"I suppose," i reply politely to the girl, "what about you, I haven't seen you training, this is the arena you know."

"Then obviously your new, 'cause I've been here for 10 years." I said with a smirk. I lightly fingered each of the ten beads on my necklace. "Not to mention I usually practiced at night, like midnight or three in the morning."

"I am new." I say, "Just came here a couple of days ago."

"See? That's why." I pointed out.

"thats why what?" I ask slightly confused.

"You haven't seen me around." I said in a matter-of-fact tone.

"ahh..." i say trying to remember "god of lightning or something right? im afraid im not too familiar with the greek pantheon."

I tense at her change of posture. not visibly though.
"I am the child of Bishamonten," I say humbly but with pride.

"Yeah, I think I hear Erik calling me. Bye!" I called racing off.

Wow, Phoenix thought. "What is with all the people in this camp." she said quietly to herself.

"I know what you mean," i say to this girl. "its more people than I've ever dealt with in my life." I sigh, "anyways my names shimoko, i still haven't caught yours." i say extending my hand.

"Phoenix." She said simply before shaking the boy's hand.

"Its a pleasure to meet you." I say, "I saw you practicing before. you aren't that bad." I say politely, "It takes skill to wield two blades," i observe.

I look at the girl feeling slightly awkward. I wasnt good at small talk and i wasnt going to embarrass myself trying. yet it would be rude to say nothing. what to do what to do.

"So who's son are you?" She asked when she saw the boy uncomfortable. She usually doesn't talk much but when she sees someone feeling awkward she doesn't like the feeling so she starts conversation.
