| Down! Here Comes The Sound! Everybody Pound Your Feet...Shane Gulliver Clifton"Oh! Oh! It works!" I exclaimed in joy as I soared through the air over Camp Half Blood.
Well, let's recount shall we? It was almost a week ago that I had this idea. Or a vision...? An idea to make myself a magic steed I forged with my own bare hands. I made up a design in two days and started to build. Last night I had finished my creation along with redesigning my cabin. This was the creation. I call it, the S.T.E.E.D. Mark 1. It's basically a small plane that I barely fit into, and there's no top, and etc.
"WOOOOHOOOO!" I screamed, putting my hands in the air.
Then, a sput-sput-sput sound filled the air. My eyes widened with fear.
"Uh oh," I murmured before the flying machine started to barrel towards the ground. I tried to scream but my lungs filled with air. I grabbed the joystick controlling the plane and started to pull upwards with all my might. The joystick didn't do anything, but my sudden jerk upward made the nose of the plane go forward. I tried to sigh in relief, but once again I was interrupted.
The plane smashed into the basketball court, flinging me into the grass next to it. I lay there for a minute and sat up suddenly.
"ALIVE!" I yelled to myself.

| Opal Perry Iris
Opal could have expected the weirdest of things to happen that day an still would have never thought of an airplane crashing only a few geet away from her. It wasn't ad much weird as a bit frightening. Pf course it had scared her for a quick moment, if something twice the size of a grown person was falling only feet from you, it had to be a moment when your life flashed before your eyes. Opal had no intentions of dying anytime soon. Instead of really freaking out, like she had thought she might have done, she simply placed the ball down at the foul line and tyrned towards the guy who had climbed out of the odd flying vehicle.
"Great to see you're okay," Opal said, crossing her arms and placing out her words lightly. She stood a bit away from the wreckage looking at the chances that it might explode. She didn't know muh about that type of stuff, but the chances of an explosion happening, seemed slim to her, so she relaxed a bit. "You didn't hit anyone else in the process though did you? I could have sworn that you came threateningly close to actually hitting the court."
In Opal's own, little twisted way, her statement was really a thanks. A thanks that read entirely, 'Thanks a bunch for not hitting me with your flying object! I like my head, glad to know now that it is perfectly safe from all harm!' Sarcasm is greatly implied. | |
