Isabella laid next to Chris, her head on his bare chest. Without even thinking, Isabella started to cry. She could literally hear her heart break.

"Y-You just started drinking when I w-w-woke up. I tried t-t-to calm you and you almost s-s-swallowed the pills. I put you in bed to calm your-yourself and before you told me yo-you wanted to kill yourself because I didn't love you. I only took the p-p-pills because y-you don't love me and you didn't need me because yo-you tried to kill yourself. I did you a favor," Isabella said in between sobs as she cried. Isabella sometimes had small, panic attacks when she cried this hard. Isabella felt like she couldn't breath and sat up quickly, trying to gulp in air. Isabella's breath was rapid and loud as she tried to breathe and suck in air. Isabella felt like she couldn't breathe

Chris also started to shake but tried to hide it, sitting up quickly and putting his large hands gently on either side of her face, looking her in her grey eyes. "Isabella. I love you more then I have ever lived anything in my entire life. I must've been very drunk to so that."

Chris leaned forward, brushing her tears away with a kiss. "You would not have done me a favour. I want to grow old with you, Isabella. Have kids. Get married. Be the old, wrinkley elderly couple that sit on a park bench with you during our retierment, watching our grand-children play catch."

Chris raised his eyebrows, having already thought this as he was a Aphrodite kid and a hopeless romantic. Everyone he said was true.

Isabella started breathing right again and looked Chris in the eyes. She knew he wasn't lying. Isabella smiled at Chris, her gray eyes returning to normal. Isabella nodded.

"Ditto baby. You are mine forever," Isabella whispered to Chris, jumping forward and hugging him. Isabella looked up, her eyelashes fluttering at Chris. Isabella kissed Chris on the lips, running her hands through his dark curls.

Chris laughed against Isabella's lips, his hands trailimg down her hips to the waistband off her jeans, into her pockets when his fingers made fontact with something. Chris frowned, pulling away from Isabella to look at her face as he pulled the card out, a number on the front.

"Who's number is this?" Chris asked, confused as be tried to re-call a point in the past few days when Isabella had bbeen given a phone number but he couldnt remember...yesterdays events.

Chris wasn't jealous, just curious like anyone would be.

Isabella blinked when Chris asked who's number that was. Suddenly, Isabella made a face, remembering who's number that was. Isabella grabbed the card and crumpled it, throwing it across the room. Isabella shook her head, looking up at Chris.

"Some, big guy's number who said he would protect me if you hit me," Isabella said before shuddering, remembering yesterday. Isabella rested her head on Chris's chest, tracing his tattoo with her soft finger.

"It doesn't natter though. I hope he burns with Hades," Isabella said to Chris, making a face.

Chris frowned as he thought, liking the feel of Isabella tracing his tattoo on his chest with her small, delicate finger. To die would be an awfully big adventure. Again, Chris found it ironic how those words were forever going to be on his skin, when he had technically already died. Oops. Thsts what being drunk did to you.

Chris adjusted the towel on his lower half quickly before frowning at Isabella, kissing her forehead softly. "I woule never hit or want to hit you. Why did he think I would?" He asked with a frown. If Isabella reminded him about yesterday, he would hate himself forever.

Isabella shrugged, still tracing his tattoo. Isabella didnt want to being it up. Something could happen. No, Isabella knew something would happen.

"It doesn't matter. What's over is over," Isabella told Chris, shrugging her shoulders. Isabella continued to trace his tattoo, smiling lightly up at Chris.

Chris continued to watch Isabella as she traced his tattoo, smiling down at her when she smiled up at him but his eyes were like wheels; twirling whilst he considered what had been said. He hadn't hit her, had he? Hhe coupdn't have. Sober, Chris would mever hit her. Drunk, he would never hit her.

Christopher, despite looking amazing hot like any other Aphrodite child, wasn't as dumb as he let on. He was actually pretty clever, but all his life he had pretended to be just looks, nothing more. The main reason for this was so that he could spend his day at high school flirting, instead of attempting to learn. Another was just because he couldn't be bothered.

Chris watched Isabella for a little longer before sighing depressingly, leaning down to press his forehead against hers. He closed his eyes, leaning forward to kiss Isabella softly and deciding not to press it. He would not tell her that he had figured it out.

"Do you want a shower, Beautiful?" He asked her, with a fake smile.

Isabella looked up when Chris offered to take a shower. But she frowned when she saw how he was smiling. It was a fake smile. Isabella knew that Chris would be bothered by what she had told him, but Isabella didn't want to relive yesterday for all the money in the world. Isabella leaned her head on Chris's bare chest, her long dark hair cascading down her back.

"Why are you fake smiling?" Isabella asked Chris plainly. She knew the answer; Isabella just wanted to make sure it was true.

