CHRISTIAN WRIGHT
son of peitho
Christian was slightly pessimistic and therefore wasn't one to date. Well, he did date but he didn't go all romantic and sweet. He was more the "Hey babe," with a kiss when he saw his girlfriend and a hug. Nothing extravagant. Dates weren't the typical candle-lit dinners. Nah, they were going to see a film or just go for a walk. However most girls were stupid enough to think that he'd be different with them. They tried to change him and Chris just wouldn't go for it. He broke up with them as soon as they tried, he had no patience for those type of girls. There was only one girl in his life who he'd been close to for a very long time, his best friend Jenny. Jenny was a special case, he loved her like a little sister, he always understood what she said and when she looked at him it was like he could read her mind. However Jenny had the tendency to set Christian up on blind dates. An attribute to Jenny that he wasn't overly fond of.
Today Jenny had decided to set him up with a friend of hers, Evangeline, he had no clue who she was and at the moment imagined a very boring looking person who was probably a daughter of Athena and only talked about buildings and maths. So when he walked into Starbucks which had been mutually agreed upon he ordered a Cinnamon Dolce Latte to go he walked over to a standing table to wait for his drink. He didn't plan on staying long since most setups from Jenny were very very dull and most of the girls were nothing special. Maybe something would change today? Christian was almost hoping today would be different. He was a compassionate guy and he cared about lots of things but he didn't show it. He couldn't be bothered. Dressed casually in beige trousers from Gant with a simple shirt from American Eagle and a jacket he waited for Evangeline to show up.

Okay, be unpleasant. Be serious and talk about boring stuff-- you'll be out of here in no time at all. Evangeline thought to herself as she stood in front of the claiming area. "Trust me, Eve, this guy is perfect for you. Just go, please?" Jenny's voice kept ringing through Evangeline's head. Why had she chosen to go out today of all days? There was a mini-tournament being held in the arena, and Evangeline was so prepared to clobber William Halter in a duel. He deserved it. After that terrible break up with one of Evangeline's friends, who was near defenseless, he practically requested a good whack or two.
Evangeline was just about ready to wallow in her reverie when she heard the name. Christian Wright. She looked around, trying to seem inconspicuous. Immediately, a tall, lean, and rather good-looking (good job, Jen) boy came to get his coffee. He appeared pretty angry that his whole name had been called out. But, then again, during a blind date, who wouldn't? Evangeline snickered a bit as the guy, Christian, reached for his coffee and glared at the employee. Finally someone with emotion, she mentally thanked her friend as the boy stalked off to his table, where he whipped out a phone and started... texting, maybe?
When her drink was finally ready, Evangeline quickly claimed it. She hesitated momentarily as her frap sloshed in its container. Should she just go and introduce herself? Or wait for him to come, since he should have heard Evangeline's name announced?
Deciding to just go with it, she made her way to her 'date's' table. Before she got too close, Evangeline adjusted her black tank top and bohemian skirt. Thank the gods Jenny didn't go too overboard. After Evangeline's momentary lapse of vanity, she continued her calm walk to Christian table. She stopped in front of an empty chair and cleared her throat.
"Hey, I'm Evangeline. Is this, uhh, chair taken?" she asked, with a bit of humor escaping her mouth.

Christian saw someone walk in but since he didn't know what Evangeline looked like he stared for a bit and then continued waiting. One of the employees shouted out his name because his coffee was finally done, "Mr Wright? Mr Christian Wright? Your order is ready," he shouted. Getting a bit pissed because they used his last name, Christian allowed his gaze to harden when he looked at the man and grabbed his coffee without so much as a thank you and moved to the couch to sit down. He sipped his coffee as he looked out the window and waited for someone called Evangeline and probably Jenny who would most likely be stalking them all day in a wig and a huge trenchcoat. Slipping out his BlackBerry from his pocket and started to BBM some of his friends. BlackBerries were safer phones than normal ones apparently because they had been developed by a couple of Athena kids way back and everything sent out was coded and no-one could trace the phones. His first bbm was to Jenny;
Hey,
Sitting in Starbucks, that girl going to show up? God what did I let you get me into?!
x Chris PS: You're a cow ._. I'm just sitting here with my coffee bro.
(short, sorry :/)

Christian heard the name Evangeline being called out and looked up. Huh, it was the pretty girl. The very pretty girl. He rose to his feet quickly setting his coffee down and held his hand out, "Christian, and please sit," he said politely before waiting for Evangeline to sit so he could sit as well. However bored or annoyed Christian was there were somethings he always kept; a smile - even if fake - and his manners. He sat down once Evangeline did and took a quick sip from his coffee whilst he thought of what to say and do. Carefully he set the cup back down and spoke, "So, who's your god parent?" he asked. He wanted to be kind of able to sketch an opinion of her, was she a girly Aphrodite girl? Or maybe one of those moody Zeus kids. He regarded her carefully with his cool grey eyes waiting for her to answer. This girl actually interested him. Somewhat. Never admit proper feelings in the first page of a topic Christian. Shame on you.

