Surprise Party for Will Michaels! [open to all]

Colby ran into the Zeus cabin with a small gift in her hand. She ran up to Will, Bell and another girl. Smiling big she placed the present which was a simple belt that would change to armor if needed. She also handed him a letter on the top from Treston who had not forgotten his nephew. Colby smiled and looked around the little group.

Will patted Colby on the head and grinned. He was tall and she was not, therefore she wouldn't be able to reach his head. "Hey Colbers, thanks for the gift!" he shook the box, in hopes of finding something good. "What is it?"

Will turned his gaze to the picture and observed everyone in it. Maddie, Zan, him as a baby, Liliana, everyone. Everyone was happy. A lump formed in his throat and a stray tear ran down from his eye. He missed his mother. Will sometimes spent nights, alone in the bathroom with a pint of ice cream and his baby blanket, and Hot Wing.

Hot Wing was Roxanne's mini dragon. The two would cry together for hours. Of course, no one knew about this episode.

He wiped away the tear and turned to Bell, "Hey you should make me a birthday concoction. Try...champagne and orange juice? Mimosas. Love those things."

With a shrug, "Brown dragon leather belt, turns to body armor." She shifted her weight to her other foot, "You know how hard it is to get a good armor peice in your size?" She asked looking up at Will her arms askiw. She gestered to the letter on top of the peasent. "The letter is from Treston." she said and looked at Will. "Hmm... Apple Juice and Strawberries with it taste much better." She comment, not that she had ever gotten drunk, but she had tasted varies concoctions.

Will grinned at Colby, "Hey that's a great gift! Besides, you're the second person who's called me fat today." He chuckled, situating Carly on his back. She wasn't heavy or anything.

Will tore open the little box and pulled out the belt. He pressed it to his nose and inhaled the soft scent of leather. "Mmm..." he said with a melancholy sigh. Leather was his favorite thing, it reminded him of his dad.

Will opened his eyes and started to put the belt through his pant loops. He buckled the belt and looked up a Colby in confusion. "Should I press a button or say 'Abracadabra?'"

Carly squirmed a bit. "Uhh...shouldn't you maybe let me down before you put that on?" she asked. Without waiting for a response, she almost seemed to condense herself a bit and slip right through Will's grasp. She brushed herself off with a grin. "A trick taught to me by some Poseidon kids...the body is technically over 50% water, if you can condense it, you can squeeze out of almost anything. But it's dangerous...too much and you could die," she explained.

"I'm just wishing Will a happy birthday. I couldn't not show up." Hale shrugged and patted the top of Truckee's head, who, in turn, licked him affectionately. Hale wrinkled his nose as his littlest friend tasted his face.

"I'm guessing you're here for the same reason. Otherwise, your home was run over by the party. Sorry 'bout that." Hale shrugged lightly, and Truckee bounced up and down in his masters arms.

Colby thought about it for a secound and shrugged. "I really don't know... try to twist the buckle." She said then wacthed as Carly seemed to shape herself and change to slip out of Will's grasp. "That's pretty cool, other then the whole dieing stuff."

Magnus nodded. "Course I'm here for the party. I don't miss parties, y'know?" He helped himself to some more chips. "So, how's the Apollo cabin doing?"

Will leaned down and gave Carly a kiss on her cheek. He smiled a white smile and stood up. He fiddled with the belt buckle for a while until the armour came out. It was a shiny gold color with a lightning bolt and a cadecus in the middle. It didn't come with a helmet though. "Damn. No helmet? Or are they a pair of Aviators?"

"The Apollo Cabin's doing great! It's run by an amazing leader, that has finally memorized everyone's names, and full of amazing people. Leading is hard business though, dude. Don't get me wrong. It's tough. It isn't something just anyone can do." Hale nodded, worried about getting into some sort of rant. He was already way too off topic. "How's the Zeus Cabin?" Hale pulled Truckee back, as he was trying to escape. "We'll leave in a minute," he whispered to his pet. "Be patient."

"Let me tell ya, we've dusted ourselves off admirably after Zan's sacrifice and that suicide," Magnus said. "Will's doing great so far as leader despite his personal losses, and we're back on track. It could be a lot worse over here."

Colby shook her head at Will. "no sorry. That head is hard enough" reaching in her pocket she pulled out a a silver lighter. Clicking it nothing came out she smiled. Touching wills arm a few sparks popped up. Closing it she passed it to her, "Do NOT make me regret this, cuz it is just a toy."
