| Jason walked along the edge of the lake, up on some rocks that lined each side of the beach. Behind him sat the camp and the woods, so really anybody from camp could walk up without getting onto the rocks with jason. He just found that he was able to think better while up on them. He thought about recent events and how much he hated most of what happened, except for that girl he had come to think of as a little sister to him, naren, he enjoyed her company because she always seemed to be pretty happy. Anyways, the boy walked along these rocks thinking nothing of it. | |

It was a nice day for October. Warm enough to be able to go swimming (in Naren’s eyes). Of course the water was freezing and her siblings rendered her absolutely crazy but Naren didn’t care. The Long Island Sound was always cold, even in the summer (especially at 5 am), but she had lived her all her life and was not afraid of the cold. Naren loved the water and she loved swimming.
Naren had recently acquired several lessons in surfing from a child of poseidon in exchange for some items that had to be smuggled into camp. Naren had found she was quite good at surfing and had borrowed (more like stolen, she wasn’t going to give it back) a unused wetsuit and surfboard from cabin 3. There was no chance of getting any waves without wind or a powerful demigod to create them (as much power as Naren held at camp, she was not considered a powerful half-blood), so when Naren went to the shed where the canoes and her surfboard were kept, she also took a paddle, determined to give it back eventually (the chances of her giving it back were very slim - stubborn as she was).
Dragging her surfboard along the sand, Naren spotted a familiar figure walking along the edge of the water. It was her friend Jason, a son of Ares. Jason was really nice to Naren and she enjoyed his company, especially in comparison to his rambunctious and ruthless siblings. ”Jason!” Naren shouted dropping her surfboard and running over to her friend.

| Jason looked up at Hearing Naren's voice. "Hey kid. How's it going?" He askes and turns towards her. He smilies widely, the girl was very nice and he loved her the way he would love a little sister. "It's kinda cold to go swimming" he notes Upon seeing the wetsuit. Unknown to Jason though, and blocked from Naren's view by the rocks, Jason's foot had slipped down into a crack in the rocks. | |
