Brief History: Rafael "Rafa" Carasquillo grew up in a small one bedroom apartment in Center City, Philadelphia with his father, Gerardo, an immigrant from Costa Rica. Gerardo is a car mechanic and frequently after work drinks himself to sleep. The only times he would speak to his son was when he was drunk and often railed against the government, taxes in general, and Rafael's mother for leaving Rafael with Gerardo. Needless to say, the two are not on the best of terms. Rafael has eight other half siblings on his father side, ranging from ages thirty nine to twelve. Rafael speaks to none of them, as does his father. Rafael took up street art, or graffiti, as a hobby when he was twelve. His tagging skills grew with time and had gotten him into trouble with the law numerous amounts of time. Rafael learned how to talk himself out of trouble to the point where he had managed to not get kicked out of high school after tagging the school in a Banksy-esque fashion in revolt against his English teacher numerous times. After graduating a year early, Gerardo finally told Rafael of his mother and sent him away. Unsure of what to think and do about his mother and the similar traits he shares with her, he came to Camp Half-Blood
Physical Appearance: Rafael is a lean, short young man with the height of five feet and seven inches. He has dark curly brown hair that comes down to his jaw. He also has dark chocolate eyes and fair skin with no moles, freckles, or scars of any sort. He is normally seen with a black bandanna around his neck. Rafael also wears tight fitting clothes and a well-worn black wool jacket that ends at his waist.
Personality: Rafael is bright and fluent with words. He is versatile, adaptable, agile, and has sharp perception. He puts effort only into things he sees worthwhile. He knocks heads with those who have similar attitudes and dislikes those with normal families.
Fatal Flaw: Some negative traits Rafael has is the fact that he is flighty. He also fidgets, is undependable, has a certain lack of attention, has mood swings, is deceptive at times, and is easily influenced.
