| "The Dynamo" Name: Magnus Starkweather Age/Birthday: 19. Born July 4. Gender: Male God Parent: Zeus Mortal Parent: Rachel Starkweather Years in Camp: 6 Brief History: Magnus Starkweather was born on Memorial Day in Houston. His mother, Rachel, attracted Zeus by being a strong-willed Cabinet member and a board member of Xe LLC, a private military company. She used her political knowledge and ambition to construct a solid reputation for herself and rise through the ranks, becoming Secretary of Defense when Magnus was only three. Due to this, Magnus himself has a few connections within the American military-industrial complex. Rachel's salary afforded herself and her son a luxurious and safe lifestyle on the outskirts of Houston. Even when the Starkweather mansion was attacked by multiple giants and hellhounds, security personnel from Xe ensured that Rachel survived and Magnus was kept away from danger. During the bedlam, Magnus was separated from his bodyguards and was forced to flee into the city, where he was found by a satyr and brought to camp. Physical Appearance: Magnus Starkweather is 6'3", 245 pounds and built like an NFL linebacker, with broad shoulders, a thick body, ripped arms, a bull neck and powerful legs. He has a bit of a large belly, like many football players, but he's actually able to sprint quite well. Magnus has brown eyes, a cleft chin, a large nose and somewhat chunky facial features. His brown hair is often gelled so it's spiky. He likes to wear biker or military-style outfits. Personality: Magnus is a loud, outgoing, headstrong man. He likes being the centre of attention, though he would never get that attention by committing any type of criminal activity. In fact, Magnus has strong ideals of morality and does not hesitate to uphold them. On the flip side, he can be very hardheaded. His loud, fast-paced lifestyle makes him less sensitive to emotions and other people's feelings. Magnus also has an arrogant streak that comes and goes. He tends to think of himself as Mr. Big Shot and others as merely his equals, occasionally lower. He hates losing and will break rules to get something done in a way he believes is more practical and effective. Despite all of that though, Magnus can be a loyal friend and never backs down from doing the right thing in the end. Fatal Flaw: Pride. Magnus can get full of himself, and when he does, it's hard for him to admit his own faults or that his way is not the best way. Pets: None Talents: Magnus' control over lightning has become very powerful. The intensity of his bolts vary from knocking a person out to blowing a hole in a reinforced concrete wall. He can also sustain bursts of fork lightning that chain off conductive materials that they hit. On the other hand, Magnus' wind manipulation abilities are mediocre at best, and he has very little control over weather. He has also received extensive military training, being able to identify and use a wide variety of firearms, pilot helicopters and form tactically sound methods of combat. Magnus is a formidable hand-to-hand fighter and swordsman, able to fend off multiple opponents. His skill set is primarily martial in nature, and he does not have many notable talents that don't concern combat. Weapons: Magnus has a large stash of firearms, but most of them are back at his mansion in New York. His melee weapons are a pair of double-bladed hand axes that turn into keychains, and two tactical knives (one bronze, the other steel). Magnus also uses a large bronze shield from time to time. Other: When not at camp, Magnus operates as the costumed vigilante "Thunder Hawk." His costume is a US Army Combat Uniform painted with a lightning colour scheme, a military helmet, wraparound sunglasses and a black balaclava. Magnus' armour kit, consisting of both a Kevlar vest and bronze plates, can be worn underneath his costume or underneath normal clothing.

