Russian and his dog...in a forrest.

Dimitri walked into the forrest with Vjyuga. Vjyuga loved it and with a sharp whistle from his master the dog ran into the forrest and began jumping and chasing things. Dimitri sat down and watched his dog chase various animals and just have fun being a dog. How fun it must be being a dog.

Alaina sat quietly in the tree tops. It was a secret obsession of her, to watch people as if they were prey. Her eyes locked onto one and she jumped from one branch to the other with such agility that no sound could be heard from her movements.

Deciding she'd like to play with her prey, she broke a tiny twig off the branch and threw it at a nearby tree which bounced off and hit Dimitri on the head.

Dimitri was hit in the head by a twig. He looked around and smiled someone had just done something very few had the nerve to do. Dimitri whistled to Vjyuga and motioned to the twig. It was a weak scent but it was strong enough for a hunting dog like Vjyuga the dog rested under a tree and barked. Dimitri approached and looked up and shouted.

"Hello? I promise I wont destroy you if you come down."

Alaina cursed under her breath as the dog found the tree she was sitting on. Moving carefully, she spotted a larger branch above and jumped up grabbing it with both hands. Swinging herself forwards, backwards and forwards again, she flipped upwards and sat on the branch with both feet. Leaping forward, she grabbed onto the branch of the next tree, and then the next after that.

She smiled knowing that he couldn't see her from the cover of the leaves.

'Let's see how good you are at hunting,' she thought as she now became the prey instead of the predator.

Dimitri smiled as he heard braches moving and leaves rustling in the trees. The person was moving and he was gonna find 'em. Dimitri immeadiately began to climb the best he could and he eventually got to a sufficient height and he looked and saw the person. He couldn't see who it was so he jumped to the next branch not nearly as agile as this person was but he tried.

Alaina's eyes widened as he climbed. She was surprised, and impressed at a feat for such a large person. With a sly smile, she climbed ever higher at the tree until she reached the top.

Hanging on to the top branch, she looked down at Dimitri and waited. She wanted to see how far he could go up. Though he was hunting her, she had the upper hand. He was in her territory now.

Dimitri stopped and collected his bearings and his breath. This wasn't going well he didn't climb it wasn't his thing but he never backed down from a challenge. Dimitri began scaling the tree and once he'd finally got to the top he was crimson red and his voice showed he was tired.

"Oi...You not going to lose me that easy."

Alaina didn't move. She wanted to see if he could do it. When he got to the top, she was there waiting for him. With her legs hanging over the branch, she crossed her arms.

"Took you long enough," she said perfectly balanced on the tiny limb.

Dimitri's smile suddenly appeared as he saw it was Alaina and he sat on a thick branch.

"Well I'm happy it's you and not someone else because they might have to take along time to clear the body up."

Dimitri sat on the brach holding on with his legs and his arm. He was not going to fall off this tree infact if he can help it he's not going to move on this tree.

Alaina laughed at how he hugged onto the brach. "Are you okay there?" she asked.

"You need to relax. The more afraid you are, the more likely you'll fall because you'll shake more," Alaina said with her feet swinging back and forth. She looked up at the sky, she was much higher up in elevation now, but the sky seemed just as far away as it did when she was on the ground.

Staring around at some birds, she wish she could fly like them. Her hands reached up at the sky, forgetting that she was a 40 feet off the ground.

Dimitri was sure Aliana was going to fall, he just sort of felt it and he moved quicker than he should of been able to he moved onto her branch and made sure she didn't fall.

"I think you were just acting like that so I move close to you."

Dimitri knew he was probably being paranoid about her falling but he wanted to make sure she didn't. He cared for this girl.

Putting her arms down she looked at Dimitri with fear in her eyes.
"Dimitri!" she screamed, "This branch can't hold us both!" And with her last words, the tiny branch popped once, twice and then broke. Alaina screamed as her hands flew up trying to grab onto something, anything as they both fell.

Her leg hit a branch and set her falling down sideways. As she fell she saw a large branch below her and before she could reach for anything else, she collided with it against her chest knocking the wind out of her. Unable to hold on to it, she continued to fall.

Her fingers grasped a twig full of leaves that held her weight, stopping her fall.

"Dimitri!" she yelled out looking down to see where he was.

Dimitri realised his mistake as he fell. Dimitri smashed into a branched about the thickness of his arm and it smacked him in the chest and he heard a cracking sound but he continued to pin ball down hitting another and another and another before he collided with the hard earth. Dimitri's body lay motionless on the floor, his arm bed backwards and his face in the dirt. Vjyuga bounded to his master and howled.

