Brief
History: Zuni grew up listening to her mother tell her bedtime stories
of Greek heroes. “One day I’m going to save the world,” had usually
been what Zuni would say after the tales. Her mother would pat her on
the head and tell her to go to sleep, that she could be a hero in the
morning. When she was ten she would tell her best friend stories of how
one day she would be a hero. One day she would save the world. Her
friend had laughed at her, told her the world didn’t need saving
anymore. Zuni had been disappointed that her friend didn’t believe in
heroes. After that she pretty much let go of the hope of being a hero.
Zuni showed an interest in archery from about the day she turned five.
Her mother allowed her to take archery lessons when she turned eight.
Zuni excelled in archery. Her mother bought her a bow and arrows for her
tenth birthday and Zuni took it with her everywhere, well she tried to
at least. The arrows were tipped with celestial bronze. She used it to
fend off the monsters that occasionally showed up. Her mother tried to
hide the truth about her father but it started to get dangerous. Zuni
was enrolled in school after school and yet the monster kept finding
her. When she was 12 her mother told her she was a half blood and took
her to Camp Half Blood.

Physical Appearance: Zuni has golden
hair. She tries to keep it away from her face as much as possible as it
gets in the way when she’s practicing her archery. She wears t-shirts
and jeans, and pretty much anything she finds comfortable. She has
fierce
green eyes.

Personality: She’s funny and out-going. She’s determined
and never gives up. Zuni is generally happy and cheerful, but she can often take things the wrong way. She's not
very tactful in how to put things in a nice way and just says what she
thinks. She changes herself a lot in order to match others expectations of her, so she's rarely herself.

Fatal Flaw: Loyalty ~ She's loyal to the point of death

Pets: A calico kitten she found named Susy.

Talents: Archery (If you couldn’t tell already)

Brief History:

Growing Up

Jessica grew up in a cabin by an orchard. Her mother loved to hunt and was a bee-keeper. They lived a ways out of a small town in Montana and past the orchard was a large forest where Janet would hunt. Janet taught her daughter how to use a bow and arrows. She also showed her daughter how to care for the bees. When Jessie was 8 her mother married Robert Hossfuss. Jessie was 10 when Johnathon was born. Jessie loved him dearly for the first few months. His crying and whining soon got annoying. She felt like her mother favored him over her. Jessie had one friend, a boy named Billy. Jessie told Billy everything, all her problems.

She discovers She's special!

"Billy I'm leaving. I can't stay here anymore! John, that filthy little pest, is getting all the attention! Anything that goes wrong- I get the blame!" Jessie had told Billy one day. Billy had stared at her in horror. "No... Jessie, you can't leave. If you leave I'm going with you!" Billy protested. Jessie shook her head. He couldn't come. He was her best friend but he didn't know how to live in the wild like her. She had been on hunting trips with her mother. "No Billy," she said softly. He shook his head and glanced around. Seeing someone nearby he lead her away. "Jessie I have something to tell you. I know a place in New York you can go. It's a camp. You're not like ordinary people. I know you see things. They're real," Billy said in a low voice. Jessie gasped. Of all the things he knew about her, she hadn't told him about the monsters. She hadn't told anyone. She didn't want to be a crazy person. "Fine, you can come," she muttered. "One more thing, and please don't freak out!" He said as he led her into some woods. He hid behind a tree and when he came out he was a goat. Well half goat, half Billy. "You're... " she couldn't say anymore as she backed away. "Jessie you have to listen to me! You're a half-blood. The daughter of a god. The Greek myths? They're real. I'm a satyr and I need to get you to camp." He said urgently. She nodded hesitantly, still in shock.

Journey to Camp

Jessie's journey to camp was long and hard. Billy provided her with arrows tipped with celestial bronze. They ran into many monsters. Billy told her where to go if something happened to him. They struggled towards New York, running into monsters a lot. They make it to New York state before Billy get killed by a monster. Jessie was devastated. They had fought off monsters together and been closer friends than before. She fought with fury against the monster that had killed him. It had been a cyclopes. She shot arrow after arrow at it. Finally Jessie watched as it crumbled into yellow dust. She was panting and had long cut down her arm. A few nicks and bruises in other places. She bound the arm and headed slowly and reluctantly towards New York City and camp.

Physical Appearance: Jessie has brown hair that hangs down her back with a ragged cut. She keeps it held back in a ponytail. She has forest green eyes with flecks of brown. Jessie wears jeans or camouflage pants and a green or brown t-shirt all the time. she wears soft-soled hunting boots so she can walk without making noise. She doesn't care about looks too much.

Personality: Jessie isn't social. It isn't that she hates society its simply that she can't be bothered. She sticks to herself and is quiet. There is a sort of sadness about her since Billy died. She is shy. Her favorite thing to do is to hunt. She likes to be outside and away from people.
Fatal Flaw: Separated- She rarely feels close to people and has trouble telling people when something is wrong.
Doesn't trust- Finds it hard to trust people.
Hold grudges- She finds it hard to forgive.
Pets: A deer named Ayla- Jessie accidentally shot her mother and raised the fawn.
Talents: Hunting- She loves it and hunts as much as she can. She can track most animals.
Bees like her- Wherever she goes bees tend to arrive.