When Christian invited Evangeline to take a seat, the latter nearly sighed with relief and exhaustion. Her heeled shoes were taking their miserable toll. "Thanks." she replied with a small smile before placing her frap on the table and settling down on the wooden chair. Evangeline couldn't help but glance momentarily at her companion. He wasn't just 'rather good-looking'. In fact, he was handsome and rather dashing, despite his casual get-up. She could already imagine a bunch of Aphrodite campers swooning at his feet and worshipping statues of him (okay, maybe not the worshipping part... but close enough). Heck, they were probably already plotting their revenge on Evangeline. She best watch her back from now on.
Realizing that she had stayed quiet for too long, Evangeline quickly flashed a grin and took a sip from her frap. Maybe she wouldn't play mean for today. "Iris. And you?" She sloshed her drink around for a bit before taking another sip. "Jenny forced you into this, didn't she?" Evangeline laughed out, waggling her brows.
Somehow Christian found it easy to get comfortable around this girl, like with Jenny yet different. He sat back a bit more instead of sitting up with a very rigid and straight back, "Peitho," he said smiling brilliantly. He wasn't one to brag but he was proud of his heritage. He didn't think Minor Gods as any less that the Olympians. When asked about Jenny his face slid into a comfortable, lopsided smile that showed some of his white teeth. Thank his orthodontist and dentist for his perfect teeth because let me tell you something; when he was 11 his teeth were a bigger mess than my bedroom. He shrugged unevenly, "Is it that obvious? That girl always seems to set me up with one person or another. However never and Aphrodite girl, thank the Gods!" he chuckled. He glanced at Evangeline again and then looked away quickly before returning to look and let his eyes glide over her body. The first thing he noticed wasn't her bosom or bum or anything that generic. It was her long hair. He loved it already and really wanted to run his hands through it and kiss her on her soft, pink, full lips.

Evangeline couldn't help but laugh. The guy actually had a sense of humor! She mentally thanked Jenny for making this 'date' more bearable than the others. "I know! Jen's been at it for the past two months. I don't think a week passes without her telling me about a 'guy she knows that's perfect for me'." Evangeline flourished the statement with air quotations. She leaned back and crossed her legs, feeling slightly more comfortable than what she felt like just moments ago. "So, tell me, how were these blind dates of yours? Did Jen pair you up with a bunch of random, gorgeous girls? Because, if so, that's totally her. Either that or she'll pair you up with Athena kids." She propped her elbow on the table and rested her chin on the nook of her hand, looking intently at Christian.
Christian shook his head in pretend disgust, "Two months only? I've been getting dates for the last 2 bloody years! That girl doesn't know what the word 'no' or 'don't' means!" he smiled and brushed through his hair with one of his hands and glanced at his BlackBerry. He'd gotten a message and he picked it up, "Thats Jenny, lets see what she said," he said before reading out the message; "Hey Chrissy, Hell yeah she's show, I dressed her so tell her she looks good. Also, don't be a boob to her like you are to my other setups for you, this girl is diff, kay? mhm, well, take the girl to the cinema, there'll be someone there with tickets. I already bought them and make sure you turn yo' moves on. Later, Jen." Chris laughed and looked at Evangeline, "To the cinema then?" he asked before realising he hadn't answered her question, feeling bad and mannerless he quickly apologized, "Sorry for not answering! I didn't mean to be rude! Lets see, how my dates went? Terrible. It mostly ended up the girls trying to 'change me' because I wasn't romantic and all that stuff. They were gorgeous yeah, or Athena kids so yes, that is totally her," he shrugged and grinned, "What about you?" he said as he rose to his feet and held out his hand to help her up.

Evangeline snorted as Christian read the words "tell her she looks good". Classic Jenny; always taking pride in her 'makeovers'. There was never a complete change of style, though. All the clothes Evangeline wore now were from her closet, not Jenny's. It just so happened that someone had wanted to play 'dress-the-Iris-camper-and-get-away-with-it-for-a-day'. Maybe Jenny should pick date wardrobe more often? Shrugging the thought away, Evangeline smiled and retorted, "Umm, well then I guess I know what to expect, huh? Okay, I'll be sure to evade your moves." She winked as she lightly placed her hand atop Christian's. It definitely wasn't awkward, even if they'd just met. Somehow, Evangeline had a sense of belonging.
When she was up and ready, she withdrew her hand, slightly surprised with the gentlemanly gesture. "Shall we, good sir?" Evangeline asked dramatically before walking ahead, hand tingling from the brief touch. What was wrong with her?
"Let's see... All my dates have been simply wonderful. You know, I really do find Quantum Physics interesting. I mean, who wouldn't like that subject?" she started, a sarcastic-tone taking over her voice as she exaggerated with hand gestures. Evangeline started pacing slower, allowing herself to be nearly shoulder-to-shoulder with Christian. She recounted the first events that popped up in her head, sarcasm gone. "I gained two stalkers after just three weeks of continuous dating! You have no idea how determined these guys can get. Would it kill to just stop the overly romantic and cheesy stuff? If I were to end up with a guy, I'd want him to be my best friend. Someone I can open up to and count on." Evangeline said, mouth spouting out words without censor. She wasn't one to bottle up emotions. "Though, I'm probably asking for too much, right? People seem to think that the best way to woo a girl is through grand, romantic gestures. Those are cute and all, don't get me wrong... But I prefer quiet walks, reading together in the library, and a bunch of other simple things."
Chuckling Christian shook his head, "We shall m'lady," he said formally but he didn't sound weird at all. He sounded...right. He was always polite like that and therefore he didn't sound silly like a little boy playing a game. He chuckled at her dating remarks nodding understandingly, "Sounds like a lot of fun! Talking about stalkers, those Aphrodite girls cannot keep their hands to themselves, its really pissing me off," he sighed. He looked around for a cab but there wasn't one so he sighed, he didn't like people knowing he had money right when they met but it was necessary, "Shall we take my car? Its all the way in the Upper East Side knowing Jenny and thats a bit of a long walk," he said taking his car keys out his pocket. Evangeline continued talking about what kind of guy she wanted and he was slightly taken aback. Everything she described was a lot like him or like he wanted. This made Christian a bit unsure of how to respond and what to say. He just smiled and nodded as he pointed to his new Porsche, "There's my car," he said casually not wanting to make a big deal of the type of car he drove. He didn't buy an expensive car on purpose because he was rich. The money he had enabled him to buy the car that he thought looked really good and he really wanted.
