"Jokes, aren't really my thing." I say, "Sorry. You should try the Stoll brothers for that."

Annabeth it's rude not to offer to help when someone comes asking. I whisper.

"And it's even more rude when you agree to something but can't do it." I whisper back.

We'll at least try to help. We might not be able to do much but we'll at least try. I tell Jessie.

I walk towards the creek, and finally ariving there, find it silent and empty. Then I hear giggling as I step into the creek, and a water nymph pops up. Then two tree nmpths circle around me,as I stand barefoot in creek. I called on a bit of thunder and lightning to calm myself, and to warn them.
"Please stay back, nymphs, Im not in the mood, for your antics," I say, bristling like a cat.
"Noo..." their whispery voices echoed around me.
"What do you want?" I was getting pretty freaked out, and when the first one touched me, I couldnt help it, I let out a small scream, and they backed off, only to swarm me again seconds later.
"Please, sky-daughter...help her" one whispered, and another tree nymph whimpered at me
"she dies...sky-daughter...." The two water nymphs teary blue eyes watched me pleadingly, and the tree nymphs brown eyes were hopeful. I realized they all lookedimilar, despite their differences. They all had petite bodies, and pointy ears and slim limbs. In contrast to the black and dark brown hair the creek nymphs had, the forest spirits had long hair of all shades, red, light brown, golden, blonde in all different tones.
"Please, she dies..." the nymphs eyes all filled with their own versions oftears, chlorophilly green hazes for the tree spirits, and well, water for the water spirits.
"Fine, fine, Ill help if I can," I said.

I walked down to the creek, feeling strange. I'd never known what it felt like to be the new kid. I had always been the beautiful, popular, rich chick. The person people mistook as ditzy until they met the real me. Here, however, people took me seriously, and some of the girls in my cabin were 10 times more beautiful than I was. "I see you are having some deep thoughts my child," said a voice in my mind. "Who was that?" I shrieked, spinning around. "It's your mother, I see you've finally found your place in the world, at least for now. That requires celebration. I have a gift for you." whispered Aphrodite. "Mom? I-I-I, Aphrodite?" I asked. Then I noticed that the light was slowly growing brighter, and there were roses blooming on the oak trees. Suddenly there was a bright flash of light, and then all was calm. A beautiful woman in a flowing white gown was walking toward me. Her golden hair floated behind her, as if blown by a nonexistent wind. "Hello my child, here is my gift to you. It is for your protection." Aphrodite, I mean, mom said. She handed me a razor sharp knife, with a ruby rose embedded in the blade. "This's amazing! I love it Mom! Thank you so much!" I said, throwing my arms around her. After hugging her for a minute I pulled away. "Run your fingers across the ruby design." she said softly. I traced the cold edges of the rose, and my blade extended into a full length sword. "And take this parrot too," she said, and a majestic blue black parrot flew down and landed on my arm. "Thank you mom. I love you." I said. "And finally, so that I will always be nearby, take this flower. It's almost like an Iris message credit card, you can use it as many times as you need, and it also makes a cute accesory." she said, taking the lily flower out of her hair. When she handed it to me I realized that it was glass. "Goodbye Celia." she whispered, and then she drifted away into thin air.