Not finding him, she leg go of the leaves and landed less than gracefully on the branch below her. Jumping from branch to branch, with a leg that seemed fractured but not broken and chest that screamed in pain, she finally made it to the ground.

"Oh Gods! Dimitri!" she said limping towards him as fast as she could. She didn't want to turn him over just in case he had something broken and she didn't want to make it worse.

"Dimitri please wake up," she said shaking him gently.

Dimitri's body lay there still and barely moved when Aliana shook him. Vjyuga howled again and nuzzled up close to Alaina. Dimitri was out cold.

Dimitri ran for his life Vjyuga in arms and the dog just got closer and closer. Dimitri span around and dropped his dog and pulled out his knife but the dog lunged to fast and began tearing into his arm and

Dimitri groaned but he couldn't move but a few words could be made out inbetween his moans of pain.

"So..you do care"

"Dimitri! You're alive!" she exclaimed throwing herself on top of him and then suddenly jumping back, "Oh! I'm so sorry!" She'd realized that probably hurt him, he just fell 40 feet and was still alive, though probably with a few things broken.

"Can you move?" she asked softly not wanting to push him. He should probably go to the infirmary. A fall like that should have killed him.

Dimitri couldn't move his good arm but with the other be pushed and pushed and his legs tried to get up. After many tries and cursed words he got up but immeadiately fell down to his knees. His legs hurt, his chest, his head and just about everything else hurt but he tried agains and quickly grabbed onto the tree and said

"I'm fine. I can do this."

But as to spite his words a trickle of blood fell down his face tracing a line from his hair down to the corner of his eye and down.

Alaina bent down under him and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. Using each other for support, she took one step after another.

"I'm really sorry, Dimitri," she said. "I shouldn't have played around like that. Sometimes I just don't know when to quit."

His weight was falling on her and more and with each step she held herself up, pushing farther. She had a lot more strength in her, she knew it. But the pain on her leg and chest were starting to break her, and her breathing became more and more labored.
What good was it to be a demi-god and not be able to over come pain?
She sighed, she should be thankful. Afterall, no mere mortal could survive such a fall.

Dimitri kept his arm around her but tried to help her stay up. Dimitri's breathing became heavier but he turned to her and said.

"Don't blame yourself. I'm the one who made us fall."

Dimitri moved with Aliana and turned his head to her

"You know I really like you? I..would of made a deal with Hades to come back for you."

Was it that bump on Dimitri's head that made his say that? He wasn't sure but he thought he meant it infact he knew he meant it.

Alaina stopped in her tracks for just a step before moving forward again. She wasn't sure exactly where this was going, actually she did. And that's what scared her the most.

"You hit the ground pretty hard, Dimitri," she said adjusting his arm on her shoulder as they walked. She figured the camp was just half a mile away, maybe less.

"Maybe knocked a few screw loose up there?" she asked with a laugh.

Dimitri grinned and replied

"No..No..I did hit the ground hard but no screws were knocked loose infact a few might of been knocked in."

Dimitri said this as he and Alaina hobbled towards camp and Vjyuga walked while looking up at his master.

Alaina's leg gave way to his weight as they reached the door to the infirmary. On the ground, she looked down at her leg. She was sure she'd fractured it, but now it seemed much worse from the walk. So much so that she couldn't even feel it all.

"Looks like we won't be doing any physical activities in a while," she said with a sad smile.
"But you'll feel better soon, and you'll stop saying crazy things."

Dimitri smiled and looked at his arm it was broken alright and he was sure he'd cracked a few ribs but for now he didn't care. Dimitri leaned towards Alaina his lips just an inch from hers.

"I'm not saying crazy things. I think this is the truth."

Dimitri was sure this girl would be the end of him someway or the other but he didn't care this hit on the head may of been just the thing he needed to say what he really thought and felt.

Alaina bit down on her bottom lip as she leaned up towards him, her lips touching against his just slightly.
Then all at once people came out of the infirmary and began to help her standup before one of them picked her up completely and rushed her in. So many people started to speak and some were asking her questions, but she couldn't really hear anything they were saying.
Her eyes were still locked on Dimitri as they took them to seperate rooms.
Before she could even get a word out to him, the door closed and she was put on a bed. A needle stuck in her arm and she heard a voice say count to 20. By the time she reached the number three she was fast asleep.

Dimitri was wisked off to a room and they attempted to put him on the bed but Dimitri just got on himself and they put a needle in his arm and he began to count. He got to 7 and began to feel sleepy and finally slept his mind focused on one person. That person, Alaina when he thought of her the bad dreams he usually had didn't appear only good dreams.
