| ~ Abigail Morrigan, 17, Daughter of Athena ~
I'm tired of being what you want me to be, Feeling so faithless, lost under the surface. Don't know what you're expecting of me, Put under the pressure of walking in your shoes. The lake was such a peaceful place. The water seemed undisturbed, save for a few small ripples present here and there. A lone girl sat down by the lakeside, her legs half-submerged in the cool refreshing water. Abigail had a Sudoku puzzle book on her lap and a pencil on her hand. She had a look of concentration on her face, with her eyebrows scrunched up together and her lips in a tight frown. It was only when she wrote the last number on the puzzle that she relaxed, bringing her eyes up to look at the scenery before her. Abby smiled, soothed by the sight, before bringing her attention back to the puzzle book. She flipped it, realizing that she had more than fifty puzzles more to go to finish the entire book. It was actually her second book, since the first one got drenched by some heavy rain a while back. With a sigh, Abby started to answer the next puzzle.
With her mind focused on the puzzle, Abigail gave a start when she heard a snapping of a twig behind her. She tried to jump into a standing position at the sudden noise, thinking it was a monster of some sort. What she realized too late was that her legs were dangling underwater. So instead of getting up on her two feet on land, the daughter of Athena practically jumped in the water. Luckily the lake wasn't too deep around its edges, but Abby was still submerged in the water from the waist down. Mentally berating herself for her stupidity, she turned to the source of the sound that caused her to end up like this. She forced a smile.
"Hello," she said as she turned to the newcomer. Abby looked down on herself, noticing that the ends of her orange camp shirt were also dripping wet. "Looks like I'm having a bad day," Abby said, indicating her half-drenched self.

i walked across and empty land i knew the pathway like the back of my hand i felt the earth beneath my feet sat by the river and it made me complete oh simple thing, where have you gone? i'm getting old and i need something to rely on |
Jasper had been outside all day out near the water just lying in the sun in his swimming trunks with a book. He had enough of the beach though so he would make his way home by now, the only problem was that he'd hurt himself on a broken glass bottle on the beach so he was limping slightly as blood streamed down his legs. He'd definitely stop to get a bandage quickly in the infirmary. He walked past the Lake to the Infirmary when he pushed through the bushes someone got scared and fell in the water. He rushed over and helped her out, "Are you okay? I'm so sorry if I scared you," he said quickly offering her his beach towel. He felt bad already. His towel wasn't exactly dry since he'd just used it which you could see from his wet curls that hung in front of his eyes. His shirt was drier and also over his shoulder so he offered that as well, "I'm Jasper," he said.

| "Thanks. I'm Abigail, but just Abby please," Abigail said as she got back on land. She smiled at Jasper as she tried to wring out the ends of her shirt and pants. She looked up to see Jasper offering her a towel and a shirt. Still smiling, Abby shook her head at him.
"No, it's fine. It's just a little water," the daughter of Athena said. Typical Abigail, refusing help even if she needed it. She continued to squeeze her shirt and rolled up pants, water dripping to the ground. Finally, her eyes spotted the scarlet streak down Jasper's legs. Her eyes widened and she looked up at him.
"What happened to you? Are you alright?" she asked him anxiously, forgetting for a moment that the lower half of her body was still drenched.

Jasper was stubborn so he wrapped the towel around the girl and glanced at his leg and shrugged dismissively, "Its nothing," he said in his melodic, quiet voice and smiled brightly to prove that he was just fine. He started to rub the towel over her back drying it. He didn't see the problem with this, he'd lived for 1749 years. He had seen so many people naked or doing things that are meant to be kept a secret that he was very very very far from prude and didn't even get phased by a naked man or woman. So in this case he saw nothing wrong with drying the girl off.

| Abigail was beginning to get a little uncomfortable but she didn't show it. After all here was a guy who she just met, now helping her dry off. Abby stepped back a bit from Jasper, regarding him for a few seconds. It wasn't a hard stare, not like Abby was being mean; she was just being cautious.
"It's fine. I can handle it on my own, thanks," Abby said, half-smiling at him as she draped the towel around her. Well it was beginning to get cold."Your leg doesn't really look too good," Abby said quietly, glancing again at his bleeding leg. "It might get infected."
