A tall heavy looking metal box stands at the back of the Hephaestus cabin, lining the bottom of the box are expertly welded flame designs. A small table with some small sheets of paper and a pen is placed directly beside it.
The slot at the top of the box shows that nominations should be made here.

I take the pen nervous. And I write my name on the paper and put it in the box. There aren't too many kids in Hephaestus, so I have a chance.

There seemed to be a new addition to the cabin, a nomination box for the Hephaestus cabin leader it seems. Good, it was about time our cabin got a leader. Grabbing a sheet of paper and the pen, I wrote "Essie Bloom" on the sheet in my usual, messy scrawl. Essie was still pretty young - thirteen - but she seemed to me like she would be a good cabin leader. Besides she had been here for a such a long time. It was crazy.

She's an alright kid though.