| "The Super Soldier" Name: Brandon Mathias Age/Birthday: 22. Born January 23. Gender: Male God Parent: Ares Mortal Parent: Sharon Mathias Years in Camp: 7 Brief History: Brandon Mathias was born in Calgary Alberta, after Ares met Sharon Mathias, a Canadian Army corporal. Sharon's frequent field duty made her neglect personal hygiene, and as a result, her body odour helped hide Brandon from monsters until age 15. Up until the day hellhounds attacked his home, Brandon had a reasonably good life, playing various sports and practicing martial arts. His athleticism, and his mother, helped him escape to Camp Half-Blood, and he is a real veteran of Cabin Five. At the age of 18, Brandon had the option of leaving camp to live his life, just as most demigods do, but despite his desire to join the Canadian Forces, he decided to stay behind, believing that a camp full of teenagers would need the guidance of an older, more experienced soldier in order to survive the imminent threats of the Titans. Physical Appearance: At 6'5", 230 pounds, Brandon Mathias is a powerfully built man. He has broad shoulders, brown hair, and dark blue eyes. His ripped arms, strong legs, six-pack abs and chiseled pectorals come from a lifetime of athleticism, discipline and just being a son of Ares. Brandon is very tan, and just like a proper soldier, he always stands ramrod straight, which makes his height even more apparent. His everyday camp attire consists of light armour under camouflage jackets and cargo pants with heavy combat boots. Personality: Like most sons of Ares, Brandon loves weapons. Since his mother is a soldier, he enjoys firearms and modern war machines far better than blades and chariots. He thinks that Camp Half-Blood should find a way to switch completely to guns loaded with celestial bronze, and begin to use modern vehicles in order to stand a better chance against the Titans. Brandon has a hot temper and can be stubborn. On the other hand, he is a very loyal, highly disciplined soldier, and he'll always stand up for his friends and what he believes in, not backing down from monsters, gods or Titans. Brandon dislikes the Hunters of Artemis for their views against men (with Thalia Grace being an exception), but he actually shares their views on love. After a crush on a mortal girl in high school failed to work out, Brandon developed the opinion that relationships are a major liability, which compliments his natural disdain towards romance. Unlike the majority of Ares children, he does not view war as anything glorious or gods forbid, fun. As the son of a soldier, he understands how serious the role of half-bloods really is, and does not get any bloodlust or enjoyment out of an actual battle. His one and only focus is getting the job done so his fellow demigods and mortals alike will be safe from harm. Fatal Flaw: Anger. Often, Brandon's temper can prevent him from seeing the big picture or acting fairly, and at these times, he is hard to talk down. Pets: None Talents: Brandon Mathias has been taught Muay Thai since age 6, with ample experience in karate and military combatives as well. He's even better with a melee weapon in his hands, able to hold his own against multiple opponents at once. His marksmanship can't compare to an Apollo kid or a Hunter of Artemis, but he's still a good shot with firearms and bows. Brandon's physical abilities rival that of professional athletes, and his strength is just about peak human. Furthermore, Brandon is prone to adrenaline rushes (the Blessing of Ares) that boost his physical abilities to superhuman levels for short periods. Finally, he is resistant to magic. Weapons: Brandon has experience with several types of firearms, but his primary melee weapon is a large saberstaff (two 3-foot swords joined at the hilt) that collapses into an aerosol can. Although difficult for beginners to use, it is a versatile weapon for facing multiple enemies and keeping them at bay. His combat kit also includes a bronze tomahawk, a military-style tactical knife, Greek fire grenades and a bronze entrenching tool (a collapsible spade which can double as a bludgeoning weapon). Brandon often employs a magic backpack to put his weapons and equipment in. Recently, Brandon has acquired a powerful set of magic armour, forged for him by the Hephaestus cabin after he paid them a hefty sum and agreed to do them a great deal of favours. In it's default form, it appears to be a simple, rugged analog watch, but when the watch face is tapped, it expands into a finely crafted Celestial bronze suit. The armour's main plates are virtually impervious to monster appendages, arrows and melee weapons, and resistant to acid. It's magic properties also enhance the strength, speed and stamina of the wearer, turning Brandon into a bona-fide super soldier. However, the armour is not invincible. The seams between the interlocking plates, designed to ensure the wearer's mobility, can be exploited by a well-placed strike, especially a dagger or a similarly thin penetrating weapon. Greek fire and acid can also melt the suit, although Greek fire tends to be more effective. Other: Brandon's personal vehicle is a black GMC C4500 pickup truck parked at camp.

