Dances can't last forever, people will have to eventually get bored and leave. By the time we get there most of the people would have left and gone elsewhere. I was glad that the dance was dying down already, seemed like an eternity for it to happen.

I began walking towards the beach. By the time we'd get there the dance would be over, and relatively quiet. Should be easy to relax and forget about the world.