Chris burst into forced laughter, trying to erase her thoughts of him knowing. "I wasn't fake smiling!" He exclaimed defensivly with a goofy smile on his face, trying to move on from the subject. He woule most defiently be wallowing in his own self-pity when they returned to camp - whenever that was.

Chris brushed a lock of his damp curls off his face, looking around the room briefly. He hadn't actually hurt her, had he? He hoped he hadn't. No, his life depended on it. He wouldn't be able to live with himself if he had. But he wouldn't kill himself sober so he would drink...as so the cycle would continue.

Isabella looked in Chris's eyes worried, searching for an answer. Isabella studied Chris worriedly. Isabella knew he was stubborn and dented things a lot.

"Chris, please promise me you will never drink again. Please? Y-You scared me," Isabella begged Chris, her eyes worried and tears firming in the corners if her eyes. Isabella was worried that Chris would kill himself.

"Please do not kill yourself. Please," Isabella begged as tears started to fall again.

Chris frowned again, his lips pressing into a thin line as he looked down at her. He wiped her tears from her cheeks gently with his thumb. Honestly, what she had said made him want to do something like that more. He shook his head.

"I'm sorry, Isabella. I don't want to break a promise to you." Chris told her truthfully. At least he was going to lie to her. "Because, chances are, I will drink again. I don't want to lie to you." He told her, his eyes sad as her wrapped his arms around her waist gently.

Isabella shook her head as Chris wrapped his arms around her.

"Chris! In serious! What if you get drunk and kill yourself? What would I do? I will be heartbroken," Isabella told Chris, tears still falling. Isabella wiped her tears away and got off the bed, not knowing what Chris was going to do anymore. She couldn't control him. Isabella walked into the kitchen, her feet not making any noise. Isabella stood over the sink, filling up a glass of water as a hand went over her mouth. Isabella dropped the cup, it breaking into millions of pieces. Isabella struggled against the string hand, but stopped as she felt something hard and cold pressed to her head.

Isabella's knees shook from fear and Isabella slumped against the person, her knees giving out.

Chris bit his lip as he watched Isabella leave him, cussing to himself under his breath. He hadn't promised her that he would stop drinking because it would probably be a lie. He was a teenager for gods sake! Young! There was going to be many times where he would do all nighters and get bladdered. To enforce rules on him to stop him having dun, that wasn't fair on him.

Chris stood up, pullimg on his underwear and jeans. Before he could pull his shirt on, he heard a glass smach. Finding a baseball bat lying in the corner of the room, Chris picked it up, getting into the correct stance for it before silently heading into the kitchen, finding an old guy and Isabella.

Chris froze as he saw that the man had a gun pressed against Isabella's head but he didn't stop, the man havimg not noticed Chris. When Chris was behind him, he swung the bat full force at him, forcing him to stumble away. That was the oppurtuntity that Chris needed. Pushing Isabella onto the sofa quickly, Chris was about to tackle the man when a gun shot blew off, forcing Chris to fall to the ground, not knowing whether he had been shot or not.

Everything happened so fast. Isabella heard the gun go off and Usabella screamed covering her head. Isabella looked up and saw Chris. The bullet only grazed his arm. Okay, it was a flesh wound. That wasn't bad as Usabella has thought it would be. Isabella felt someone pull at her hair. Isabella winced and fought against the man. She stopped when she felt the gun poke her stomach, smoke coming from the gun since it had gone off. Isabella cried out when she felt the man's nails dig into her skin, drawing blood. The man cocked the gun again, it still on Isabella's stomach. Isabella looked at Chris and back at the man before elbowing the man in the face.

The man cried out and stumbled back, firing the gun twice out of pain. Isabella fell to the ground, covering her head. Isabella DISNT know if she had gotten hit. There was adreline pumping through her blood to make her think less if pain.

Chris cussed loudly in pain as the bullet grazed his arm, blood splattering slightly on his clothes and face. He ignored it, watching it all happen so fast as he attepmted to stand up. The next thing he knew, Isabella had dived to the ground as the man was about to shoot the gun.

Chris, not wanting Isabella to hurt, didn't think it through before he leaped at the man, trying to use himself as a sheild for Isabella. The gun was pressed into his stomach as it went off, both bullets connecting with Chris' flesh.

Chris fell to the ground, feeling the most agonizing pain he had ever experienced. He pushed it back, getting to his feet once more and pushing the man away weakly. The door of the apartment was knocked in, lots of Swat police officers screaming "We heard gun shots! Drop the weapon!" Chris didn't see what happened to the man then, he stummbled ober to Isabella, trying to see if she was hurt when he looked down at his hand which had bedlrn clutching his stomach, sticky and covered in his blood. He passed out, falling to the ground and passing out.

Isabella screamed when she saw that Chris had been shot instead. Isabella rushed over to his side, seeing blood coming out of his stomach.