| "The Lone Wolf" Name: Samuel Anders Age/Birthday: 17. Born October 31. Gender: Male God Parent: Morpheus Mortal Parent: Carmen Anders Years in Camp: 4 Brief History: Samuel Anders was born on Halloween in Detroit, Michigan. His mother, Carmen Anders was emotionally devastated by the departure of Morpheus, but she tried to hide it from her son in the form of frequent "business trips" and drinking. Left on his own for most of his life with a not-so-responsible babysitter, Sam often took long excursions around his suburb. There he learned street smarts by himself, climbing around playgrounds to increase physical capability, getting into scuffles with other kids and experimenting with minor theft. Finally at age 13, the monsters came for him, breaking into his house and forcing him to run. Sam's experiences came in very handy, allowing him to fend off monsters in unorthodox ways. He hitch-hiked towards New York and braved the mean streets of every city he arrived at. Strange, conflicting dreams tormented Sam every step of the way, causing him to question his own identity and granting him mysterious new abilities. Finally he was found by a satyr in Boston and brought to Camp Half-Blood, but so far nobody has been able to do anything about his memory. Physical Appearance: Samuel Anders is a lanky, muscular guy. He stands at 6'1", weighs 174 pounds and sports a chiseled, athletic physique. He has dark hair, pale skin and brown eyes that have been described as "an intense, questioning pit" by some. Indeed, his stare can be very unnerving, and he constantly seems to be challenging the people around him. Sam prefers clothes that remind him of the street, such as beaten-up old jackets and tattered jeans. He hardly wears the Camp Half-Blood t-shirt due to it' orange shade, preferring darker colours. His posture is excellent, and he never slouches at all. Personality: Years on the mean side of society have shaped Samuel into a tough, streetwise young man. He does not take nonsense from anyone and is very grounded, always looking for the most practical and straightforward approach. Due to his nightmares, Sam has hardened into an emotional rock, laconic and dark. He doesn't talk too much, and when he does it's in a mutter, not a clear voice. Sam is also completely unsympathetic, somewhat morbid, rather pessimistic and occasionally bipolar. Specific things said under specific circumstances will instantly send him into a rage, during which he is constantly yelling and difficult to reason with. Some people may think that Sam has the potential to betray the gods. However, two things this young man does have are willpower and objectivity. He is not evil, but he can be vigilante. Fatal Flaw: Past experiences and abuse have caused Samuel to become dark, accepting that life isn't fair and fully willing to have said unfairness happen to others. Sam is calculating to the point where the tough calls aren't so tough for him. Where Percy Jackson would destroy the world to save a friend, Sam would sacrifice millions for the so-called 'greater good.' Pets: None. Talents: Samuel Anders is what teenagers would call a ninja. He has incredible athleticism and is highly skilled in parkour. Samuel can run, jump, vault and swing his way through most suburban areas and obstacle courses with ease. Plus, he is a deadly street fighter, able to take down multiple assailants, and skilled enough with weapons to teach himself how to use twin hooks, exotic tools originally wielded by the Shaolin monks of China. In general, he is not to be trifled with, even if there are five of you and one of him. As a son of Morpheus, Samuel is able to induce nightmares in sleeping people, cause them to become fatigued and even incite fear in those who are awake. Weapons: Samuel wields a pair of bronze twin hooks, extremely versatile weapons capable of slashing, stabbing, blocking and hooking. They shrink into small keychain versions of themselves when not in use. He also has a number of daggers and a 7-foot length of bronze chain with a grappling hook at one end. Other: Samuel's motorcycle is a 2008 Honda Fireblade, acquired through a mix of legal and illegal means.

