I jumped up as I said, "Yes! I'll get a guitar!" I found one almost immediately. I tried to think of a good duet I could play. "Know any good duets?" I asked Ashleigh.

I snapped my fingers and smiled. "Of course! How could i not think of that one!" i tuned the guitar quickly, and tried out a few notes. After, I looked at Asleigh. "Ready? Casue the girl part starts," I said.

Ashleigh smiled and listened to Archer play the rhythm on his guitar. She tapped her fingers on her jeans to the beat, sure not to lose it. Ashleigh tried to remember how the song went. She hadn't listened to that song in a while. She took a breath and started,
"Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor
Reachin' for the phone 'cause I can't fight it anymore" Ashleigh sang softly, closing her eyes. She felt stupid hearing herself sing for the first time in a while. To her relief it sounded better than when she was five.
"And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time" Ashleigh continued. Then it was time for the chorus. She couldn't remember if both of them sang that part or not... oh well.
"It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now
Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now" She said, holding the last note.

I smiled so wide, my face felt as if it would split. She was amazing, probably better than me. I kept playing as I started to sing.

Then came the chorus where we both sang.

Ashleigh's smile widened. Archer was a good singer, better than her. She sang the chorus along with him, keeping the steady beat on her jeans. "I guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothing at all..." Ashleigh sang. Then the chorus would be sung one more time, then a finish.

We finished, and I put the guitar down softly. I sat criss-cross on the stage, and sighed. "You were great," I said, grabbing her hand. This was probably the best day of my life.

Ashleigh smiled and blushed a crimson color. "So were you." she said with another smile. Ashleigh sat down beside him, letting her legs dangle off the stage. She let her head rest on his shoulder and sighed contently. Best, Day. Ever. "You never told me you sang, or played guitar so well." Ashleigh said looking up at him.

I shrugged softly. "It's not something I usually show people. I mean, guitar maybe. But the singing, no. My brother had sang a lot, and I learned from him. Well, before he started using drugs," I said. The last part I had said quietly, because it wasn't something I was proud of.

Ashleigh smiled softly and squeezed his hand. She didn't feel like saying anything would be good right now. So, she listened to the wind. Ashleigh could tell it had picked up since when they first ran here from the fog. It must've been snowing, because she could see the white flakes descending from the sky.Ashleigh took another look at him and she smiled.

Ashleigh grabbed her camera and took a picture of him. The flash was off, so it wouldn't hurt Archer's eyes like last time. She smiled and pulled up the picture for him to see. "ta da!" Ashleigh said, showing him the picture.

I laughed and took the picture. It was dark, but my face was still visable. I had a sad expression that seemed lightened a bit. "Here," I said, handing it to Ashleigh. "Take it. It may be the only picture where I actually seem sad." I smiled at Ashleigh. I was never sad until I talked about my brother.

Ashleigh frowned at the picture. "I don't want to see you sad." she said. She looked up at him and poked his cheeks into a smile. "There." Ashleigh said with a smile. She pulled her camera up to her face and snapped a picture with a grin. She set it down after the flash and nodded to herself. The demigod then handed it to Archer. "See? Much better." she said with a smile.
