A long, heavy sigh escaped Corinne lips as her steel blue eyes glanced at the clock again for the umpteenth time that hour. Chewing on her bottom lip, she gripped at the sheets of her not-so-neat-anymore bed and turned her attention to the blueprint-covered ceiling of Cabin 9. As she fought the urge to just rip her hair out of complete impatience, Cori just gripped the sheets harder. Time seemed to have slowed down to the point that it felt like no time has passed since the last time she's glanced at the clock. Doing just that, the daughter of Hephaestus groaned loudly when she noticed not even a minuted has passed.

How much longer?

The fact that Rin knew exactly how much longer until it was time certainly didn't help her situation. Still twenty eight minutes until it was time for her to leave... Leave for her trip to France. Paris with Adamo... The thought itself eased her unnerving impatience and caused to grin to herself. But then the grin suddenly faded when the thought of this actually being reality settled in... again. Thoughts of how various things could end up played through Corin's mind, but she shut her eyes tightly trying to calm herself down again.

Calm down, Rin. Calm down. A bloody Chimera is not going to come by and wreak havoc throughout the city of love while you're there. There are probably so many other demigods aside from just you and Adam there... Wait... That doesn't help... Ugh!

Suddenly jumping to her feet, Corinne just huffed. Grabbing her bag with her hand and throwing her over-the-shoulder bag over her shoulder, she walked out of the Hephaestus cabin, leaving behind a messy bed and her annoyingly negative thoughts.

Being early doesn't mean I'm too excited about this trip... Right? I mean, of course I'm excited but... Ugh, I should just stop. Those thoughts echoed in Corin's mind so much as she walked determinedly through camp that she almost missed some of her friends yelling "bye"’s and "good luck"’s after her. “Oh, uh- bye guys! I'll see you guys when we get back!” she called finally quickly waving to her friends.

But perhaps turning around to wave wasn't the best idea because just as she was turning around Rin rammed right into someone, causing her to stumble back into her bag. “Bloody Hades, sorry. That was my bad, in a hurry-” She stopped herself. Well... At least now she knew she really was excited as well as pretty nervous about the trip. She was bloody apologizing! Granted, it was her fault, but normally, she would just curtly brush it off and walk away without a care. This trip was doing things that she did not want to happen to her.

Quickly regaining her composure, she just stood back up and brushed herself off in her now normal disposition. Pushing a strand of snow white hair behind her ear, Corin cleared her throat and finally raised her eyes to see who she bumped into before making the final decision to apologize properly or not before returning to her journey to the meeting point at Half Blood Hill where she and Adam agreed to meet before they headed to the airport.

Adam was finishing packing. He was excited for his trip to Paris with Corin. He had been waiting for this trip for about a month. He had planned it so they could spend their one year anniversary there. However, he was nervous just a bit. What if the plan crashed and we're stuck in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean? What if this is a bad plan?, He thought. He had been worrying about this trip for a while, but he just decided to push the bad thoughts in the back of his mind and think of the good things that would happen on this trip. Then his clock rang. It was 7:30, the original time he was supposed to wake up. But he was too excited/nervous for his trip he woke up at 5. They were supposed to meet at Half Blood Hill at 8 and drive to the airport and be there at 8:15 and get o their 8:30 plane. He had thought of everything for this trip. He just hoped Corin would like it.

Adam quickly finished packing and put on his coat. When he walked outside, he felt the cool, crisp air. He smiled, it was just like the first day they met. He couldn't wait for their trip. On the day of their anniversary, he would take her to the top of the Eiffel Tower. It was the number one thing to do in Paris. He felt like a little kid in the candy shop. There was so many different types of candy, but the one he always loved no matter what was Corin. He loved her with all his heart. It was an odd feeling to him, considering no one had never made him feel this way. The last time he felt like this was when he was adopted by his foster family.

Adam kept on walking to Half Blood Hill. Eventually, when he got there he waited for Corin. Then suddenly, someone knocked into him. He fell onto the ground, but got up and brushed himself off. Then he looked who had bumped into him and saw that it was Corin.

Embarrassment rarely ever seemed to get to Rin. She would simply not care because she was confident in herself, but for some reason, whenever it was in front of Adamo, for whatever reason, she gets flustered at times. Falling like an idiot on her butt in front of him certainly was one of those times. Feeling some heat rise to her cheeks, the daughter of Hephaestus bit her lip before she realized that she probably should apologize.

Talk now you stupid idiot!

