Stars. That's all that Anna saw. She was actually quite surprised that there were that many considering in New York there was light pollution. it was just like back home in Paris when she was out in the city with al the lights glowing. She mailed to herself. She had to go back there someday even if she went by herself. A small fourteen year old girl on a plane to Paris. Alone. That's all she was right now. Alone. She had no one other then her friend Oliver, but she rarely saw him. She didn't have many friends at camp. The only real friend she had was books. She read them almost all the time. She read about anything. She had actually learned how to play some instruments from some books she found at the camp library. Other then that, those were the only people she knew.

Anna hugged her knees to her chest and looked back at the stars. She hoped an answer would come, somehow somewhere. An answer could just pop out of the stars. She didn't know what to do anymore because she had been getting those weird flashbacks since the apocalypse. The flashbacks were things she didn't enjoy an most of the time it would happen when she was outside of camp or just reading a book in the library. She sighed. She pulled her knees to her chest and looked around. Hopefully, the harpies wouldn't come. That was the last thing she needed right now. She saw a boy that was doing the same thing as her. He's probably not as crazy as I am though, She thought. She smiled. This is your chance to go make a friend... go make a friend you idiot. "Uh.. hello."

Dean left the Mess Hall early. He planned to lounge at Half Blood Hill before the curfew. The sky was pretty clear, void of anything except the stars, the small moon, and thin wisps of clouds moving ever so slowly in the night. Great for star gazing, or simply, just relaxing.

The memories of his arrival at camp always so fresh every time he climb this hill. He remembered that monster, appearing twice in his life bringing him misery every time. He swore he's going to kill that monster. Sooner or later. And find his father and maybe visit Rayden in Quilcene.

Man, he just realized he had a lot of goals in his life.

But for the meantime, he sat at the foot of Thalia's tree, under the shades of its branches. He still have a lot of training to do before he could even survive outside the camp borders. That's his priority. Now, sitting on the shade of Thalia's Pine is his goal. Not that it changed something or anything--he wa fine with either day or night--but the son of Nyx just want to see the leaves and comfort himself with nature.

Old habits die hard.

Of course, Dean noticed the girl sitting not far from him, but he didn't mind her. Let them both enjoy a peaceful and quiet night, with the stars above them.

He should have known what'd come next. Dean shifted his gaze from the sky to the girl. "Hello," he answered.

And because he just felt like it, he commented as he returned his gaze to the stars. "Fine night for star gazing, eh?"
