Terry tucked one end of the jar under his arm and felt around the top of the jar, searching for the ridges of the screw on cap. "Well... maybe I'm just always nervous!" Terry exclaimed, struggling to open the jar with one hand.
Out of nowhere, no footsteps to introduce her, another girl appeared beside him. In shock, Terry lost grip of the jar, which slipped out from under his arm and crashed onto the ground, shattering glass and ointment all over the floor.
"Uhhhmmm, at least it's open..." he trailed off, feeling stupid. He squatted, his head bent forward, hiding his embarrassment, and lightly brushed his hand over the glassy mess, scooping up a small amount of the salve and applying it to his burned hand.

The guy dropped a jar he held shakingly, "I won't bite" I said giggling. I bent over and picked a few pieces of Glass up.

Still squatting, Terry was unsure of what to do about the mess in front of him. It would be impolite not to clean it up, but, considering his... shall we say abilities, it would be dangerous as well.
"Ummm... I didn't think you would..." Terry mumbled, replying to the newcomer girl, still wondering about what he should do with the glassy mess scattered on the infirmary floor, "That is, I didn't think you'd bite."
The girl who had introduced herself as Roxanne seemed frustrated by his clumsiness. After announcing that guys were dumb, she marched out of the room. Terry turned his head around, looking at the spot where she had once stood. "That wasn't too polite..."

Terry stood up, and started pushing the mess together with his feet, unwilling to take a chance with his hands. "Terry Veillance, my dad's umm... He's Apollo. But! Err that doesn't mean I'm good at that archery, healing, poetry stuff..."

I nodded, "Yea, My friend Arron is a son of Apollo, bad at archery, he's heats up like a mini sun." By now I had noticed his eyes, they were sad yet pretty. a silvery blue white. "I'm still working on my shadow travel, it's funny, my dog can shadow travel and I can't.

"Arron? I haven't met him, I think," Terry said as his hair fell over his face once again, "I dunno... if I heard him, maybe I'd get it." He continued kicking the glass shards around a bit, "Good luck with that shadow travel stuff umm... how does that even work?"

"I'm not sure, trying to figure that out, I've gotten' to where I can glide over shadows like ice, it's quicker, but not quite to were I'm in them." It's very fun though" I had gotten all of the stuff of the ground.

I was shocked,such a powerful gift. "Thats cool, though I wouldn't want a gift so strong." I smiled and thought about his eyes. "is that why you can't see?" I asked, straight forward. But not rude, but questioning.

"H-hunh?" Terry stared wide-eyed in Colby's direction, shocked by her forwardness, "Umm... No, I'm blind 'cause I was born blind..."
He pushed his hair asside once again, biting his lip, unsure of what to say, "My, uh, future thing, it's not that powerful. It's mostly really... boring stuff... and it's tiring, and it's not like your can control it and umm it's kind of..." He trailed off, realizing he was babbling, but not really saying anything.

"Scared? Hahaha, who's scared?" Terry laughed nervously. The last thing he wanted was for some girl's first impression of him to be a coward, "Maybe I'm just weird, right? Ummm... yeah. Anyway, uhhh, it's not like I see everything, I ain't a god, y'know? Just like... some stuff, like what's for lunch or maybe who's gonna get claimed. I dunno."

"Oh... I had a burn, but I got some ointment for it, so I'm okay," Terry responded to the new voice, once again female. Why was it (Terry wondered) that every new person he seemed to meet was a girl? He probably wasn't all that good looking, so it couldn't be that.
"I'm... okay. I mean, I'm used to it. Being nervous, that is."
