Apollo Cabin

I laugh and look at my brother. "Yes, I do. I have-sorry, had- an annoying older sister who sang it ALL the time." I grab my guitar and begin to strum my own version "California Gurls" by Katy Perry, which my sister used to sing as well.

My smile faded as I heard her say had. "... Was she one of our sisters?" I say, kind of timidly. I knew that campers had a hard time getting here, but I had never actually heard of any actually dying on their way here. Don't get me wrong, I know they did... I just hadn't heard of any.

I look at him, a little uncomfortable. "Umm, yes, actually. But we didn't have the closest relationship. We never really have. She and I were twins, you see..." I start to talk, but I stop, not wanting to drone on and on with a story he probably didn't want to hear.

I take a deep breath, pushing the painful memories I had shoved in the back of my brain to my attention, not an easy task. I had to take another breath just to keep from tearing up. I force the name I always thought but never spoke out of my lips. "Emily. That's her name."

I force out a weak smile, feeling better now. "We were-" I sigh, realizing that it is useless using the past tense. "-ARE twins. We lived together with my mother until we were seven. I remember her completely, even today. We thought that our dad was my mom's new husband. We never doubted it for a moment." I take a deep breath and exhale, knowing that it's not going to get any easier telling the story. "Then, IT happened."

I cough and clear my throat. "Well, one day, Emily and I were hanging out in our front yard, playing football with the neighborhood kids, like we did almost every day, and my mom and 'dad,'" I put air quotes around the word, "dad," "were sitting on the porch, watching us. All of a sudden, Michael, a friend, threw the ball at Emily, and she got nailed in the stomach. It really wasn't that bad, but she just got really mad. I had never seen her like that before." I shudder at the memory of that fateful day. "She took the football, and it began glowing. It didn't stop there. It kept getting brighter and brighter until it was on fire. She chucked it at Mike, who ducked, thank the gods, and it landed on the roof next door. The whole place caught fire and burned down in minutes. I just watched in amazement and horror." I take another breath and try not to let my voice crack. "They called it vandalism for the press- my parents. My mom's face was just indescribable, like she knew something like this would happen, but she wished it wouldn't." I sniff and compose myself quickly. "She was sent away that day. I was told never to speak her name again, ever. I was told to forget her and that day. It was like trying to forget part of myself. Emily was adopted by some other family three thousand miles away, somewhere in Washington. I haven't seen her since that day." I look away and begin to break down for the first time in years.

I continue to break down, crying more than I ever had in my entire life. I try to let out a smile unsuccessfully. I just fall over on Davian, crying into his shirt. Oh gods, mom would kill me if she only knew I just told my siblings about Em I think.

I quickly compose myself walk up to the door. I try to keep a poker face as I stare at him intently for a minute; a lioness eying down her prey.

OOC:Sure,since you are my best bud.

BIC:I put on a scared face and looked down at the floor.Why was she looking at me like that? i thought to myself.

ooc: I wonder why??

I walk until I'm at Carson's face. I stare intently for a moment and then immediately begin cracking up.

I stop laughing immediately and say "Everyone, this is my friend Carson. We almost went out..." I look into his face, feeling his anxiousness. "but we decided not to." I wink at him.
