| Sunny stretched next to the track. Her water bottle was full of water and some ice cubes. Then she st her stopwatch and started jogging. She made good time, doing a lap in two minutes. She did several more laps, finishing, panting.
When she walked back to where she left her water bottle, it was gone. She looked around confusedly, small strands of her sunbleached hair plastered to her face. | |

Naren smiled and drank another gulp of water from her older sister's bottle. She rearranged her legs around a branch so she could hang on and watch Sunny at the same time. Naren laughed silently. She was a Hermes kid at heart.
And I'll make a wish,

| Sunny shook her head, silently cursing herself for leaving her bottle laying around for thirsty kleptos.
Then she smiled and took another bottle out of her pack, drinking from it thirstily. This bottle was supposed to be for when she went swimming later, but she could always refill it.
She gave a sly smile to the world, so whoever took her bottle knew she wasn't THAT dumb. | |

"Oh, gods. How I hate training," Anneliese muttered to herself, strapping her Celestial bronze dagger back into its sheath. Maybe it was time for her ninth break of the day. She shook her head. I have got to learn how to not be lazy when it comes to fighting, she thought.
Anneliese almost bumped into a girl from the Hermes cabin but luckily she halted before any damage could be done. Her gold-green eyes narrowed. She recognized the girl as someone her age, but still she's heard of stories of how tricky the Hermes kids were. The young girl had a sly grin plastered on her face as if reminiscing a private joke.
"Umm... hi," Anneliese said awkwardly, shifting her weight over to her left foot. She wasn't that good at making friends and it made her come across as being snobby. "I'm Anneliese, daughter of Aphrodite. You're the girl from Cabin 11, right?" | |
