most...welcoming person."

"She's mean, you mean" Syn said, slowly relaxing and smiling up at him. "Thank you Adam," she said in her gentle voice, her eyes dancing as they were absorbed by his. On the spur of the moment, she tiptoed up to him, and gently brushed her lips against his, lingering for a second before pulling away and smiled warmly up at him. It was an absent minded action for her now, to gently trace his cheek bone with her middle and index fingers; she found it strangely soothing to do it now. "Beaches are sandy" she said, laughing a little. "Plus, there is often the tides changing" she added, shaking her head. "Don't sleep on beaches. Bad idea." She laughed a little awkwardly, obviously speaking from experience as she looked sidelong as if recalling a memory.

She winced slightly at the thunder, but shrugged it off, smiling up at Adam much more cheerfully than she had when she exited the cabin. She even tried to suppress a small laugh when he jumped at the sound of her voice. It made her blush slightly, to think she could catch him off guard at such a moment.

Syn noticed the light blush spread across Adam's features, which made her freeze for a moment, slightly puzzled before she blinked in realization. She ducked her head, hiding her own reddening cheeks from his gaze. "There's always the forest or....strawberry fields...or someplace like that" Syn said after a moment.
Glancing up, she frowned, looking at Adam curiously. She didn't know entirely what to say to him, and it showed in her eyes as she studied his features. Then, of all things she could have said, she chose "I've never gotten a present before." Her expression went blank, suddenly guarded. This was something she had no idea of what to think of, and stared up at Adam, suddenly showing embarrassment in her expression.
