Miranda sat down, tucking an annoying strand of her long hair behind her ear.
Being at this camp was still soaking in, her not being used to everything happening so quickly.
Her still being so new, she hadn't had the chance to meet people she would get along with.

Miranda let her now bare feet wiggle around in the water before her.
Letting her eyes adjust to the oncoming darkness, she sighed.
Pulling her left leg up onto her chest, she rested her head on her knee.

Miranda missed her father.
She even missed the boyat her orphanage who would occasionally walk in on her changing,
as weird as that may sound. She was lonely.
Letting that realisation sink in, she noticed the sound of a twig breaking on the ground behind her.

Daniel Riley Thompson, walks along the beach, his hands shoved in the pockets of his shorts. He was lonely, very lonely. Right now all he wanted was a friend. Someone that he could talk to, and tell them everything. He didn't need a friend, he needed a best friend. He sighs softly and countines to walk through the forest. Honestly Daniel hadn't thought this through. If he was looking for someone to talk to, why did he come to the forest? Hardly anyone ever went to the forest. Daniel stops walking and leans against a rock. He was such an idiot.

He sighs and walks back on the path. He then keeps on walking. That's when he notices the girl in sand , ahead of him. He walks towards her and that's when he steps on the twig. "Damnit"he says quietly to himself. Daniel then walks fully into the moonlight, and to where he's in view of the girl. "Eh. I'm sorry if I scared you or anything"he says softly. Daniel then looks around and starts to whistle.

She stared in curiosity at the boy. Feeling her cheeks turn hot, she smiled nervously.
"Oh, don't worry about it." She studied him a moment.
"What's your name?" She stood up, stretching, before standing normally.
From her distance, he was quite handsome.
Well, this coming from a girl who lived alone her whole life.
((ooc: Sorry for it being short, I have to leave for an hour. :c))

Daniel looks at the girl and smiles lightly. He then flicks his head, to move his hair out of his face. It was starting to fall into his eyes, he needed to get it cut. He looks at the girl, she was pretty. "Oh well thats good"he says quietly. Daniel then looks around, he was feeling kind of nervous.

Daniel looks back at the girl and smiles. "I'm Daniel Riley Thompson, but I go by either Daniel, Dan, or Danny"he says to her. "What's your name?"he asks the girl. The whole time Daniel couldn't stop wondering, if she could be a possible friend.

"I'm Miranda," she told him.
The fact that she used her full first name came as a shock to her.
Everyone had called her MJ as a child. That strand of hair came loose again, but she ignored it.
"So, Daniel, How long have you been here?"
she asked him, her pale brown eyes sparkling with interest.

Daniel smiles lightly and sits down in the sand. He looks up at her, still smiling. Miranda, that was a nice name, and a pretty one. He runs his fingers through his hair and sits there. "Around three years. I think"he says, trying to think. If he had come to camp at age thirteen, and he was sixteen now, it would be around three years. He then looks back at Miranda, "I don't think I've seen you around, are you new?"he asks her.

Daniel then rubs his eyes and puts his hands down in the sand, behind his back. Daniel then leans back, supporting himself with his hands. "Who's your godly parent? Mines Hedylogos the god of sweet talk and flattery"he says softly. His parent was kind of embarrasing, but he figured he really shouldn't care that much. He then looks at Miranda trying to figure out who her parent is. Maybe it was Aphrodite or Eros, she was pretty enough. Though he wouldn't sterotype, plus she didn't act like most of the Aphrodite or even the Eros campers, Miranda was a lot nicer.

"Three years?" Miranda asked, her mouth dropping open.
It was only a year more than her, but it was still shocking.
"I've been here two. If you haven't seen me around, it's because I don't really socialize.. not my thing."
She chuckled at her lameness.

"Hedylogos? Interesting.. Sweet talk and flattery. That must come in handy."
Her laugh came out more relaxed this time. She sat next to him.
"My mom is Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, Warfare, and Battle Strategy."
She couldn't say much about her mother rubbing off on her, since she wasn't very "wise".
