| The party was a way to fill the Hole. The Hole was always there, eating him up from the inside. It's appetite could be temporarily sated, but never banished completely. Perhaps the flames of tonight's bonfire would beat back it's advance a little further. His footsteps made barely a sound on the sand of the beach, the soft ground compressing lightly with each deliberate step. Everything about Cassius was deliberate, from his carefully styled hair to his impeccable clothing. A slovenly Cassius was a paradox this world had yet to witness. Already raucous shouts were flitting from the reddish haze ahead, and the crazy shadows of campers flickered eerily over the scene. A legion of goosebumps raised their heads on his bare forearms, coming to attention like an army hearing the sound of the General's bugle. If you weren't in the know, the scene seemed to be some ancient ritual practised by heathens in times gone by. The flames were getting closer now, rising up in his vision. Accompanying the sight was a wave of blessed heat, pushing the cold from his bones. The night was young, the air was sweet and opportunities abounded if you had but the courage to seize them. And Cassius was never lacking when it came to social occasions. Slipping elegantly onto the sand in front of two girls and a young man, who had patted his log briefly as Cassius arrived for some reason - perhaps he thought it was a pet? - Cassius nodded in greeting. "Cassius."No more needed to be said.

"Unnnggguuuhhh.. first comes kissing and then comes touching is more than I ever did with you Skye," I groaned, standing up and regaining my composure.
"Hm... maybe it is time for me to hit the road.. or sea for that matter," I said to myself before walking over to my bag. I could e one of those campers that comes back once a year and tells of his stories in the sea of monsters and fighting monsters all over the world. How awesome would that be? Dunno how to explain THAT to Skye or my friends, so I'm not gonna. I'll just disappear for a year after saying bye, train, fight some monsters, meet awesome foreign singles. Yeaaaahhhh... that sounds like a nice life to lead. Just need to make a trip to Camp, pick up some things, say goodbye to friends, go to an ATM and draw out some money, and get rolling.
"Well I'll be seeing ya next year. Have fun erryone!" I yelled to anyone who would listen and started to trudge off and towards New York. They might all think I'm joking but I'm not.

| Skye turned serious when he said that. "ROCK HIT YOU TOO HARD, I GUESS. GOOD LUCK GETTING SOMEBODY TO LOVE YOU, EX-FIANCÉE!" she yelled to him. "BY THE WAY, YOUR PERSONALITY NEEDS SOME WORK!"
She pulled her legs to her chest on the log and put her chin on her knees. She sighed, knowing he was doing what he wanted because he wanted to do it. He always made those stupid decisions, not being considerate to what other people thought.
If Jared died, she would be the one most torn about it. Julienne may have wanted to kiss him, but she knew him. She loved him. Sure, he was a pain in the behind, but he was her pain in the butt.

I frowned lightly as the dark shapes came closer... if you don't pass this email to ten people by ten minutes everything you love will- no, wrong, wrong, wrong, what on earth am I saying? Brace for socialization! All hands to battlestations- god, my thoughts were having a serious case of detuned radio at the moment. Damn attention deficiency, damn hyperactivity. I yanked out the rectangle of enchanted circuit wizardry (also known as my satellite media player), and afterwards from the same bronze-sheen omnipack came my custom headphones. Rubbing the familiar embossed designs on the reflective casings, I snapped the minijack neatly into the circular slot of the music player and deftly slipped the headphones over my head, resting the pads on my chilly ears. Then, with clear practiced ease, I navigated glowing menus in the firelight, selecting a nostalgically dreary electronica song by the M Machine.
Then I noticed that one of the dark shapes had isolated itself from the flickering shadows and had decided to make up its damn mind and become a female camper, who promptly sat down next to me. I glanced briefly over to her, and I saw the fire of the burning trashcan reflected in the light cerulean of her eyes. Awkwardly not knowing what to commence with, I mumbled a really soft "Hey..." that may or may not have been drowned out by the sound of a light breeze. Make that really-really-really-inaudible-soft. Well, that was excellent conversation skill demonstrated by me. No matter, though. The lyrics broke through my awkward-penguin haze-
I cannot be sure I see the future, in my head, in my head Why blame myself for all I need help for, in my head I cannot be sure I see the futu- I wasn't really surprised when she said something to me after the awkward pause, but I still jumped when her wavering voice broke through my dreamy haze. I was about to open my mouth to respond, before the water girl cabin leader punched my arm from somewhere behind me, laughing hysterically. I took the moment to slide my headphones off my head onto my neck, and I prepared to turn around and beg for mercy from the eviiiil cabin leader. In my mind's eye, I said "Oh, great Poseidon leader! You are wise and beautiful, not to mention ferocious, rawr rawr! Please spare me from your spinecracking waves!" as I turned towards the source of the incessant punching.
Well, that was when I realized she was attempting to direct my attention towards the fallen couple. She seemed giddy, inebriated, INSOVIETRUSSIAVODKADRINKYOU. And just when I was about to respond to that... some guy just strolls up to us, obviously a camper, and announces his name, or as I imagined him as with my remarkably snarky imagination, pointing to himself going "HURR DURR CASSIUS!" Wel...p. Not sure if mentally incapable of vocalizing more thoroughly, or my favorite kind of personality, concise, and to the point?
And then... there was shouting.

