| A small boy named Jimmy Lance was happily trotting along side a Satyr, named John. A hill, one with a single giant pine, was getting bigger and bigger in front of them.
John seemed distracted. "Almost there... Almost there..." he was muttering.
"Near to what?" Jimmy asked him curiously.
The Satyr smiled. "To camp, J.J. The one I told you about. It's where we're going."
"But... Will you come too?"
"I'll come to make sure you settle in well, but then I'll have to go."
The look that then appeared on J.J's face was of pure sadness, nothing else mixed in. At seeing the six year-olds face, he added, "Don't worry. I'll visit when ever I can. And you'll have lots of new family to play with!"
"But I wanna play with you! I wanna listen to your pan pipes! And I wanna watch you making the plants grow!"
John just sighed a long, sad sigh.
They were just starting to walk up the hill when a they heard loud screech from above. Jimmy looked up, and his sad face turned into his scared face. It was a Harpy. Half woman, half bird. It landed on the ground a few metres in front of him. John played a short tune on his pipes, and a vine of some description starting growing around the Harpy's scaly feet.
With another loud screech, the Harpy flew up in the air, escaping the vines. It start going straight for Jimmy. His scared look turned to his determined look, and he sidestepped the bird. He, with his eyes closed, stuck his dagger out in front of him at the same moment.
The Harpy screeched a final time, as more vines caught her, and Jimmy's knife went through her. She vaporized into dust, leaving a very nice flowering plant.
"Yay!" J.J said happily, before hugging his Satyr-friend, "The bird-woman is gone!"
The Satyr just smiled at J.J.
They continued to walk up the hill towards the pine tree, the Satyr carrying J.J's bag, and J.J asking more about camp enthusiastically.
They reached the top of the hill, and the scene that lay before J.J caused him to clap his six year-old hands in delight.
OOC: Anyone can RP John (The Satyr), as long as they don't change him much from what he is in this post. |

a||b||e||l||||m||o||n||t||e||n||e||g||r||o the blind son of Demeter -o-o-o-o-o-o- Abel leaned back on the tree he patiently stood under. What can he say, the chaos and noise of the camp wasn't exactly bearable. the peace, serenity of the hill was what was comforting to his soft sensitive ears. And yet, he felt kind of uncomfortable, nerves jumping at the slightest sound.
He wasn't supposed to be here anyway. If any monster attacks, he wasn't the one who'd run off into the camp, yelling for help. He was blind for Zeus' sake. But that doesn't mean he wasn't determined to show what he was made of.
As he leaned back, relaxed a bit until the next noisy person to come up, he heard the familiar sound of footsteps at the bottom, more dangerous end of Half-blood Hill. shuffling of clothes, softer footsteps accompanied by the clopping of hooves.
Maybe new campers, he thought to himself with a grin. Yeah, most campers go by themselves these days. Bringing a satyr with them seemed like too much trouble. "Hey." he breathed softly, his long strawberry blond bangs going into his pale blue eyes. Long fingers brushed carefully on the dagger he had with him, and the other hand laid limp by his side. "I guess, welcome to camp." he greeted, the normal routine for the newbies. He grinned sweetly, nothing that would hint he had some problem on his shoulders, but almost everyone had one of those.
He cocked one head to the side, wondering if the satyr new of his...disability, but Abel didn't really mind that he was blind. He just needed everyone to remember that he wasn't able to see. He heard more shuffling of clothes/fur and something swooshing in the air, probably someone nodding, but he just let it pass, and for the satyr to introduce themselves. ~OOC: Sorry, got carried away there. x]

| J.J was extremely excited. But, how couldn't he? The things John had said there were... A huge climbing wall that could seriously injure you... Forges... A lake. The Lake part seriously excited Jimmy. He loved swimming. But one of the things that excited that excited him the most, was having brothers and sisters to play with, siblings of all ages.
He was looking at the Camp, extremely excited to go down, but sort of scared, not wanting to go down at the same time, when he heard a voice behind him, sitting under the gigantic pine tree. It was a boy/young man. "I guess, welcome to Camp," he said. J.J was silent, he was shy, but John said, "Thank you. I'm John, a Satyr. A Keeper. And I have here J.J... A son of Apollo I... found."
J.J stayed silent. He fingered his knife, running his hands along the handle. He didn't know why he did it, but he just did. John had taught him all about it on their way to Camp, about how it was Celestial Bronze, and wouldn't harm mortals, and it would just pass through them.
Finally gathering the courage to say it, he blurted out, "Hello!" before jumping back behind John. |

a||b||e||l||||m||o||n||t||e||n||e||g||r||o the blind son of Demeter -o-o-o-o-o-o- Abel winced, his ears picking up the loud noise. But he hinted a childish tone in the voice, probably around 5 to 6 years of age, and his weak spot for kids opened up.
"Hey, not too loud kid. My ears are bleeding." he said, the sarcastic nature of his personality blooming in. "Hey little fella." he said, looking at who he supposed to be the camper. And then it hit him. Why someone this young could be in camp so early? Was he maltreated in his home? Was he abused? Or was he an orphan boy?
Or even worst, did he even have a home? Abel cocked his head to the side
"Uh John, does he even have a home?" he asked John the satyr. Abel reached out, to pat what felt like a boys head and he was right. This kid was really young. The thought made him frown.

