Gotta Practice to Win Everytime

I ran twards the Javilin that was stuck into the ground. I was still running when I plucked it from the ground. I took one last great step before throwing all of my body weight into the javilin I was tossing. Being a center fielder in baseball made this kind of throwing second nature to me. I had put so much effort into the throw I stumbled a couple of steps forward. But I didnt pull myself up untill I heard the thud of the javilin landing. I threw myself back up straight, slicking back my wet, sweaty bangs out of my face. The javilin was stuck inside the target. I threw my fist into the air in excitement with a quick yes! Even at 40 yards I was still hitting the target. I had been building up to this distance all day, starting with ten all the way to this. It took alot of effort to be the best, alot of other halfbloods I had to beat here at camp. And I wouldnt dare let my mother down and fail at anything. I smiled, content with the work I had done this day.

Alex walked into the arena looking from the excited boy to the javlin. I walked over Picked one up, and Tosed it side ways. It landed in a dummies head 190 ft away Exploding into hay. " If you want to hurt your victoms then you need more power, you see that? with head gear that barely would have scrtched 'em. Probebly a nasty headache in the mornin though." he walked over "These" he said lifting one " are more than a baseball."

I watched with a little bit of shock in my face as he threw the javlin further and with more power then I had all afternoon. That shock was quickly wisped away by anger. "Listen man, I dont know who you are, but I didnt ask for your advice. I just threw that thing twice as far as any mortal my age!" I exploded in anger, I rushed up to him my face in his. "And I dont like you coming in here and just completly blowing my throw out of the water like it was no big deal. Ive been working my butt off all day teaching myself how to throw these stupid pieces of wood. Who in Hades are you anyway?!" I questioned furiously.

Ah, a temper i see, Well Im alex, and you could use pionters. But if you insist on being so mad, how about a dual? something to relaese you stress?" i said smirking. "Or you can continue for days on end, and learn it worngly... but to throw further than me? you have to be here more than four years, even if i've been here two. My dad specailizes in throwing so... yes i am here to blow your throw out of the water..." I grinned to myself.

"Well I've been here for alot longer then four years Mr. Alex! I've just never bothered much with throwing twiggs!" I yelled in frustration. "And I dont know who you're dad is but that dual sounds alot like a challenge. I dont back down from a challenge." I said with a calmer but darker tone of voice as I plucked my sword out of the ground.

I walk in the arena, seeing two people in the middle of the argument. Using all my power, I encase the boys in a field of high grass. "Whats the problem?" I ask angrily, arms crossed. I hate arguments.

Oh... Ok, my bad, but these 'twigs' as you say, are the most advanced weapons, of this geration. Yeah sure back in the day when they were just stabing things, you might not practice, but here? THats a Life line. The problem? He's mad that i threw my javilen farther, than him... He still doesnt get it that my dads the god of Falling stars. SO i shopuld be able to throw farther!" My iris dialated, to nothing but black eyeball. Lets gets this over with..." I sadi , my voice much deeper and kinda echoing.

God of falling stars? I thought to myself, Ive never even heard of him before. Hes just another minor God child, just like me. But that didnt matter now, I had accepted his challange, minor God kid or not I was fight him. I griped my curved sword tighter in my right hand. I leaned back a bit on the same sided leg, sticking my left one out some. This brought me lower to the ground. I was hoping that I would be slightly covered by the grass so that he wouldnt know when my strike would come. My eyes nerrowed with focus as I waited for him to be on guard, this was just a dual after all, I didnt want to cheat or kill him or anything of that matter.

"Falling stars?" I say. I summon the grass back underground. "Im usually not mean, but my mom's Demeter. As in, I can encase you in a tree. Or kill you with rose thorns."

huh... nah it takes more than a few thorns, God? more like Titan, Kiros, Titan of Constlations and falling stars, HOw are you?" I said in a calm voice, I swept my left leg, quickly towards the boys face, With already, my counter attack for his retreat, if he does.

From my spot at the sidelines I laugh. Both at these campers dispute over such a trivial matter and at this kids attack. I mean, a kick? dont bring brawling to a sword fight, martial arts maybe but not such a wild attack, it leaves you open.
I was content to watch for now though, and leave them to settle their dispute on their own.