| In the middle of a gun fight, In the center of a restaurant, They say... come with your arms raised high, But they're never gonna get me, And like a bullet through a flock of doves What a stupid little girl who knows nothing about the world.
Whatever, who gives a care about her. Julienne grabbed her shirt and put it back on, but put her shoes into her bag. Her feet felt comfortable against the sand, they seemed to be softer. She flipped her wet hair over her shoulder and walked over to Skye. She raised her hand used her pointing finger to jab Skye in the chest.
"You. Are. One. Stupid. Little. Girl. You. Are Insane," Julienne said, jabbing Skye in the chest with each syllable. "You obviously need anger management classes to focus yourself and ignore the things that happen around you. It would do a lot for your health," she added smugly. Julienne walked away before she could respond and got her pack of cigarettes. She smoked one seductively, enjoying the intoxicating smell.
, To wage this war against your faith... in me... You're life will never be the same On your mother's eyes say a prayer Say a prayer...

| Did she do that? Well she did. Faster than even Skye could comprehend, she had pulled out her dagger and pointed it under Julienne's chin. "Look, grandma. You may think you're the queen of England, but I am not stupid. Obviously smarter than you because I don't throw myself at other men's feet, like you do," she said. She dug the dagger a little deeper, but not drawing blood yet.
Satisfied, she took the cigarette from Julienne, took a drag, and tossed the rest in the bonfire.
She sat back in her seat, still holding her slightly glowing celestial bronze knife.

| Ray • Parks Ray watched as the event enfolded in front of her eyes. Ray know she really shouldn't get involved; it wasn't her problem. But, Ray was itching to say something. Ray brushed a loose strand of her blond hair behind her ear. Ray sighed a bit as the Posiden CL put the dagger under the blond girl's throat.
"I don't think the Posiden girl over here is stupid," Ray said suddenly, voicing her voice. Ray wasn't really scared of any of these girls. "Why would you wanna challenge a Posiden girl near the water Blondie? Oh yeah, that's smart," Ray muttered under her breath, but loud enough for everyone to hear. Ray took another sip of her soda, turning back to Andy, not caring what the two girls were going to do anymore. They could kill each other for all Ray cared.
"I'm Raiden...Uh, Ray," Ray told Andy, hoping to just start a normal conversation with someone.

| .:Got a secret Can you keep it? Swear this one you'll save Better lock it, in your pocket Taking this one to the grave:.Kara arrived in Miami a few hours ago, but decided to stroll around the city. She enjoyed it and found it rather... nice. At least, from what she had seen of it so far. She had recalled looking at her watch and noticing that it was about time to get to the beach. She had seen the group, but had felt a bit uncomfortable and decided to show up a bit later. After wandering off to wherever for no apparent reason, she realized that she was lost, and tried to retrace her steps. Getting rather frustrated that she had gotten lost so easily and muttered a few curses to herself before feeling the heat of a fire; she flinched. Sighing, glad that she had finally found her way back to well... where other people were, she walked in on the same girls from the kissing booth in another cat fight, her half-brother walking in the distance, and most importantly, blood... 血. 彼女は出血していた。(Translation: She was bleeding) Kara bit her lip nervously, looking away from the horrible scene and sitting down at a log, regretting that she even bothered to show up. Groups weren't her thing, she preferred 2-3 people, or a huge crowd of people, but anything in between made her uncomfortable. She was like that and there was no changing it. .:If I show you then I know you Won't tell what I said Cause two can keep a secret If one of them is dead:. Note: Even though Selene's charrie may not be bleeding yet, my charrie's imagining it, and I'm sorry for the extreemly crappy post, but I need to restart my muse xD | |

When the water girl ever-so-eloquently threatened the other airhead girl (Yes, I am most definitely not presenting my perspective on this aggression with bias, nope.), I felt like throwing my hands in the air and yelling, "Ooooooh! Burn! Burn! Burn! Burn!" Except that was the ADHD talking, and I have most assuredly rekindled some self-control since I was... ten years old. Unlike some of these people performing their rendition of the imaginary play "Water Girl and Airhead Girl Fight For Some Guy I Barely Know On a Beach And Both Get Very Angry!" Definitely not Shakespearean literature right there, I could tell you that. Although externally I frowned, because it could get too violent and then I'd have to get up and restrain people. Not cool. Literally, being a heat user... my jokes were becoming more and more self-amusing.
Returning from my position in observing what the rivaling girls were up to, I spun on my seat in an exaggerated motion, and the contrast of the glow of the fire and the pale glow of the moonlight illuminated beach blinded me momentarily. Closing my eyes briefly to accelerate the return of my night vision, I answered the girl to my right, "Err- um... hello, Ray!" Oh, the social adorableness that was so characteristic of me had returned. Oh yes, another joke. My best humour was wasted on conversations between my left and right brain.
Just then, I noticed that someone else had entered the general proximity of our bonfire. The shadows again relinquished their somber hold on the figure before she seemed to burst into my sight. Kara? Was that her? With a groan of relief, I greeted her, consequences of mistaken identity be damned. "Kara!"
