| Julia, after walking through the trees, finally reached Euros creek. It looked like there was a thin layer of ice on the water. Through the tree the sun sparkled on the ice. Julia, curiously put one foot into the water, for it to immediately crack under her weight.
She stepped back, alarmed, and ran into a tree. That caused her to trip over a root, and she plunged face-first into the water. She cracked right through the ice, and into the muddy water. Well this is great , she thought sarcastically, and stood back up.
She tried to wipe away all the mud, but it left noticeable stains on her clothes. Luckily, most of her hair missed the water, so that wouldn't be much of a problem. After 5 minutes of wiping away muddy water, she sat against a tree, and started to read a book.

| I was walking to Euros Creek for some quiet time, just by myself. I liked all of the commotion in camp, but sometimes I needed time by myself. So, I had my iPod Touch in my left hand and my earbuds in my ears. I neared the icy creek, when I notice a girl there, about two years younger than me, and wet.
I then see the gaping hole in the creek. I can probably guess what happened, I thought to myself. I slowly walk up to the girl, my feet with my Air Jordans barely making a sound on the snowy ground. Still, more snow covered my hair and my clothes, a army-like jacket, with an Orange Crush t-shirt and black denim jeans. My jet black hair looked like a spotted Dalmation, with the amount of white in it.
"Hey." I tell her, looking down at the girl. She was reading a book, I was too high up to read the title, but it looked pretty thick.

| Julia, bored, stood up to stretch. She put her 800 page book down on her bag, careful not to get it dirty. She yawned, leaning against the tree. She then realized someone was next to her. Startled, she jumped back into the muddy creek water. She sighed, got out, and stood back up. Brushing some slimy water off her clothes, Julia gave a weak smile, and said, "Hey." | |

| I look her over. "Are you...okay?" I ask her. She was all wet and dirty. She looked like the type of girl who hated getting dirty and things like that. I put my hands in my jean pockets, the thumbs poking out. I flip my hair and smile softly. | |

| "Yeah, I'm fine," she replied, brushing the last of the grime off her face. Her leg ached a bit, but it was fine. Leaning against the tree, she brushed her hair aside. She then gave another smile, and said, "I'm Julia." | |

| "Ollie Thomas. Son of all powerful Zeus." I smirk at Julia. I hope she knew I was kidding. "Athena?" I ask her. She looked it. And by the size of her book, she seemed it too. The only book I read is cheat code books. | |

| "That's cool," Julia replied. She kicked some dirt off her shoe. She blinked her bluish-gray eyes, and said, "Yep, Athena."
Bored, she asked, "How long have you been in camp?"

| "Five," I say, fingering the small beads on my necklace. "What about you?" I ask her. I lean against a big tree, possibly a maple. | |

| "Wow," she said. This was Julia's first year, so 5 years sounded like forever. She brushed her hair aside, and smiled, "I haven't even been here for a year," she said, then added, "In fact, I only got here a few weeks ago, only a few days before that first battle." | |

| "Wow," I say. "That's nice. Seeing all of your camp-mates bruised and bloody." When I said that, my covered leg wound started to itch. That means it's healing... I thought to myself. But it took all of my willpower to not scratch it until it bled...even more. | |

| "I know. It's great." she replied with sarcastic enthusiasm. Realizing that there was mud sticking to the back of her pants, she wiped it off. Bored, she asked, "Why'd you come here today?" | |

| I shrug. "I just like the quiet sometimes. All of the commotion and stuff is simply too much." I hold up my iPod. "And you can't hear the music." I smile at the corner of my mouth. | |

| I stood at the lake behind some trees watching the two people that were there as they swam around. I was starting to miss Haruka, despite the fact that I would never mention it. I waited patiently listening to their conversation | |
