Jennifer Allen
Jennifer sat up and clenched her jaw. She averted her eyes, studying the trees. "Well no... I mean, yes, kind of, no..." She looked down at her converse, concentrating on the shade of green. "Look, Matt... When I joined, I was a kid... I didn't know what I was doing. I didn't think of giving up mean as a big deal, they never payed attention to me anyway, so I didn't think I was missing anything... Until, I met you." Then, before she could continue, a bright light appeared. "Look away!" she instructed. Jennifer turned away. She knew who this was. Artemis appeared before them both. The winds yelped and stopped running around, terrified of the goddess. Jennifer bit her lip. She was in real trouble now... She had broken an oath, and an important one at that. Jennifer shoved her hands in her pockets to hide the shaking. "Jennifer Allen, you have broken your vow to me. You are no longer deemed loyal to the Hunt. I strip you of your immortality." As she said this, Jennifer saw her silvery aura disappear. She no longer felt the power of eternal youth. She felt more vulnerable, even more than before. Her jacket disappeared off her back as well, all signs of her Huntress status gone. "Matthew Pierce, you have broken this maid's oath. I take that as a great disrespect. However, I am feeling merciful today, so I will not kill you," Artemis snapped her fingers upon those words leaving her mouth. A shimmer erupted around Matt, and where he was previously standing, a small hedgehog lay. "No!" Jennifer screamed. But, before she could say anymore, Artemis disappeared. Jennifer knelt in the snow, and picked up the hedgeh- Matt, scooping him up in her palms. "Oh my god, Matt... Oh my god no..." The snow had stopped falling, and it bagan to melt in the afternoon sunlight. Jennifer pulled her hands up to her face, studying Matt. This was her fault. "Oh my gods... What do I do?" She looked down at Mrs. Opal, then back to Matt. Gods weren't fair, nor generous. They would only do favors if they got something in exchange. Then, she knew what she was to do. Jennifer stood up from her place on the ground, a determined look in her eye. "It's time to negotiate with a goddess."
