Horseback riding is the best ( Open :) )

I dug my heel lightly in Charlie's stomach, I didn't like digging my heel into him but it was the only way to make him trot so that I could practice my diagonal posting. I loved horseback riding it was they only way I could think, they only time when I could figure things out. I loved horses they had great personalities and they were smart they knew when you were sad and they knew when you were happy.

Axl stumbles onto the horse path after almost an hour of exploring the camp, a bit tired now but none the less seeing the horse path made him excited, he had never ridden a horse before but would love to learn, maybe someone here could teach him, Just then he saw a girl, clearly a daughter of Atena mounted on a horse.
"Maybe She can" I said to myself and made my way over to her.
" Umm hey there" I said a bit nervous this was my very first encounter with another camper.

I smile passing my hand up and down the horse's neck as if grooming it.
"I'm Axl knight son of Dionysus, Nice Horse you got here" I say observing the Horse then took off my backpack and fed it a brightly colour blood red apple, then resumes passing my hand through the fur of the Horse's neck.

I smile, I loved it when people complimented Charlie, " I'm Angela Sparks, daughter of Athena, thanks Charlie seems to like you " I say observing Charlie's behavior towards Axl, One of the reasons I was so attached to Charlie was because I'd have him since I was ten when I was a competitive rider and when I'd been brought to camp I'd had my dad send Charlie here, another reason I adored Charlie was because he was beautiful, he had a black man and he was a mid-light coffee color and he had a great personality.

"Do you mind if I tag along with you, until my Cabin leader returns, I don't really know anyone here" I said still smiling at her.

"Not the slightest idea" I said a bit embarrased.
"I love horses but when it comes to riding i'm no good, I tried once but didn't even make it a few metres" I continued rubbing my head as I remember the extremely painful fall, then shuddered at the memory.

" Sure, I'd like that " I say smiling. I enjoyed teaching people about horses and how to ride them, it was fun to watch them and the horse bond.

I blush as he stares at me " Well first Charlie needs to get used to you so that he trusts you, so just let him get used to you by petting him and while your doing that I'll adjust the saddle and reins " I say. I walk over to Charlie's saddle and start to adjust the strap and shorten the reins so it would be easier to bring him to a halt.

"Okay" I said and started petting Charlie as I was before, talking to him silently. It was the same with all animals no matter how big of small, I just felt and involuntary and automatic connection with them instantly the same with plants, one of the gifts I inherited from my father I guess.

I smiled, Charlie seemed to be getting along fine with Axl " Then after he gets used to you, you mount him by swinging one leg over and securing the foot in the stirrup and then you put the other foot in the stirrup, its pretty simple " I say smiling

"Okay here I go" I say my face serious now. I hesitated at first but found the courage, and swung one leg over and secured the foot in the stirrup, then I put the other foot in the stirrup and I was up a bit shaky but up.
"I did it, now what" I said smiling again.

I smiled encouragingly, " You lightly dig your heel into his stomach and that tells him to move so just urge him into a slow and steady walk, Having a horse walk is boring and easy but its crucial because you have to balance and learn the rhythm of a horse before you start trotting " I say

"Okay" I say inhaling deeply then lightly dug my heel into his stomach and Charlie trotted forward, and I wasn't afraid, wasn't shaking but perfectly comfortable I trusted him and it seemed like he trusted me.

" Dig your heel harder in Charlie's Stomach and he should start trotting, now Posting makes trotting a lot easier, so when every the horse bounces up you bounce up with him and then you bounce down and you should get into a rhythm" I say. I wish I'd brought another horse so I could ride as well

"Thats sounds easy enough" I said and dug my heel a bit harder into Charlie's stomach and the horse's speed increased, I was really getting the hang of this now, I found the rhythm Angela spoke of and I felt really happy I don't know why but a certain joy just filled up inside me.

I watched him " Be careful " I say warning him, Horseback riding could be dangerous

"Don't worry I'm okay" I said but a second to early, Charlie bounced up and I went up with an for a breif moment lost focus and glanced into the sky and at that moment it went wrong. I came down but not on Charlie but solid surface back first landing with a THUD! On the ground and instantly an aching pain ran from my back to every part of my body.

My first impulse was to run to Charlie and make sure that he was okay but I knew I had to make sure Axl was okay, I ran over to him " Omigosh are you okay " I ask concerned, hopefully he wasn't hurt too badly.
