Taking a breath through my mouth, My glazed eyes glanced over at a boy... Who appeared to be sleeping on the ledge of a fountain. Holding that gaze for a moment or two, I blinked, then noticed my fake eyelashes were starting to fall off. Glancing around for anybody who could have noticed, I quickly pressed them back on. Smiling sheepishly down at myself, my eyes adverted back to the guy. What was his name? Alex… Alec? I think it was Alec. It was almost 85 degrees out! Who the hell falls asleep outside in sun like this? Shaking my head, I reached into my holster (that was cleverly disguised as a belt) and pulled out a pair of sunglasses. Hey, sorry, my dagger was in the forgery for sharpening. Scratching my nose for a second, I put the sunglasses on my face and walked over to Alec.
Poking him in the cheek, I watched as he appeared not to have cared. Shrugging, I sat next to him and crossed my legs. Dammit, these heels were really uncomfortable. Kicking them off, I picked them up and set them next to me. Ah there he was. Lucky me, there was a son of a minor god who was willing to pick up Chinese food for me. In his hands were a white container with a pack of chopsticks and a fortune cookie. … How much did that cost again? About 15 drachmas, I believe. ’Um, here you go. 15 drachmas.’ I said to him, taking the food from him.
Ripping open the package quite aggressively, I pried open the box of combination lo mien and started slurping up the noodles. Mmm. As the sun beat down on my shoulders, I looked back to the Zeus cabin. It would be smart to put some sunscreen on. Setting my food on the boy’s stomach (which was rather flat and hard) I walked back to my cabin in search for some sunscreen.

As soon as I came out of the Zeus cabin, rubbing in some leftover sunscreen into my tan skin, I gazed blankly at the boy who was sitting up, and holding my food. That awkward gaze lingered for about a minute in utter silence. Wait, what was he doing holding my food? Tilting my head to the left for a moment, I blinked slowly, my eyes focusing on his. 'Go back to sleep, I'm eating.' I said quite rudely. Walking up to him, I yanked my food out of his hands and sat back down, my legs crossed and my chopsticks in my left hand. I began picking at my noodles, and slurped it up with my mouth, avoiding all eye contact with the guy who sat next to me.
Slipping my heels on, I stood up and walked over to the trash can. Tossing my empty noodle carton into the trash, I walked back over and began munching on my dumplings. Mmm, who knew tension could taste so good?
