Liam had situated himself in some light armor with his hide and bronze shield in his left hand and his bronze xiphos in the other. He wanted to get the most realistic feel of combat, so suiting up fully pretty much did the job. The only better thing would have the dummy alive.
He had to keep practicing, especially with his right hand in bad shape. So he positioned himself a little to the right of the dummy. Raised his shield so it blocked his body but not his face so he could still see. He had his sword down, but ready in his hand.
He slowly breathed in and out before attacking. He played through his mind a hit to stumble and then a 3 hit combo that could immobilize most enemies. That were humanoid at-least.He breathed out one last time before going. He pushed his shield a bit forward and to the left(which would hit the weapon of the dummy, pushing it back if real) while he pulled his sword across and closer to him. He then sent the xiphos out with a side slash across the gut of the dummy, digging in a few inches. He carried it out to his side and pulled up and slashed down on the dummies left shoulder. Then he it took back while sliding his hand a little farther in the straps of his shield so he could grab the sword. He twisted it in his right hand to the bottom of the hilt so its point faced straight toward the dummy. He then grabbed the upper part of the hilt and jutted the sword toward the dummy, stabbing it in the gut.A perfect kill.
The attack only took a few seconds but it seemed like a long time while in the moment . He gripped his sword a bit tighter and twisted his right wrist to stretch it. Bad idea. Pain sot through his right hand and lower arm. He dropped the leaf-bladed sword and shield and grab his wrist with his left hand as he grimaced.