| "The Generalist" Name: Malcolm Reed Age/Birthday: 23. Born August 9. Gender: Male God Parent: Athena Mortal Parent: Richard Reed Years in Camp: 13 Brief History: Malcolm Reed hails from Glasgow, Scotland, when Athena met military historian Richard Reed. Richard was a wealthy man, and his style of fathering was very academic. Malcolm was well on his way to becoming a bookworm historian just like his father, until the family mansion was besieged by monsters on the night of his tenth birthday. Hellhounds and dracanae overwhelmed the Reed family's private security, but not before Richard snuck Malcolm out of the house under the protection of his butler and one guard. The latter's hygiene problem kept Malcolm hidden from pursuing monsters until they reached Glasgow Airport. There, the butler and the guard were ambushed by an empousa, but Malcolm was found by a disguised satyr and brought stateside to Camp Half-Blood, where he has stayed ever since, leaving his old life behind. Although easily capable of getting a well-paying job in the mortal world, Malcolm has elected to stay at camp for at least the next few years, teaching and guiding the younger demigods. Physical Appearance: Malcolm stands 6'0" tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has slick, longish blond hair, gray eyes that do not betray any emotion and a decent-looking face. He is built like a runner, limber and moderately muscular. Malcolm is almost always wearing semi-formal clothing, such as a dress shirt and slacks, unless on a quest or in battle. Personality: Malcolm Reed is a know-it-all. He's loved research and learning new things since early childhood, and upon coming to Camp Half-Blood has amassed a broad general knowledge of anything from dinosaurs to airplanes to geography. If he was raised by his father his whole life, Malcolm would surely have become a pure academic, but being at Camp Half-Blood has shaped him into an athletic, practical man as well. Malcolm is brutally honest and sports a perpetually cool demeanor--he hardly ever gets emotional or angry. While this helps him remain calm in stressful situations, it also makes him much less sensitive to the feelings of others. In short, although Malcolm is okay with social situations, he is not really a 'people' person. Fatal Flaw: Hubris. Like many children of Athena, Malcolm sometimes believes he is capable of improbable things. His normally rational and logical thought processes can be skewed by deadly pride on occasion. Pets: None. Talents: Malcolm Reed is a top-notch strategist, capable of analyzing any given combat scenario and producing a solid plan of action. These skills also make him exceptional at chess, checkers, backgammon and similar strategy games. Malcolm is also a skilled judo practitioner, experienced with melee weapons (especially polearms), a well-rounded athlete and decent with missile weapons. Weapons: Malcolm has a chess knight that turns into a bronze halberd, a king that produces a short sword, and a rook that doubles as a shield. These chess pieces usually hang from a keychain that never leaves his person. Other: Malcolm drives an Audi A6 whenever he needs to leave camp. | |

| "The Friendly Neighbourhood Sniper" Birth CertificateName: Griffin Reinhart Nicknames: Hotshot Age: 16 Place of Birth: Abbotsford, British Columbia Godly Parent: Apollo Mortal Family: Amy Reinhart (mother), Jennifer Reinhart (half-sister), Max Reinhart (cousin, half-blood, claimed) Claimed or Unclaimed: Claimed Camp LifeYear-Round or Summer Camper: Year-Round, although he plans to become a summer camper once he starts going to college in a few months. Years at Camp: 4 History: Born in the city of Abbotsford in Western Canada, Griffin Reinhart was born as a result of a union between Apollo and Amy Reinhart, a high school teacher and part-time musician. At the time of his birth, his mother already had a 4-year old daughter, Jennifer, from a previous failed marriage, and although the relationship between the two half-siblings was civil, they never grew close. Griffin enjoyed a fairly fortunate childhood--his mother's two jobs brought in a decent income, allowing the family to live in a townhouse and enjoy various extracurricular activities, which for Griffin included archery and ice hockey. When he was 12 years old, his family vacationed in New York City, and this was when monsters finally entered Griffin's life. The young boy had gotten separated from his mother and half-sister in a shopping mall when he was attacked by a number of dracanae. Luckily, a satyr from Camp Half-Blood was near and rescued him, bringing him to the camp. After learning the truth about Greek mythology, Griffin was faced with a difficult choice. He missed