History

Annaleah Ashwood promised things that ultimately changed the course of her life (melodramatic, you say?). She promised her mother that she would love her family unconditionally. She promised her friends that she would always be their for them, no matter the circumstance.

So why did dear Annaleah isolate herself?

Rumors float all around, taunting dear Annaleah. Some say it was a dark night, a party, and a boy whom took advantage of her. Some say she secretly worships the porcelain god. Everything about Anna is a mystery. She is more reserved and quiet than most, attracting others to love the gossip that haunts her soul.

Annaleah was taunted in kindergarten by the elder children, teasing her and calling her a terrorist because of her 9/11 birth and her sixth birthday, occurring on the date of the destruction of the twin towers.

Ever since seventh grade, people envied the poor child or mocked her. She started to watch television too much and recently discovered the hells of the Internet--pro-ana websites. She learned to binge and purge from pro-mia sites, ultimately taking over her life.

Being the daughter of the god of pain and sarcasm, people often thought she wasn’t serious about this weight problem of hers, which made it easier to sneak food away so she could binge (then purge) later.

She went to a rehabilitation center and is currently seeing a psychiatrist, unfortunately she has relapsed. Her relapse was ’helped,’ per se, by a fellow recovering bulimic (and demigod) of the name Mikayla (or Mickey/Mia) whom taught her the ropes to being thin and “perfection.”

Mickey introduced Anna to dieting pills and laxatives, but Anna feels gross using them.

Mickey and Anna joined Camp Half-Blood together, last year, as an escape from the real world (and because they lied about their physical and mental conditions).

Since then Anna and Mickey have cycled through an unhealthy weight spectrum.

Physical Appearance

She stands at the petite height of 5’3,” her thin frame complementing her subtle curves, yet you can see the beginning of her ribcage if she wears a bikini top (she‘s rather athletic from surfing, but she becomes envious of the other girls). Annaleah’s complexion varies because of her sickly self, but it’s slightly tanned in the summer (usually it’s an icy white). Her eyes are a hazel and when photographed properly are a deep indigo (like the beauty Elizabeth Taylor). Her eyebrows may seem waxed, but they’re all natural.

Annaleah’s has high, firm cheekbones (one of her best features, besides her eyes).
Her beach blonde hair exceeds her breastbone, often pulled in a pony, loose braid or laying on her small shoulders.

Although her petite height suggests an adorable look, Anna is working toward the ’hourglass’ figure (which she has an athletic one instead), but her fluctuating weight prevents her from it. She prefers clothing that hugs her figure and hips, like her denim leggings. She likes loose, off-the-shoulder, sweatshirts that show a little skin, but so people don‘t suspect anything, she wears hoodies and sweats and the occasional sundress. She collects Converse, her favorite being a custom-made one with black soles, a checkered black-and-white canvas and bright white laces.

Personality

Anna is more quiet and reserved than most people, and only gets loud when she's around people that she knows. Annaleah is easily tamed, and, unfortunately, gullible because of this. She has a positive outlook on life, but leans on the pessimist side those odd days (but is usually a realist). Annaleah has an unusual dependency on those close to her, yet has a hard time trusting strangers or acquaintances (you she‘s trustworthy herself). However, whenever Anna gets close to someone, she can trust them too easily and believe whatever someone tells her.
Annaleah's not exactly shy, but, then again, she's not outgoing. Anna dislikes confrontation, and would do anything to avoid it (she hates the spotlight). She's rather sensitive, and can easily be brought to tears if someone was picking on her. She is, however, honest and straightforward (when forced into confrontation), defining her as a b-tch (but she isn’t).

Some days, Anna’s a “walking disaster.” She prefers to stay in the background until she is needed, cautious of her footing not to cause harm.
Anna is somewhat nerdy, and enjoys playing video games over anything else.

Fatal Flaw

Being gullible (and too open at times), insecure (especially of her weight) and afraid of confrontation (she‘s not a fighter).

Talents

Anna's best at causing mayhem, surfing (and swimming), photography and tearing people down in videogames. She excellent at keeping secrets and semi-okay at distracting, stalling and sarcasm.

Her adorable smile (and pout), and her…. ability to swim (or surf) to safety?

She’s terrible at lying (yet amazing at stalling) and can beat anyone in a Pokemon battle and loves the Zelda franchise (as well as Sims).