The thought to herself was what made Rin's vocal chords finally work again. "O-oh, Adamo," she began with a soft smile. "I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking. You okay?" With her as-always gloved right hand, she pushed back her hair and took a quick glance over him, noting his bags. At that, she grinned. "I take it that you're ready?" she asked, somewhat relieved she didn't seem like she was overly excited for the trip right then.

Ignoring her still slightly warm cheeks, Corin glanced at her watch. 8:37. There was still plenty of time before their flight, which was one of the few things that she really even knew about the trip. Oddly enough, Rin didn't plan- let alone know- every detail of the trip. Adam was the one who had planned the majority of it, really which made the Daughter of Hephaestus all the more excited. The glint in her eyes made that evident. To think, she had such a great boyfriend that he planned this trip while she was busy at London. All she knew was it was headed for Paris and one of their stops was going to be the Eiffel Tower. She didn't even know particularly when their visit to the Eiffel Tower would happen! But with their anniversary just a few days away, she could only hope it would be on that day. Maybe, maybe not, but a girl can dream.

I really can't wait anymore. What if we will go to the Eiffel Tower on our anni? Oh, that would be just lovely... I wonder if he'll like the gift I got him and the other one I made... I hope everything will be fine. Ugh, Corinne, get a hold of yourself. Just enjoy the trip your lovely boyfriend planned for you... Yeah...

All the while she was thinking these things, Corinne found herself subconsciously staring at Adam's perfect profile. Finally catching herself after a few moments, she looked down to hide her blush and took his hand with her free one and began walking up the hill. A smile had crept onto her face as she glanced at him with still lightly-tinted cheeks, but there was no hiding it now how happy she was to be with him. "Well come on then," she urged, tugging on his hand as she walk towards the border.

Adamo smiled at Corin. "It's all right Cori. As long as your not hurt I'm okay." He said tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "Of course I'm ready. Why wouldn't I be?" He asked with a smirk. Corin always made him feel happy. He had never felt one of those lovey dovey feelings before. He hoped he never had lovey dovey feeling for another girl. Corin and Adamo were so alike in so many ways. But he just loved her so much. He didn't enjoy it when Corin had to go to London. He managed to keep his mind on something else, but it always wandered back to Corin. He just wished they could be together forever, forever and ever. He wandered what they would with their lives when they got just a bit older. Would they get married? Would they have kids? Adamo did want to get married to Corin and he also did what kids, but what did she want to do?

Her tug on his hand brought him back to reality. He laced his fingers with her and took her to his car and opened the car. Once they buckled, he started driving to the airport.

To be completely honest, sometimes Corinne just couldn't believe that she and Adamo were actually a couple. Sometimes, she just didn't believe that she was good enough for him, and that's coming from a girl who was on her way to becoming a model! Though despite who she was, despite the fact it's been nearly a year, the daughter of Hephaestus still couldn't believe that she was his and vice versa. She can barely get used to him doing the little things that he does that make her blush, like pushing her hair away from her face just as he had just done.

Smiling at his words and his nickname for her, Corinne couldn't help but feel her heart skip a beat. He had always put her ahead of himself, something that people had rarely done before, and the daughter of Hephaestus was grateful for that. To know that someone like Adam cared so much about her made her feel special. She loved the fact that she could be herself around him and that he was basically the only person she cared so much about in this kind of way. Corinne just hoped it would last for a long, long while.

By the time they had gotten in the car and a comfortable silence filled the air, Cori sighed slightly. "Adamo.” She said his name somewhat softly as she turned to him. "What do you have planned?" she asked finally after a moment's pause. As a mischievous gleam shined in her eyes, it was apparent she was curious. Having gotten back from England just week before, she hasn't really had the chance to ask him so now, just as they were on their way, she still wanted to ask. She smiled at him, wondering how he would answer, but either way, she was dying to know.

Adam smiled when she blushed. He was so happy that she was his'. He was so happy that she was only his and no one else's. He wouldn't have to share her with anyone else. He liked it that way. He just loved her so much he didn't want to share her with anyone else. If someone ever hurt her he would kill them. Just that though made him hug Corin tightly. He just loved her so much, It would hurt him to see her upset or hurt.

Eventually, when they were in the car, Adamo started driving. Then when Corinne asked him what he planned he smiled. "I can't tell, it's a surprise. But one thing we're certainly going to do is go to the Eiffel Tower." He said. Then they were at the airport.