his home and his mother, and wanted nothing more than to return to them. However, he also feared being attacked by monsters in the outside world, or even worse, endangering his family with his presence. Griffin eventually decided to stay at camp year-round, although he often becomes homesick. Nevertheless, he has managed to settle in, and is a fairly dependable member of Cabin 7. He spends a lot of time honing his archery and combat skills to take his mind off Abbotsford and his mother, Amy. The PsychePersonality: Griffin is a fairly sentimental guy, which is why he faced a struggle to overcome homesickness for many months after arriving at camp. He gets attached to places and friendly people easily, and finds it hard to adapt when aspects of his life change. Fortunately, he is talkative and tries to be friendly himself, which makes him generally well-liked, capable of avoiding grudges and rivalries. As a son of Apollo, Griffin enjoys archery and any other type of marksmanship, and is a natural athlete who enjoys being outdoors. He also has a diverse taste in music, everything from hard rock to orchestral scores from movie soundtracks. However, Griffin is not romantic or artistic, preferring practicality and straightforwardness, which occasionally causes him to be lacking in the tact department. Fatal Flaw: In terms of morality, Griffin sees the world in black and white. In his mind, something is either acceptable, or it is not, and he will stubbornly defend his opinion either way. Thanks in part to his youth, it is hard for Griffin to accept that many things fall into a gray moral area, which makes him closed-minded at times. Likes: Marksmanship activities, sports (especially ice hockey), being outdoors and a wide variety of music. Dislikes: Art, romance, mathematics, unfriendly people and changes in his life. The Appearance Physical Description: Griffin is an average-sized teen, standing at 5'9" and weighing 170 pounds. He has a toned, athletic build that can be considered attractive by female standards. He has hazel eyes, and his brown hair is always kept in an orderly crew cut. Griffin sports a bit of a narrow face and sharp, hawk-like features. He's not remarkably handsome, but can sometimes be noticed by girls for his appearance. He is usually quite tan, even if he hasn't been in the sun for a while, and sports good posture standing up. Dressing Style: As he touts practicality, Griffin is usually seen in a variety of T-shirts, jeans, hoodies and shorts, preferring cargo pants in particular for their comfort and number of pockets. He enjoys wearing sunglasses. The Defensive SystemDemigod Talents: Griffin is very accurate, whether he's using a bow or firing a wrist shot with a hockey stick. He is also respectably skilled at throwing knives and tomahawks, even though he doesn't have a great deal of experience with them. His close combat skills are solid, but not exceptional, as he prefers to fight from a distance. As a son of Apollo, Griffin is trained as a healer, and also has some ability to manipulate light, although this power is currently quite weak and will take years of practice to hone. Weapons: Griffin's weapon of choice is a custom-built repeating crossbow with a magazine of 10 bolts. He prefers it to a typical longbow for it's greater power, range and rapid-firing ability. He possesses a number of specialty arrows, including smoke, sonic and incendiary bolts. For close quarters, Griffin wields a standard 3-foot celestial bronze sword and carries no less than 5 daggers on his person at a time. Pets: None

| "The Roguish Renegade" Birth CertificateName: Max Reinhart Nicknames: M.R Age: 18 Place of Birth: San Bernardino, California Godly Parent: Hermes Mortal Family: Lisa Reinhart (mother), Jennifer Reinhart (cousin), Griffin Reinhart (cousin, half-blood, claimed) Claimed or Unclaimed: Claimed Camp LifeYear-Round or Summer Camper: Year-Round, although he likes to come and go as he pleases. Years at Camp: 2 History: Max Reinhart was born in the suburbs of San Bernardino, California, the only child between Hermes and Lisa Reinhart. A true jack of all trades, Lisa had been a mechanic, a waitress, a taxi driver, a library clerk and a bike courier at different points in her life. Unfortunately, her various jobs tended to have one thing in common: a small paycheck, which was part of the reason she sought new employment so often. Due to these less-than-optimal living conditions, Max did not have many luxuries in his childhood, and often resented his Canadian cousin Griffin for being so much better off. Being forced to entertain himself with what was available, Max began spending a lot of time on the streets, playing random sports with random kids and