This forum uses a scripting language called BBCode, its a part of HTML. But to get into nerdy detail, This thread is gonna be dedicated too all i know about this language. I'm not going to tell you how to make graphs or something you probably wont need, but the fun stuff that there is too this. This is going to be a continues thread, and i am gonna keep on adding the things i find. and FYI, i did enjoy making this.
cheers. . Just so you know, This forum has restrictions on certain things. you cant add major stuff like 3rd party software stuff. I'm not going to go over the basics (bold, italic, underlined, stroke, center, ect.).
1: extra text deco.

pretty cool huh? sadly, the blurred text isn't colorable, the fade text is, but i think its ugly.
2: Embedding youtube videos.

if you wish too, for some reason, embed a youtube video into your post/sig/whatever. use the following code:
I've used "wake me up when December ends" by green day (ftw). Remember the ID of the video? find the link in the code, and replace the id Ive used with yours. (NOTE; dont remove the &hl=) so if your video had the id: [b]r00ikilDxW4[/b]
*IMPORTANT* remove the + at the begin and at the end of the code (right after and right before the youtube command) Its glitchy, and doesn't work too well.

well that's all for now, i hope you learned something. I made this guide just to share what i have found by googling around the internet and looking at the help pages, and trying out myself, ofc. I made this for 2 forums by the way, 1 being a gaming forum, and the other being, well, this one.
I have to much time on my hands :3. Oh and if you know anything neat that i didn't list above, please tell me, I'd love you if you did. and this is the alpha version of this guide, feel free to get on my nerves and post what i do wrong in grammer. Thanks :3.

hehe, me neither. I got into it since my mom is a web designer and i love watching her work on her mac book, rambling countless codes into her computer.

its in the 3rd section, under alternative bracket commands
