Ryan paced back and forth waiting for his date to arrive. Her name was Mitchie, and his friend had set them up. The sand squished under his bare, and stuck to his sole's as he sat down. He held a single red rose, courtesy of the Demeter kids, and his swim trunks and camp shirt. His hair was straightened and freshly flipped.

Suddenly someone giggled behind him. "Hello?" I ask, turning around.

I giggled when I saw how cute Ryan was. He was amazingly cute. "Hi! I'm Mitchie Lythe, daughter of Hephaestus. You're Ryan, right?"

I nod, looking over Mitchie. She wasn't bad herself. "That's me, Orion. But stick to the Ryan. I can't stand Orion." Looking down at my feet I chuckled.

Sheepishly I hand Mitchie the rise. "Here. The red rose symbolizes romance." I grin at her, the situation not awkward at all.
