Not a lot had happened as of late, apart from Christmas. But Christmas was nothing, and Christmas was gone. He had to really think about everything else now. And by everything else, he meant his entertainment. A battle was brewing, but instead of focusing on that, Zave was sure that he would probably spend the days like he always did; bored to death. That’s why he had decided to have a little fun, at other people’s expense. It was as if he was a nasty guy, he really wasn’t but he needed to satisfy his mischievous nature and ADHD. That’s why the son of Hades was perched on a thick branch at the top of a high tree, his Vans and denim jeans swinging back and forth as he waited, holding the end of a water balloon in his hand.
He had to admit, the wait was long and it was cold at the top of the tree. He was wearing a long sleeve button up shirt beneath a black leather bomber jacket, looking more formal than he should probably. Certainly more formal to be climbing trees. On his back was his rucksack, the top of his flame skateboard poking out between the two tightly-shut zippers. He was wondering if this was really worth battling hyperthermia, and it seemed like no one was even coming. Plus they would be very cold if the water dropped on the top of their head and Zave would need a way to climb down. He hoped they would be distracted enough to give him an opportunity to half-leap, half-clamber down and sprint away.
Just as he was about to call it a day and leave, he heard the undoubtable sounds of someone approaching. Staying silent, he waiting until he could see a figure right below him, hesitating slightly as he mind asked him if he was doing the right thing. They would probably be in shock, and pissed off. It was a very nice thing to do, he knew, but he really had nothing else to do. He hadn’t seen many of his friends lately, which meant that he had to entertain himself. “Bombs away.” He muttered beneath releasing the balloon.

kim raziel swift daughter of hyperion
“
Raziel had yet to know why she suddenly developed an interest in taking random forest strolls. Maybe it was because of how hostile most people had suddenly become towards her. The forest had less people wandering around, not to mention that it had a lot more monsters. Now those creatures were still hostile, but at least it wasn't against camp rules to maim and kill them. Which, by the way, had recently become one of Raz's new favorite hobbies. But when a poisoned stinger nearly cut her arm, Raziel decided to call it quits and come back another day - and by then, hopefully reduce to ashes whatever remained of the rest of the beast's friends. So, tired and wanting nothing more than a good nap, Raziel went back the way she came. And unfortunately, it involved taking a path lined with lofty trees. Raz hadn't thought too much about it at first. She had nothing against trees.
Perhaps it was the sudden shift in the air around her that made her stop. Or it could've been just her instincts kicking in. Nevertheless she did, fingers already reaching for her bracelet in case something inhuman decided to jump at her. For all she knew, some orphaned scorpion thing could be seeking revenge for its parents' deaths. But then, reaching for her weapon wasn't necessary, because she couldn't have shot in a short span of time a freaking water balloon aimed at her head. And by the time she realized it...
Splash!
...it was already too late.
So here was a frozen-in-shock sopping wet eighteen-year-old girl. Her slightly ripped and singed grey cardigan stuck to her skin like glue, her tights and boots feeling heavier than she ever recalled them being. Drops of water raced down her flushed cheeks as she raked the damp brown locks off her face. And when the winter breeze blew, she shivered uncontrollably because it was that. Damn. Cold.
If she weren't in a daze, Raziel could've blurted out the foulest curse word she knew. Still that didn't prevent her from letting loose a high-pitched shriek as icicles seemed to pierce her skin everywhere the wind and water touched that she very nearly sank to the snow-covered ground. It could've been that painful for any normal person - even if it was freaking January - but the demititan had an extremely low tolerance for low temperatures. For gods' sakes, she was a girl who played with fire. Wait. Fire.
In a fit of desperation, weak flames spouted from Raziel's trembling hands. Fire slowly licked at her open palms and she almost breathed out a sigh of relief at the sensation. However, good things could only come to an end, as further proven when the fire crackled weaker and weaker until what was only left was a trail of grey smoke lazily floating about the wintry air. Great, now she regretted using so much fire earlier on during her monster raid.
Even with the water and the cold impairing most of her thinking ability, Raziel still remembered that she had yet to discover just how she ended up in such a situation. After all, trees do not suddenly develop a habit of springing water balloons at unsuspecting persons. It was as if time had slowed down when she looked up, only to zero in on a boy perched on the branch a few feet above. Though he seemed to be too well-dressed for someone who had the audacity to climb trees and drop water balloons, there was no mistaking the boy with a mass of curly brown hair Raziel, unluckily for him, recognized all too well. Her eyes flashed dangerously and without wasting a second longer, she yelled as loud as her hoarse voice could allow it.
"X-Xavier Wintersssson, you f-freaking ass!"
Well, that could've sounded a lot better had she not been shivering like crazy for the past full minute.
ooc: not totally back to normal activity, but it'd be a waste to do nothing about the muse i suddenly had. so now here i am dumping a wall of text on you xD

Xavier couldn’t help but let out a series of giggles when the water ballon feel right down on the head of the girl below, covering her in the mercilessly cold liquid. He had to grab the root of the branch beneath him to stop him toppling off the edge as he laughed, knowing that it was mean but, after all, a sixteen year old had to get his kicks didn’t he? Some kids turned to drugs, others to alcohol. Zave? He just picked on the innocent public. It was better than losing your way and becoming just another intoxicated teenager, he guessed. So here he was, dressed better than he probably should’ve been (Christmas clothes, after all), stuck up in the tree laughing at the girl below him.
Getting a hold over himself, Xavier guessed that it would be time to try and clamber down and sprint for safety. He peeked over the edge when he heard a yell, immediately knowing who it was. Raziel. Being a son of the God of the Underworld, it mean that people around camp normally knew who you were, seeing as there wasn’t many of them. but, on the other hand, being a Demititan meant that people normally knew who you were also. Most campers didn’t usually like the get on the wrong side of either of them. in general, even if Xavier truthfully didn’t harness the power to hurt a fly.
"Oh, why thank you," He called down, shifting the stake board strap on both arms for when he was ready to get down, which was around now if he wanted to make it away before Raziel could get her own back. The son of Hades really didn't fancy his chances against her. "I do try." He peered over the edge again, this time checking to see how far down the ground was and evaluate any possible injuries. Although it would be quicker to jump, he had to climb down seeing as he would most likely break a bone of some sort. That's when he started to get down, placing both hands on the bark his feet in an indent. Quickly, wanting to get down, he tried to get his food further below yet instead slipped, his hands slicing down the rough bark. He cursed, finding another high branch to perch on and expecting the gash on the palm of his hand which was quickly leaking blood “A little help would be nice.” He called down to Raziel sarcastically, not really wanting her help seeing as she would probably beat him to a pulp.

razieldaughter of hyperion
Raziel's teeth were still chattering when she heard the boy's remarks in-between laughs (the nerve of him!). She eyed him warily as he tried to climb down. Personally, she wanted to set the tree on fire just to see how much he would like it, but it was such a shame that Xavier had, in a sense, put her fire out. Thankfully, the boy cut his hand in an effort to climb down, the sight giving her a small elation. Raziel allowed a small smirk to form on her quivering lips. That short moment of pleasure wasn't enough to completely satisfy her thirst for revenge though.
"I c-can help you get d-down all right." Her attempt at a sweet sing-song tone was passable, perhaps even more so if she would just stop shaking. She considered him thoughtfully. "T-that branch should t-take about half a m-minute to burn. Ever tried skydiving?"
As she spoke, she once again tried to will her hand to catch fire to emphasize her point. Still nothing. Not even a small flame. Raziel mentally cursed. It looked like she was blurting out empty words now, but Xavier didn't need to know that.