| The Satyr moved a little closer to the person sitting under the tree, leaving Jimmy still looking at the camp. "Not... Really. His mother married an abusive stepfather, who killed her in the end. From what I can gather, he was a drunk. J.J ran away. I found him in Denver," he spoke, careful not to let the six-year old hear.
J.J turned to the boy under the tree. He spoke, careful not to be too loud, "Do you live at the Camp? Is it fun?"
He then turned to John, giving him a pleading look, "When can we go see everything? I wanna see the lake... And my brothers and sisters... EVERYTHING! Please?!" |

And then after, Abel liked him already. Not because he was weak. Not because he pitied the kid, but because he was a survivor. "Well, J.J. isn't it?" he asked, standing up, brushing off invisible- literally- dirt off his hands.
"Well J.J., if you're ready, why not take a small glimpse on your new home?" he asked him, patting the kid's head in the process. "Oh and John, you'd might want to help with." he said, at where he thought John the satyr was.

| "Yeah! What's your name?" JJ said excitedly to the persons question. He really couldn't wait to get down to Camp. His nervous part had almost evaporated from seeing the Camp from the top of the hill.
John nodded, though the Person-Under-The-Tree would not be able to see, before saying, "I agree. But... I think a big look would be better."
JJ jumped up in happiness, "Yay!", he said before adding looking directly at the P.U.T.T., in a much quieter voice, "Sorry... I hope that wasn't too loud!"
"Do you want to come down with us?" John the Satyr asked the P.U.T.T..
J.J. now had a huge smile on his face. Super huge. |

a||b||e||l||||m||o||n||t||e||n||e||g||r||o the blind son of Demeter -o-o-o-o-o-o- Abel laughed.
"Call me Abel, Abel Montenegro." he introduced himself. Boy, this kid was hyped up for camp. Probably it's for the better, seeing it'll be his neew home. "Well, here's camp J.J. you're new home." he said, sighing. Well, at least he gets to see it, unlike him.
"John, why don't you guide us?" he asked the satyr, throwing a smile at his direction. "'Cause I kinda...can't." he explained.

| "'kay. Hello Abel!" Jimmy replied happily.
The Satyr, John, then said, "Nice to meet you Abel. I'd love to guide." John knew that Abel was blind. He could tell from his body language. "Well, come on J.J., Abel, lets go... erm... See Camp."
J.J. immediately grasped John's hand, and waited for Abel to come. After maybe half a second, the six year-old walked over to Abel, and took his hand too, dragging John with him. "Yay!" he said, "Now we can go down together!"
He had no idea that Abel was blind, he just grabbed his hand to be nice.
"Erm..." was all John said. |

"Well, c'mon, let's see camp." he said to J.J. He could feel the excitement rolling off the small kid. Abel laughed, boy, was this kid hyped up.

| Still clutching both John and Abel's hands, J.J. started a mix between skipping and running down the hill, down to Camp Half-Blood. About half way down, he slipped, and rolled down the rest of the hill.
Laughing hysterically, the boy stood up, and waited for his walking-down-hill companions. His blond hair was in a way glowing in the midday sun. He had tears in his bright blue eyes from his laughing. Being impatient, as usual, he raced back up the hill and grabbed John and Abel's hands once more. |

"J.J. you'll get to live here, so tone down the happy meter will you." he said to J.J, mock seriousness epicly failing. Sure, he's got somewhere to be, but being here beats everything.

| The boy kept laughing, but did slow down a little.
As they reached the bottom of the hill, Jimmy's delight-meter rocketed up from Really Really High, to Really Really Super OMG High. "WOW!" he screeched. "This place looks AWESOME!"
The boy actually couldn't see much, much less than from the top of the hill, in fact, but actually being down there made it so much awesomer. |

a||b||e||l||||m||o||n||t||e||n||e||g||r||o the blind son of Demeter -o-o-o-o-o-o- "That's just the beginning." Abel said, flushing a bit as the boy enjoyed the scenery. At least he enjoyed J.J.'s company.
"The cabins are off to the left," Abel nodded slightly to the left, where there were busy buzzes of voices comming from, where he could here the singing Apollo campers in their cabin, giggling Aphrodites in the other, Shuffling Hermes kids at 11 and so on. "this is where we sleep." he added.
Thinking a bit, Abel faced J.J. and had to ask. "By the way, who's your godly parent?" he smiled at him with a soft one.

| J.J. could See the Cabins. They all looked different.
To Abel's question, he replied, "My Daddy is Apollo! God of Music, Healing, and other stuff! He sounds cool! Who's your magic parent?"
Jimmy called his father 'Daddy' instead of 'Dad', unlike most kids his age, because the only Dad he remembered liked attacking him with a long wooden ruler. "Will I ever get to meet Daddy?" |

[b]"And last time I checked, my godly parent's Demeter, goddess of the harvest." he told the kid, refraining to call Demeter mommy. Several vines grew instantly on his feets. He could feel it crawl over his shoe and he waved them away. "Now, she's a little picky, but I guess you could call her 'mommy'." he said to J.J.

| "Woah!" the boy said, as Abel just waved his hand and the vines went away. "That's SO cool!"
J.J. stretched his neck, looking around. "Can we go see Camp noooooooooow?" he asked his two companions.
"Well..." John said, a smile on his face, "I think so." |

"The day's very slow anyways." he said, hearing his half siblings in the feilds, singing and planting the ccrops for the year. Others call it child labor, but he calls it their family bonding thing. By the wayt their mom loves plants and all.
