Hefting her laundry bag over her shoulder, Noor flicked her eyes across the laundromat she had entered. Despite the fact that it was pretty divey, it was one of the few public places she could go that didn't seem to alert every monster in a five-mile radius that a demigod was in residence when she used the vending machine. Remembering her manners, Noor allowed her gaze to linger on the patrons. The few that were there seemed wholly engrossed in ignoring everyone around them, leaning against the stacked washing machines and staring out the windows or fiddling with their phones. A quick once-over of their surface thoughts certified the fact that none of them were particularly interested in starting a conversation. Sighing slightly, she tipped her laundry out onto the counter and resigned herself to sorting her colours and darks in silence.

Noor blinked out of her reverie as the girl stuffed her laundry haphazardly into the wash. "Um..." Noor murmured, tensing slightly as Sab topped off her fabric monstrosity with a generous helping of detergent. Her eye felt dangerously close to twitching as she considered the mess Sab was about to make of her clothes - especially now that she was fairly sure someof what the newcomer had grabbed were probably hers. Noor haltingly resumed folding and separating, tilting her head slightly at her companion. "I'm... Noor. That's - what are you - aren't you going to sort that?"

Yep, her eye was definitely twitching now. Noor gingerly took - oh, my gods, was that her favourite sweater - her mangled sweater from Sab, fighting the growing urge to turn tail and find a new, monster-free laundromat. Sure, the chances might be slim (okay, basically impossible), but it could be worth it in the long run, right? She assessed the other girl's thoughts. They weren't easy to pick out, but Noor could at least tell she'd meant no actual harm. Noor carefully folded the sweater and placed it in its proper pile, resigning herself to deal with it later. "Well," she said, her resolve solidifying. "Yeah. I mean, it helps to keep them apart so the dyes don't mix..." Noor's hands inched towards Sab's pile. "I could help - if you want, that is?"

Noor felt a pang of sympathy for the girl and tried not to let it show on her face. She shifted slightly so that she could get a better vantage point of the situation. "Okay, well, as far as piles go..." Noor reached over and plucked a few of her own items as an example. "The main ones are whites, lights, mediums, and darks. Then there's hots and colds - that's the temperature of the water you'd wash them in." She held up a dark print tee and a pale blouse. "See, since this shirt is dark, it needs a cold cycle so the dyes don't bleed. The blouse gets a cold wash too, since it's delicate, but it's also a lighter colour so it needs its own pile." Noor refolded her examples and set them down, humming in though. She paused slightly, turning to see Sab's reaction. "Is this making any sense, or...?"
