Rachael walks into the messhall, and looks around. When she'd heard about this "Sadie Hawkins Dance" she was estatic. She loved dances, and dancing. The whole Sadie Hawkins part, made it even better. Now she has an excuse to dance with a whole bunch of random boys. Oh man this night should be a lot of fun. Smiling Rachael looks around, so far she didn't see anyone to dance with. It seemed that most of the people here, are couples. Oh well, she'd find someone soon enough.

Grinning Rachael walks over to a refreshment table, and looks around. Smiling she picks up a plastic cup, and fills it with bunch. Quickly she looks around to see if anyone is wathing. Noticing no one, she reaches into her purse and pulls out a small flask, and pures a bit of its contence into her glass. Closing the flask, she slips it back into her purse. Smiling Rachael walks over to a pilar, and leans against it.

She smiles, and holds her glass up to her lips. She takes a long sip, and then brings the glass down to her side. This dance is going to be a blast, thats no doubt. She then folds her arms, losesly across her chest, careful not to spill her punch. That would not be fun. Rachael then takes the time to look down at her outfit. She's wearing a short party dress, and a pair of very high heels. It's perfect.

The Point of No Return

What was he even doing here? Toby looked around the sea of campers nervously, watching the campers making out, dirty dancing, laughing and drinking most likely spiked punch. This was definitely not the place for him. So what made him come. Toby kept asking himself that. He hated crowds, hated these activities, and yet he was here. He removed the wand from his back pocket, setting it carefully on a table before pulling out a chair and sitting in it, putting his head on his hands with boredom. He had even come without a date, not that he figured anyone would ask him to dance here either. He picked up the black wand and touched the floral decoration in the middle of the table, and the pink rose was interrupted in color. What seemed to be a black drop of ink spread from where the wand touched the rose all throughout the flower, until it was now completely black.

Paying this simple magic no mind, he set down the wand again, leaning back in his chair. He had put on a black dress shirt and black slacks with a dull purple tie. He tried to put something together that looked good, and he didn't really own a tux, so this was his only other option. It wasn't that he didn't look good, it was that no one told him he looked good so he assumed he looked less than decent. Sighing, Toby decided, since there was nothing here that he actually liked, he would just go back to his cabin and sneak out later at night into the woods when most people are back from the dance.

Rachael looks around and sighs. Ugh still no one to dance with. This was not going the way she wanted it to go. Sighing she sets her punch down on a table and walks away from it. Maybe she should just leave? At least that wouldn't be embarassing. That's when she notices the boy. Up a head, sitting alone at a table was a boy. A cute boy, to be extact. He had dark brown hair, and he's wearing a black shirt and slacks, with a purple tie. Rachael smiles and fixes her hair. She then straightens her dress. Smiling she walks over to the boy.

She then sits down across from him, and smiles. "Hey cutie. I'm Rachael. What's your name?"she asks him. She then leans forward, and waits for him to answer. "Hey, do you want to dance with me?"she asks him. Hopefully he'd say yes. If he didn't say yes, she'd find a way to make him say yes. But then that would take some time. It would be so much easier if he said yes.

Rachael then leans back, still smiling at him. She then fixes her hair, and twirls a strand around her finger. She looks around and grabs a mini candy cane off the table. Unwrapping it, she tosses the wrapper on the ground. Rachael then sticks the cane in her mouth, and sucks on it. She sits there still waiting on his answer.

The Point of No Return

Toby pushed his chair back and stuck his wand in his back pocket again as he stood, but was stopped almost immediately. A girl with blond hair and a curiously short dress stood in front of him, and Toby wasn't sure but...did she just ask him to dance? "I-I'm Toby," he spluttered, looking around for an exit. Now that he had made up his mind to leave, he really didn't mind not getting asked as a date. He looked down at her, even though he wasn't really tall himself, she seemed to be a bit shorter.

Toby gulped, running a hand through his hair to keep it spiked up really quickly before opening his mouth to talk. His face felt heated and he prayed silently and quickly to Aphrodite not to do this to him now. He then slowly shook his head. "I'm sorry, Rachael, I was uh, I was just about to leave. It's getting sort of late," he said, glancing out the exit, seeing that the sun probably had just went down over the hills. Lame excuse, he knew he probably wasn't going to get out of this so easily. "Sorry," he repeated again, dumbly.

Rachael frowns when she hears what he says. She then turns to look at him. Great, just great. Maybe coming was just a huge mistake. Ugh, this just sucks. "Oh. Okay, that's fine"she says softly, sounding well dissapointed. "Don't be sorry. It doesn't matter" she says softly She should just leave, like now. Slowly Rachael stands up and grabs her purse.

"It's been nice meeting you Toby. Maybe I'll see you around sometime?" she says to him. Rachael then sighs and looks around, this sucks. "Well, I guess I'll be going now"she says softly. Rachael then turns and starts to leave the mess hall.

On her way out, Rachael stops by the refreshments table. Smiling she takes the time to look at all of the food. Grabbing a napkin, she reaches over and grabs a cupcake. She then pulls off the wrapper and throws it away. She takes a bite of the cupcake. Then Rachael begins walking away, still eating her cupcake.
