| nicole jane mller Nikki watched the sunset behind cabin two's mighty walls before sprinting out of sight. She knew what was happening, and didn't want any part of it; at least not with her cabin. Why would she want to hide with a bunch of smelly teenagers when she could just survive on her own? At least, the blonde was positive that she had her life under control. Lighting up one of her cigarettes, she smiled at her destination; an abandoned shed between the forgery and the medical station. Nikki knew it would be looked as a terrible place to stay by the common eye, but she had faith in it. Cracking open the door, she slipped inside, throwing her backpack to the side of the wall. The small bit of sunlight left allowed her to view the small area, showing a table, a few chairs, and an old rug. Crushing her cigarette butt under her foot, darkness filled the shed. It was big enough for her to work with for now. Nikki's first goal was to set up a way to defense. This was one of the times that she was sober enough to think, just not wisely. The demigod's dagger was constantly at her side, ready to strike if needed. The last few rays of light were vanishing under the horizon as she covered the single window. click layout and graphics (c) sapphire | |

| r a y allllh o e t elllld a u g h t e rllllo fllllt y c h ellllthe last bits of light were falling faint behind the hills of Camp Half Blood, and Ray was sure things weren't going to make for an easy night. She had made the decision to set off on her own the moment word got out of the invasion. all through the day-lit hours she gathered anything she would need for the coming few nights. a whole back pack full of supplies, things from stolen ambrosia to socks. her knife was strapped around her jeans on her thigh and a bow was slung around her neck. covered from head to toe, not minding the heat. food was harder to get her hands on, for they were usually reserved for the larger groups and hideouts. Ray had already picked where she would be going earlier that morning, and sharing was no where on her check list. ray made it to the old shed with only seconds to spare until sundown. taking one last glance over her shoulder, giving an attempt at a last perimeter check, she concluded she wasn't watched, nor were there any zombie things lurking close by, yet anyway. she fiddled with the lock and it only took her a moment to make it release. she reminded herself to fix that, make something more complicated. with that, she went inside, and ray saw the figure the moment she peaked through. she saw the figure the second the door opened. immediately an arrow was slung through her bow and pointed at the shadow. the wind or some sort of draft must've shut the door behind her because it slammed shut. She would have probably taken her shot right away if she hadn't realized that some zombie locked in a shed, standing by the window wasn't exactly practical. still she held up her guard. the darkness didn't help much. "who's there?" she called out, her eyes narrowed and voice fierce. clicky | |

| nicole jane mller Nikki's heart skipped a beat at the sound of someone, or something entering her shelter. She spun around, almost falling over her own feet, and saw darkness engulf the shed. "Don't shoot!" she exclaimed, hoping that whatever entered wasn't going to kill her. The demigod hadn't expected any interruptions for another few minutes, seeing as the sun was just recently setting. Feeling slightly angered, Nikki gripped her weapon's hilt in her hand. "The name's Nikki." she answered hesitantly, not loosening her grip. For all she knew, it could've been an enemy camper from Kronos. The demigod hadn't wanted another person sharing her hiding place, or even knowing of it; but then again if zombies did find the shed, help could be needed, not that she would ever admit that. Deciding that fighting an unknown person in the dark would be pointless, she lifted over to her bag, grabbing her cigarette lighter. Flicking the cap upwards, a small flame illuminated the small room. "Daughter of Deimos," Nikki added icily. Even with the windows covered, she couldn't feel safe in the shed quite yet. The smell of demigod blood would have to be masked tomorrow, if she lived that long. Something in the back of her mind told her she might live longer with an ally in all of this. "You're not just going to stand there are you; there are plenty of zombies to get ready for," she barked, having a quick change of heart. click layout and graphics (c) sapphire | |
