I didn't know people worked here? (Alexis)

Iota - Naiad
===========

Hay strewn across the floor, loose hay
hay tied up into bundles. Suspicous
looking brown stains here and there on
the ground. A trough filled with water.
Sever pundles of hay were pulled togethor
to form almost a bed, there was a towel
positioned over this. There were holes
in the barn, after all it was quite old
and if Iota could have gotten into the
Farm house, she would have. Still
the barn was a good enough place
to stay. There were many towels
positioned around were she had made
her bed. Iota sat on a makeshift hay
sheet, she was sat barefoot. Her lips
pursed togethor in thought, a small smile
upon her face.

Sarah walked on the edge of a deserted road. There was hardly any existence of life here except for insects and grass growing through the gaps of the cobbled sidewalk. She then saw a girl in a nearby barn. There was something unusual about her so Sarah decided to walk towards her. "Hi" Sarah greeted as she approached her.

Iota looked over at the new arrival,
her lips pursed in thought, she smiled
at the girl. "Greetings pretty girlie, it's
nice to meet you, though I am curious
as to what you are doing here? I myself
am staying here for a couple of nights
so what are you doing here?"

Sarah considered whether or not to trust her for a moment before coming to the conclusion that the chances of her being a monster is pretty slim. "I just came here to visit some old friends but I got lost" she answered before adding "and why would you stay there, I came past a hotel just a while ago. Besides that place is probably full of insects and rodents".

"Because if I were to stay in a hotel, then
it wouldn;t be an adventure now would it?"
Iota says, tilting her to watch the girl
with mild interest. The young naiad
cracked a small, but pleasent smile
"besides whats the fun of having an
adventure without the bugs?"

"Staying in an abandoned barn isn't exactly an adventure either" Sarah replied frowning. " And what kind of a person would think bugs are fun?" Sarah turned on her heels and headed out of the barn but suddenly she heard a deep growling noise. She instinctively took out her dagger and turned back. Standing there a couple of metres behind the girl was a Cyclops. It was about twice the size of Sarah and its single eye looking directly at the girl.

Iota didn't seemed to have noticed the cyclops
or perhaps she didn't pay it no heed. Instead
the young Naiad would reply to the girls
question. "Well, it depends on the person
realy, besides this is the first settlers would
have done it, with the bugs and the dirt."
Iota put a finger to her lips a thoughtful
smile upo her face "to each there own I
guess."

Sarah grabbed the girl's wrist. "Just get away from here!" She shouted, not bothering to explain to her. She turned and looked at the cyclops and doubted her chance of defeating it. She thought it would be better if she just left it alone. So Sarah turned and pulled the girl with her and started to run.