There truly was no replacing Adam's touch. The seemingly out of nowhere hug that he gave her Corinne still cherished. Before they reached the car, she returned the hug, burying her face into his broad shoulder that made her feel safe and secure. It was moments like this that Rin knew she wouldn't replace with anything else nor could she even imagine doing things like this with anyone else other than Adamo. A soft smile was placed on her lips as she glanced at his handsome profile before getting in the car.

When the son of Nyx refused to say anything about the trip, she pouted playfully in response. The mischievous shine in her blue eyes made it obvious that she wanted to know but at the same time was excited to be surprised. “But Ada-poo, I wanna knoooow,” she persisted playfully, seeing if it would work. The idea of using "Ada-poo" to annoy him came out of completely nowhere, and even Corin herself had to bite her lip to keep from bursting into a fit of laughter. Though, the massive grin on her face made it evident as to how much she wanted to laugh right then.

The fact that they really were going to the Eiffel Tower did seem to calm her down though. Her eyes shined all the more, and without even noticing it, Rin began leaning slightly forward in her seat as though she wanted the car to go faster. She even began to rub the palm of her hands on her knees. When she finally noticed what she was doing, Corin scrunched her nose up in disapproval of herself. "Stupid ADHD," she whispered to herself spitefully. The daughter of Hephaestus had always hated her ADHD and her dyslexia too. Both had made her life ridiculously difficult. In fact, Rin has officially decided that if she could change anything about herself, it would be to get rid of those things. With a sigh and a shake of her head, though, she just brushed it off, knowing she couldn't do anything about it one way or another.

Finally, though, once they arrived at the airport and the car had been parked, Corin gave an excited giggle. Stepping out of the car with her bags with a satisfied sigh, the daughter of Hephaestus was more excited right then than she had ever been. “Let's go! Let's go! Let's go!” she giggled to Adamo like she was a little toddler.

He laughed when Corinne called him Ada-poo. "Where did you get that from?" He asked smiling. "I know you wanna knooow, but it's a surprise." He said and turned to look at her. they were going to do a lot in Paris that was all Adamo knew. He also knew that they were definitely going to the Eiffel Tower. The rest we was just going to wing it. He probably wan't the best winger, but he wanted Corinne to do what she wanted to do. He didn't care at all. He just wanted to have a great anniversary with Corinne.

When, Adamo finally parked the car, he smiled when Cori told him Let's go. He quickly got out of the car and got their bags. Then, he started walking with Corinne to the airport. it wasn't a long walk which was good. When they got inside. he put the bags on the conveyor belt. He took Corinne's hand and went to get on the plane. he gave the flight attendant their tickets and boarded the plane.

Corinne let out a melodic laugh right along with Adamo. Her shining blue eyes glanced over at her boyfriend before she replied. “I really dont know, Adam; but I'm gonna use that again and again,” she admitted truthfully. Mischief was apparent in her smirk until he faded at his next sentence. Again, she pouted at his stubbornness. She really really wanted to know, but she knew he could be as stubborn as she was so it was really no use.

By the time they had finally gotten onto the plane, Rin was giggling out of excitement but she quickly cleared her throat. Looking down, she tried her blushing face out of embarrassment. “I should really stop acting like such a kid,” she said, unsure whether or not Adamo heard her. It didn't matter either way because she really was just talking to herself as she glanced out the window to her left but nonetheless. This was it; they were going to have the time of their lives.

TIME SKIP TO ANNIVERSARY

Adamo was in his room by himself considering Corin was in her own room. Today was their anniversary. He was excited and worried at the same time. He had been awake practically all night. Finally, he got up and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. He wasn't that hungry, he just had to get his mind off their anniversary for awhile. He walked to the cabinet and pulled out Fruity Pebbles along with a bowl and a spoon. He poured the Fruity Pebbles in and put the tasty cereal back. He poured in some milk and began eating. He took a bite and smiled. He hadn't had Fruity Pebbles in a long time. He remembered having it when he was younger in the foster home. Then he quickly continued eating. He didn't want to remember the foster home memories. In a matter of seconds, he finished his cereal. Maybe I wasn't as hungry as I thought I was, He thought. He put the bowl and spoon in the sink and went to the bathroom to brush his teeth. He got dressed in a white dress shirt with jeans and black leather shoes. He felt underdressed, but he didn't know what to wear. Then he quickly combed his hair. Soon, he was ready. He grabbed the bouquet of flowers he had bought for Corin and grabbed his key. Then he left his hotel room.

Adam walked to Corin's room. What if she wasn't ready yet? What if she was waiting for over an hour for him? His hands began to sweat, but he knocked on the dorr waiting for her to answer.