"Why can't you just let me get hurt for once?" Isabella whispered, putting hernhandsnon his wound, trying to make the bleeding stop. A grip of hands pulled her away as other people took Chris away and to the hospital. Isabella sighed and yanked herself free the man's grasp, rubbing her arms, only wanting to be with Chris.

Chris opened his eyes dazed to the sound of beeps, and the feeling of a vehicle shaking. He was in the back of an abulance, two doctirs frantically working around him. The pain was unbareble but Chris managed it barely, knowing that they were probably pumping him with morphine right now. He couldn't see Isabella. "Where's Isabella? The girl I was with!" He asked desperatly, his voice cracking in pain.

The woman doctor was pressing something down on his gut but Chris didn't pay attention, feeling himself losing conciousness again. He just needed to know that Isabella was alright for he passed out. "She's fine, Sweetie. Now tell us, what's your name?"

Chris didn't really think, relieved that Isabella was okay. He knew that he was supposed to be dead so using his real name would creep people out. "Jason...Jason James." He told her quickly, hoping to remember that.

That was when the other doctor shouted; "He's going critical!"

Then Christopher blacked out again.

Isabella got a free ride to the hospital by the cop. Isabella jumped out if the car when it about to park near the entrance. The car didn't even stop moving as Isabella jumped out, landing on her hands and knees. Isabella got up quickly and ran to the desk, breathing hard.

"Boyfriend...just...came...okay...room," Isabella managed to say between gasps. The nurse looked at Isabella and shrugged. "He's in operation, but he'll be in that room," the nurse said. Isabella nodded and said a quick thanks, walking into the room and sitting on the chair.

Chris opened his eyes again, seeing lights flying fasts above his eyes. Looking around, he saw that he was being wheeled down the hallway by the doctor from the ambulance. She smiled down at him, as they pushedhim inyo a room, he was feeling slightly dazed and confused.

"Am I alright?" He asked as they pushed him into the private hospital room. He shufflrdonto the bed quickly and painfully, pulling the covers over him. "You'll be fine, Pet." She told him in a thick NewCastle accent (Englad), before leaving. Chris pulled his hospital gown underneath the covers since he was naked underneath, almost gagging as he saw his stomach completely covered in stitches.

Isabella woke up when she saw Chris was in the room. Isabella jumped up and hugged him tightly, advoiding where he had gotten shot.

"Gids Chris, you gave me a heartattack," Isabella whispered, still hugging him. Isabella looked at Chris. He didn't seem that bad. Well, he did have a bad injury. Isabella kissed him on the lips, hoping to make the pain go away.

Chris wrapped his arms around Isabella's back, glad that they had started to pump him with morphine even if it made him slightly confused. He kissed Isabella back gently, making sure that is stomach wasn't in pain. His arm was also in a sling from where a bullet had grazed him.

Chris shuffled over on the bed, pulling Isabella down next to him and pulling her under the covers. Chris took her hand, leaning back on the large pillow and just watching her, not believing how close he had come to losing her again.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. Or get shot." Chris told her, his voice sounding terrible; quiet, hoarse and way to husky then usual. Chris smiled slightly at her, putting a arm around her and pulling hnto his side, his cheek resting against her head.

Isabella only nodded. She knew Chris would take anything for her. Anything. Isabella leaned against Chris's chest, feeling warm and safe in his arms. Isabella could feel his chest rise and fall and smiled at it.

"It's alright babe. As long as your okay," Isabella told Chris with a slight smile, her eyes closing a bit. Isabella yawned, feeling exhausted all of a sudden.

Chris smiled sadly as Isabella yawned, feeling drained of all his happimess and energy. This was highly unusual for him, seeing as he was a strong optimist. Whatever, he should be fine after he got some sleep, and he would probably feel even better if Iaabella stayed besides him.

He shuffled over, resting his head on Isabella's chest; needing the comfort. His stomach felt as if it was going to split into to and burst. He sniffled, the morfine not yet kicking in, even though he was starting to get consused.

Chris would never cry in front of anyone under normal circumstances, but technically, these circumstances weren't normal. Chris felt weird, and confused, and not in his right mind. He was still shaken over the fact that Isabella almost died twice because of him.

Silent tears trailed down his cheeks, soaking Isabella's shirt. He closed his eyes, not being able to stop crying. He just wanted Isabella to tell him that everything was going to be alright.

Isabella was drifting off into sleep when sh suddenly felt something wet soaking into her shirt. Isabella's gray eyes fluttered open and she found Chris's head on her chest. Isabella played with his hair, her hands running through his dark curls.

"Chris? Are you okay?" Isabella asked him softly, looking down at him. Isabella blinked a few times and saw that Chris was crying. Isabella bit her lip, not knowing what to do really. Her father or stepmother never really comforted her when she cried. It was more like, "Suck it up." Isabella wiped away and smiled lightly.

"It's okay," Isabella said in a whisper.
