Back home (Pip and others)

Summer stepped through the door of the now-quiet cabin. "I'm back." She whispered loudly.
"Summer!" Autumn screamed with joy as she ran to greet her twin.
"Autumn!" Summer hugged her tightly. "This is my new friend." Summer gestured behind her.
Immediately Autumn took on a guarded look.
"Hello." She replied warily.

I don't know if she can call me her friend. I mean, all I did was help her back to her cabin. Aw well, I guess I had better let the younger kids have fun.

"Oh, I'm Mellie. Nice to meet you, I guess."

Well, I was a little happy that this blind girl, Summer, found me instead of her sister. Her sister would have seen under my eyepatch, and would have told the whole camp! I've kept that skeleton in my closet for a while, and hopefully, no one would ever look there.

"Thank you so much Mellie for bringing her home!" Autumn smiled. "I was about to go out and look for her again."
"I was perfectly safe." Summer told her sister. "Thanks again Millie!!"
Summer gave Mellie a quick hug then took hold of her sisters belt loop. The hug was probably lopsided, but at least she hasn't missed.
Autumn and Summer yawned at the same time, then giggled histerically.

I shook my head. "No-it's Mellie, with an 'e' not Millie with an 'i'."

Gods, I hated it when other people said my name wrong. Maybe it was because my mother was always mad when other people did, oh well.

"And don't worry, it wasn't that big of a deal." And it wasn't, all I did was bring a birl back to her cabin.

"Still! Thank you." Summer insisted.
"I'll have to tie you the bed so you don't wander off again!" Autumn poked Summer and laughed. Then, serious, "Thanks for bringing my sister home."
Autumn hen guided Summer to their bunk beds, Summer immediately flopping down when she felt the bed. Autumn climbed up to the top bunk.

I watched as the girls climbed into bed. Guess I had better leave, and I did. I left without a word. Like a ninja, my brother, Alex would have said something like that. I really missed him sometimes. I poked my head back into the Apollo cabin.

"Look, I normally don't do this, but you too need to stick together. You never realize what you have until it's gone."
And with that adivce, I left.

"We always stick together..." Autumn murmured, half asleep. Then she rolled over.
"Mmhm" Summer agreed sleepily. Soon she'd nearly forgotten all about the nights adventure, just dreaming, like the kid she was.
