| (( Hey there, Lyra. First of all, welcome to CHB! xD
That aside, there are some steps you have to follow before you can start role playing just yet. No worries, it's a pretty short process, two days tops because of our amazingly active admin - but the time really depends on how long it takes you to read and to create a character.
Anyways, first, you should check out Rules & Joining forum and read all the stickied topics that have a "(MUST READ)" after them (Because, you know, they have to be read xD). After that's all done and you've read everything through properly, you must HUNT for the code word and PM it to an admin before posting your character in a thread titled "Lyra Whitlock's Characters" or something along those lines.
After that, your character will either get accepted or you will receive some suggestions on how to get your character accepted. ;]
For quick acceptance, I would recommend lots of details and making your character flawed. If you want some characters that are pretty nice, just look around Rules & Joining. All of our members tend to have pretty good characters.
If you have any other questions you can ask/pm me, another mod/admin, or just any other members around. The people here are pretty friendly and helpful so they'll most likely answer any questions you have. IF THEY SNUB YOU, YOU JUST COME AND TELL ME ALRIGHT?! xD
