| Hello, and welcome to the Adoption Centre for Wayward Ozians. My name is Ouroboros, but please do address me as Oz. Nothing more, nothing less.
Any character that I put in this centre is up for adoption. Considering the amount of detail that I put into these characters, I would ask for Drachmas... But let's be honest here, I don't even use my own Drachmas, so I've really no use for yours.
After adopting one of my characters, you may get them in into fights, you may put them through wars, you may even have them killed; once they leave my hands, I do not consider them mine. That being said, however, I do expect that you will role-play well with these characters. "role-play well" meaning, mostly sticking to the character's personality and only making minor changes to the character herself/himself.
- Changing the sexual orientation of the character is a no-no. You should assume that all of my characters are bisexual unless their orientation is stated in their biography, in which case you should really try to stick to that sexual preference. That means, kiddies, if you don't approve of LGBT characters or relationships, you should NOT adopt a gay character.
- If the character has any scars or blemishes, please refrain from changing those, as well. You may add scars or imperfections, but do not take them away.
That is all. Please enjoy your time browsing through my list of characters up for adoption, and I hope you'll check back every few months to see if new characters have arrived. :)
If you are thinking of adopting, please simply comment on this thread with the name of the character you are interested in.
CHARACTER(S) FOR ADOPTIONName: Wang, Xiao Yan (Western Order: First = Xiao Yan, Last = Wnag) Godly Parent: Morpheus, God of Sleep and Dreams Character Profile:
- Spoiler:
Name: Wang Xiao Yan (Chinese style: first name – Xiao Yan. Last name – Wang)
Age/Birthday: 14, July 1st
Gender: Female
God Parent: Morpheus, God of Sleep and Dreams
Claimed: Yes
Mortal Family: Wang Jia Long (twin brother), Tai Zi Feng (Mother), Tai An Yao (Step-Father)
Years in Camp: 4
Brief History: Zi Feng met Morpheus while she studied Ancient History in Greece. After spending a while with each other, they finally decided to have sex. It wasn’t love; more like lust. Zi Feng was impregnated, and Morpheus left. After that, Zi Feng moved back to Hong Kong, China and met An Yao. They eventually got married, and the twins were born. An Yao, being infertile, was just happy with having children to raise; even if they weren’t his. The two grew up in a pampered, rich lifestyle, but were taught very clearly right from wrong. Unfortunately, being children of the god of sleep and dreams, they often slept in their free time and would wake up screaming from the horrific visions they were sent. An Yao and Zi Feng didn’t know what to do about it; An Yao sent for the best psychiatrists in China, but nothing could stop the nightmares from coming except forced sleep with medicine. Eventually, that didn’t even help. And then their powers showed themselves. Xiao Yan could touch someone and will them to fall asleep, and then implant dreams into their mind. Her twin was stronger. See, Jia Long would fall asleep during class. When the teacher got mad at him and he woke up, he would meet the teacher’s eyes and they would collapse, comatose. With just one glance into his eyes, he could force someone to fall into a coma, implant an idea into their mind, and let the dream do the work. When An Yao and Zi Feng discovered their abilities, they moved from China to America. They fit right in at New York’s China Town, and life went on. Then, at their school one day, both twins fell asleep during science and were given detention by the teacher. At the detention, the teacher turned into a monster and attacked the two children. They eventually subdued it, but the damage was done – Jia Long was bleeding heavily from his side. The Apollo camper who found them said that he could fix it if they got to camp ASAP, and they left quickly. He didn’t even make it to the top of the hill when he bled out. Xiao Yan was claimed when she put an Ares kid in a coma for speaking ill of her brother.
Physical Appearance: Xiao Yan had silky black hair that falls straight to just below her shoulders. Her eyes are oriental and a dark chocolate brown colour normally, but when she uses her powers they glow violet. Her skin is tan (think Asian-tan). She weighs around 46kg/101.41lbs, and she’s 155cm/5’1” tall. She can be seen in any season wearing an oversized black hoodie with sleeves that cover her hands but not her fingers, white shorts with black leggings under them, and Dank 151s.
Personality: Xiao Yan is quiet and reserved, mostly keeping to herself. She’s horribly antisocial in this sense; with a few close friends and her siblings being the only ones in her life. She sleeps a lot – she'll sleep in class, during meetings, at sports games, and even on the battlefield. Many people think that she’s not all there, often zoning out and daydreaming about only the Gods-know-what. Whenever she isn't asleep she’s in a daze, half-awake at best. She’s actually very smart, despite popular belief; her parents are to thank for that. She likes to read Greek mythology as well as Chinese mythology, and is unusually curious about some subjects. She could point out a flaw in a plan that would otherwise be overlooked, and then give just about a million reasons why it would cause problems. She loves to read manhua (Chinese comics) and stargaze at night, and can often be seen sitting on Half-Blood Hill at night before curfew. She likes to sing, and her guilty pleasure is Country music. Don’t ask; she doesn't understand why either. The Band Perry is her favourite; no one else works. She spends time with the Apollo kids because of this, even though they are day-goers and she is more of a night person. She likes to cook, and even though she’s not the best at American dishes she’s amazing at making Chinese food. She’s rather blunt, and she wants to understand everything she encounters. A calculating person; she’s never impulsive or anything like that. Still, she’s awfully lazy, and once again sleeps for most of the day. She’s a bit hypocritical, being disorganized sometimes and OCD others. She thinks that it is Jia Long’s personality – he sort-of lives with her in her mind. Others think that she’s bi-polar, but she knows that it’s actually him. She wouldn't be able to use his powers if it wasn't; she never could before. Because her brother lives in her body, he lets her use his powers, and she has a bit of an advantage in battle… when she isn't sleeping herself, of course. He, then, gets access to the body as long as he doesn't do anything to injure it or tarnish her reputation. He usually spends his time in the arena, teaching his sister new fighting techniques. They’re both very similar in personality, and most people can’t tell them apart. Anyway, Xiao Yan wouldn't abandon her friends in a tight spot, unless staying would result in more deaths than leaving would. But she will always stick up for them. No question.
Fatal Flaw: She’s extremely laid back and lazy.
Pets: Two cats. Heracles and Jei.
Talents: Her aforementioned powers; she can sing fairly well, but not like Apollo's children.
Weapons: Her powers. That’s about it. If she needs, she can use a bow and arrow or throwing knives.
Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round
Other: I've said this before, but her twin is living inside her head. *Whistles* Selling for Drachmas?: No. | |
