Raphaela slammed herself into a tree."Ouch."she groaned and slipped down to the grassy ground. She had just visited the grave of an old friend of hers. Blinded with greif, she haven't looked at where she was going, but her feet still dragged her around camp. Looking up into the sky, she wanted so bad to curse at the gods. For letting her friend die. For taking all these campers into a one way trip of a life.

But she didn't. She just folded her legs and hugged them tight. She didn't care if anyone sees her, nor if any monsters were there watching. All she knew was her desperation to get out. Out of the grief, out of the camp, and out of her life.

Overjoyed Jack Benjamin Austen was walking through the snow feeling hyper, he after all controlled the snow, he was in his element. he'd taken down many enemies round the battlefield most were crushed with ice and snow. Snow danced around his body in circles. His dyed blonde hair contrasting with his pale skin perfectly, on top his had a New Era hat on, backwards of course. A red lollipop in his mouth and his hands in the pockets of his jeans. He was wearing a white v-neck T-shirt and some Allstars. He was, of course, not cold.

Raphaela noticed another kid there. He looked like he was, in her opinion, enjoying the cold, dark day. "You okay there?"she squeaked. Her eyes filled with unsheaded tears but she placed a brave face on. The kid, was as it seems, too happy. Weird, because a war was still engaged and here he was, merrily walking in the snow. Raphaela gritted her teeth. Her friend just died in the war, and there he was, not caring about the fallen. "Do you have any business here?" she asked with hostility, quite surprised at her sudden snap. Honestly, she was a peacekeeper, but times had certainly changed her in ways.

Suddenly guarded Jack spread his finger and raised his hand. Snow swirled around him, "Who are you?" he growled. His bit his lollipop which in turn shattered. He swatted his arm and the snow turned to icicles as snow walls started to grow around them so the girl couldn't go anywhere.

Raphaela inched away. "Raphaela! Daughter of Tanathos."she yelled back. Not wanting to touch the cold ice block, she hugged herself tighter. Shivering in her small hoodie shirt and pants, she rubbed her arms for more heat.

Jack let his arms drop and the ice walls and everything winked out of existence, "Sorry," he said. Mr. Austen hadn't bothered to say his name, he normally didn't introduce himself. Plus, he was to busy finding out who Thanatos was, he had not a single clue.

"Your not in b-battle." she said with a shiver. Then, her eyes widened at a realization. "Y-you're not w-with Cronos a-are you?" she gulped. The ice wals have somehow disappeared and she relaxed a bit but kept on hugging her legs, head on her knees.

Jack shook his head, " Of course not! " he said in his British accent. Because he was offended his accent went out of control like normally. He gave the girl a quick wink and walked closer to apologize again for frightening her even though he was offended.

Charlie was walking through the woods, taking a pleasant stroll, really when she noticed the large ice fort appear and disappear quickly, unless the Earth was coming closer to ecological diaster, that wasn't possible. The she remembered she was camp. She quickly pulled out her dagger and ran through the thick undergrowth, letting vines whip at her arms. Her bag was at her side, with her book sticking out of the precariously. She came up behind the boy and motioned to the girl to be quiet for a moment. She hoped the girl understood her intentions. Charlie leaned over and whispered into his ear with a hissy voice, "I see no need to harass young girls," her eyes were like steely daggers, being a daughter of Athena.

Raphaela flinched and backed away slowly when he came near. "Wh-What do y-you want?" she asked. When she saw another girl, she nodded her head a little. It wasn't really a good time to be defensless, but she couldn't take her knife out. She silently prayed to her father and waited for the others to react first.

Jack just smiled as snow began to stir and whirl around as it started to push Jack away from Charlie around the dagger. His ice-like smile focussed on Charlie. He spread his fingers as snow began to whirl and whip around everywhere around him. It didn't look terrifying or even scary, until you got caught in it, there in the snow were pieces of hard ice. They would hit you to, and this would hurt.

She watched them as close as possible. Never did she ever see anything like ice turning hard. "Wh-What are y-you guys going t-to d-do?" she stuttered. She seems to be too cold now, but the tension keep dulling the peircing cold. "Y-you're n-not going t-to fight, are y-you?"

Charlie rolled her eyes. "You know...frankly it's a psychological matter. If you look at it from my stance. He's using his powers to direct attention onto himself. He wants the attention, in fact, he just wants to show off for us. Charlie walked past the ice-vortex un-fazed and touched the girl's arm. "I'm Charlie. I won't hurt you. He might. But I'll do my best to make sure that doesn't happen." Her voice was soothing and quiet. She'll held her dagger at her side, waiting for the ice-boy to make his move, then she would take him down.

Smiling Jack waved off the snow and calmed down. He took of his hat and put it on again quickly because his hair looked quite...funny now because he'd been wearing it all afternoon. " I'm Jack, " he said with a oh-so innocent wave. He sat down on the snow and sighed happily and looked up at the girls. His red lollipop, the base of his power, was still in his mouth.

"Hello Jack. I'm impatient. Nice to meet you." Charlie rolled her eyes and turned back to the girl. She personally wanted nothing to do with Jack. Or Ice-Boy, as she preferred to call him. She stuck out her hand to the girl, "I'm Charlie, daughter of Athena. Nice to meet you."

"Ra-Raphaela day-daughter of Tanathos." she said. Still not getting anything what the two wants, she stood up shakily to her feet. "I-isn't the b-battle still there?" she asked voice craking at the end. Having felt the effects of the war on her was pretty bad, but somehow she knows she could move on. The dagger hidden on her thigh was ice cold and she wanted so much to pull it out, so she did, fingers quivering at the touch.

Jack took out his dagger and thought of a joke. He walked up behind Charlie, placed a dagger at her throat and whispered in her ear, " Don't hate me love, Raphaela startled me, that's all. " He took away the dagger and let the snow swirl from his arm to hers and around her body only to return to Jack. He was a nice guy but also very charming.

"A-Answer me!" she snapped at the boy, Jack. "A-are they s-still ther or n-not?" she asked, holding her dagger infront of her. The authority of her own voice made her cringe back. her fingers were numbing now, and the cold seemed to become daggers to her skin. "S-sorry." she apologized quietly after a while, knowing her sudden raise of voice could be offensive to them. She always hated to be ignored, but huge doses of attention isn't what she wanted either.

That was one of the things that managed to get Jack angry. His eyes blazed and the snow whirled around, " Do not ever shout at me, " he said is in such a clear yet icy voice that made him flinch mentally. Snow and ice reacted to his emotion, when he grieved they moved not. When he was angry, they got angry, they would whirl around and wait for Jack's command to attack.

Charlie whirled around to face Jack holding her own dagger out at a point to his throat. "Don't you even order her around like that you selfish, arrogant jerk!" She hissed at Jack. She turned around to Raphaela, "No. Dear, the battle ended a few hours ago. It was awful."

"W-What?! N-no! It ca-can't be!" she said. Anger and pain spread through her body. Shaking, she fell to her knees, face in her hands. How could she? Stay away from the war and expect everyone to be safe? Both humiliated and blood lusting for revenge, she began to sob softly. "Gen.." she whispered.

Charlie dropped along with Raphaela, gently patting her shoulder. She whispered soothing words, "It'll be ok. Everything will be alright." Charlie shot a look at Jack, saying, 'This is all your fault. She was scared and you made it worse. Burn in Hell.'
