| Rie Roberts- Daughter of Khione It wasn't Rie's fault she ended up at the edge of this camp. Ok, maybe it was just a little bit. But she swore inside her mind that she never wanted to come here, of all places. It was... Scary. The zombie hords were far behind her, and she was thankful that they were stupid and slow, the short attention spans also being in her favor. Rie didn't want to go back to camp tonight. Or any other night. The undead went after the weakest campers first, and Rie wasn't exactly a warrior. She was what was considered a coward. She couldn't even manage to kill a butterfly if her life depended on it. Still, as she walked hesitantly towards the entrance to the unfamiliar camp, she touched the silver dagger which was concealed in her boot. Rie had no means of ever using it, but it was a comfort to know that she had a way of defending herself. She looked at what she could inside the camp, and the first thing that came to mind was that it was quiet. The campers inside were sleeping soundly as can be, while their brothers and sisters fought for their lives. Rie was tired, her legs refusing to carry on further than where she was. She decided to sit on the ground in the blackness of night, and tear up the weeds that grew around her. The coolness of the antique locker sat in the hollow of her throat, and Rie smiled, sad and lonely. Inside were pictures of her parents, Shawn and Giselle, and of herself, only 6, and poking her head out of the tree house Shawn had built for her. Rie wished the sun would come up. That way she could travel back to Camp Half Blood and forget that she ever came here, no matter how much of an accident it was meant to be. But the dawn was relentless to come and shine through the horror of the night, and so Rie thought it would be best if a camper from Kronos' camp came and sent her on her way. She knew that some would pity her, while others would not hesitate to snap her neck in a split second. Rie shuddered at thinking of the latter. She'd done nothing to deserve it. Come to think of it, Rie had done nothing to earn the Zombies that chased her here. | |