exploring the neighbourhood thoroughly. He was often found hanging out in malls, visiting all the stores and wishing he was able to buy something. Due to her hectic, unpredictable work schedule, Lisa never did spend much quality time at home with Max, which only further fueled his desire for a new life. His wish was finally granted at the age of 13, when he was attacked in an alleyway by dracanae. Managing to escape thanks to his natural resourcefulness and athleticism, Max went on the run, and would never return home. He learned the art of petty theft, and stealing soon became his only way of survival. However, this was not sustainable, and he was arrested 7 months into his new lifestyle. Juvenile correction helped Max slightly, but he still felt maligned by the world and continued to long for a real home. On his 16th birthday, Max finally found that home: Camp Half-Blood. Shortly after being released from juvie, he was found by a satyr, who accompanied him on a Greyhound bus trip across the States to New York, in the process telling him about the Greek gods. Max was lucky enough to be claimed by Hermes on the day he arrived at camp, and since then, he has settled in well. The PsychePersonality: Due to his unfortunate childhood, Max believes strongly in living life to the fullest. He cherishes Camp Half-Blood dearly and treats every day there as if it were his last. He is very outgoing and enthusiastic, taking part in nearly all aspects of camp life, such as joining the Apollo cabin in campfire songs, caring for the pegasi and helping to organize Capture the Flag games. Max is also quite charming--although not a total flirt, his way with words and his overall warm demeanor tends to be popular with girls. Having said that, Max is no goody two-shoes. He is extremely mischievous, always thinking of ways to prank his fellow campers and laugh at their expense. His disregard for authority is fairly significant, and he enjoys the thrill of breaking the rules. He easily loses sight of the fact that one day, demigods will be counted on to save the world from the Titans, and treats combat practice like a game. He does love games, especially games of chance, and likes to rely on his own luck to see him through a tight spot. Max's flaws are fairly standard for a street urchin and a child of Hermes, and they are frequently covered up by his likable nature. Fatal Flaw: Max's greatest flaw is his materialism. Because he did not have very much as a kid, he believes that wealth and material possessions are the most important things in life, and that it is impossible for him to be happy without them. Likes: Sports, games of chance, pranks, money, cool possessions, trendy clothing. Dislikes: Rules, authority figures, serious people, school. The AppearancePhysical Description: Max is definitely a handsome dude, and he knows it. He looks older than he is, with his longish brown hair and his beard. His soft hazel eyes constantly have a mischievous twinkle to them, and his default facial expression is a lopsided grin, which is endearing, but at the same time warns people to keep their hands on their wallets. These devilish good looks are complemented well by his physique. Max is 5'11" tall and weighs 168 pounds, possessing the lean, muscular build of a runner. He tends to slouch, which downplays his height a little, and his pale skin tans easily. Dressing Style: Max likes to look good, which means he usually wears brand name jeans, leather jackets, band T-shirts, Converse shoes and hoodies. If it's trending, he'll go for it. Sometimes, he'll also adopt the semi-formal look, wearing a dress shirt or plad button-up shirt to go with his jeans. He tends to dislike more plain types of clothing, such as cargo pants or unmarked long sleeves. The Defensive SystemDemigod Talents: Just like his father and mother, Max is a jack of all trades. He is quite athletic, but does not specialize in any one area or sport. He is equally good an archer as he is a close-range fighter, and prefers close combat simply because it is 'more interesting'. He's remarkably intelligent for a guy who dislikes school and has never received a good education, and he is decent making or repairing things with his hands. Max can even sing a little, and is fairly good at riding a horse or pegasus. Weapons: Max constantly carries a pair of large red novelty die and 6 smaller, more average die, but they are not just to play with. As soon as he rubs on him, the large die will morph into a couple of 2-foot bronze swords, and the smaller die will turn into daggers. All of these are magicked to return to him from up to 50 feet away whenever he utters the word 'gambit' and they are not on his person. Pets: An iguana named Remy.
