Apollo Cabin

I take the piece from his and raise it up. To Apollo! I say before taking a bite. Mmm. I'll have to sneak out more often. Next time, I vote you come with me to try some Chinese. I laugh and fold it halfway, like I usually do, and take a bigger bite.

I watch as the boy introduces himself to me. Well, thats nice. "Hey I'm Josh." I said it happily when I relized that the boy also mention of how good the Hephaestus girl was at forging. Well, I wouldn't ever like working with metal all day long. Not that I'm just scared of getting dirty.

I know that I'm not that strong, but being a healer, I have to deal with the gory, dirty, bad things of life. I look around as the two others talk to each other. The sun bore down more and more, why did I choose this spot. My sweat beaded down heavily, being in my sleeping bag to avoid attention, I was boiling. Since he is the god of the sun and moon, this place just had to be borred down with heat.

"So, there are sing-a-longs led by cabin 7?" I say it while the other two enjoy pizza, I smack my lips, but I don't wanna be rude, so I didn't go up and ask for a slice.

I laugh as Josh smacks his lips. I take the box and pass it over to him. Be sure to get rid of the evidence when you're done. I continue eating and some sauce drips on my shirt. Oh crap. This is my cleanest shirt. I say sarcastically, pointing to the oil smudges and rips all over my "Vote for Pedro" shirt.

I realize Kallie had been speaking with an accent, the same one he was always hiding. I smile. "No messes in the Sun Cabin, Forge-girl."

I took out a chunk of pizza into my mouth. It tasted pretty good. I always liked cheese anyway. The guy handed my a guitar, I took it and strummed down. It felt good, so I tried with some fingers on it. It sounded sweet and lovely. I admired myself as I played out some sort of a Greek song. I didn't know how I did it, but I just continued.

I chuckle, "Ha! It feels so good! And thanks for the pizza."

I laugh at the boy's comment about not messing with Apollo. Well, we in Hephaestus have y'all t' thank for the sun stuff. Sun makes fire, ya know, and we all need fire to make our stuff. Suddenly realizing how comfortable I was in Apollo, I stop trying to mask my Nashville accent. I been cooped up 'n my cabin all the time, but I think I'll come here more often. You sure are real nice here I add, exaggerating my accent more.

(it's funny, cause I actually do have an accent! Haha)

I was caught up in the music. Automatically my foot stepped at the beat as I played different chords. C, e, f, b, d, all the chords I just somehow knew. I played my music as the girl was talking about Hephaestus. "I'm glad you like it here. I recently got here myself."

I smile brightly at Davian, and my focus shifts to the boy playing guitar. Dav's right. You're pretty good. Way better than a lot of the artists who got record deals back home I add, listening to the amazing guitar playing.

I seriously looked at my fingers as I naturally played a song. I heard the other two complimenting me. I smiled, not sure if I was comfortable enough to start having a coversation while I played guitar. I could feel my fingers start to sting. I ignored the sting by just listening to the music. I managed to say something.

"Thanks, it seems so natural." Regular people had to practice and practice one one thing to be good. But if you are a demigod, its a lot different. Its like you were born with things you can or can't do. There is no big practicing. I could feel the music inside me beating. My feet tapped, I smiled more. I'm more welcome here than any other place I've been.

"I'm not exactly sure, I mean, he is the god of sun, not fire. But thats just me. But it wold be sweet if its possible."

I laugh at the comments of fire and add, Lex told me she could shoot a ball of fire from her hand, but it was only s big as a baseball. I try to imagine the possibility and suddenly see Alexia getting mad at an Aphrodite chick and singing her with the flick of her wrist.

I nod. "It is possible. Apollo is a god. Apollo's kids can manipulate it, but only very select few, with the blessing of Hephaestus. I know I can, i just choose not to."

I blink in surprisement and think Wow, these sun kids got the best deal. They actually have powers beside making cool stuff. I look up at the ceiling and quickly add, No offense, dad. You rock. Y'all got some pretty cool powers o'er here in Apollo!

I chuckled a little bit. "Aren't Hephaestus kids good with fire?"

I grunt "Yeah, fire is Hephaestus' domain. his kids usually can manipulate it, even create it. It takes a long time to earn the forge god's favor, I only have it because of my last quest. Apollo's kids stick to the sun. I can only manipulate fire, can't create it. and i can only manipulate it if i ask for Hephaestus' help, which he doesn't have to give. If he doesn't, no dice. It's not something you learn, it's the blessing of Hephaestus. Like the rage Ares causes if your around him."

I look up at the three of them for a moment and realize, You're right! He is the fire god! I'll have to try that sometime. I smile at Davian next to me and whisper, thanks for bringin' me o'er here, Dav.

I scoff. "Is no one listening? It can't be taught. I can't teach Poseidon's kids to bend the sunlight, its just something i can do, always have been able to. you're born with it, not taught it."

I shrug my shoulders after Seth's comment. He's right. I probably don't have it. My father is a great god, but not all of his children can create fire, from what I've seen. I lay back next to Davian and sigh silently, looking up at the ceiling.
