Quinn Alexander Leahy
Quinn sat alone on a bench with a lantern in one hand, and a lighter in the other. It had grown dark over camp, and the fiery lights put a golden glow on his face. His red hood was up over his ears, consuming the warmth that got trapped. Honestly, he wasn't sure if he should send a lantern up to Olympus. Quinn didn't know anybody he had grown close to in the apocalypse die. Well, there was that girl whom he had saved, and he hadn't heard from her since that fateful night. He couldn't remember her name, so what was the point of sending one up? Besides, he didn't even know if she was dead.
Most of his cabin mates were sleeping, just as they always were. Basically that was all the Morpheus campers did. Sleep. They woke up in time for breakfast and they went to class and practiced sword fighting, but after lunch and during free time they slept until dinner. Quinn was considered restless among his half siblings, because he constantly had to be doing something. Being silly or taking responsibility for his actions, it didn't matter. At home Quinn helped around the house, and so he did that at camp too. He was the helpful one.
When the wind died down and the air around the young half blood warmed up, Quinn rolled up the sleeve of his jacket, reveling a deep pale scar that he had earned while fighting the undead. With the help of the girl, who was Apollo's daughter, they stopped the infection before he became a zombie, but the damage had been done and there would always be that jagged line across his arm.
Finally deciding against sending up a lantern, Quinn set the paper contraption on the ground beside him and wasted time flicking the lighter on and off, watching the flames dance in front of his electric blue eyes. He still continued to do this when a camper sat beside him and then Quinn stopped, shoving the lighter in the pocket of his jeans. "Hi." He said casually, well as casually as he could. Usually he was a very happy and lighthearted person, but tonight he wanted to wallow in self regret, knowing that there was something or someone he could have saved from the zombies.
