New Girl (OPEN)

Subject: New Girl (OPEN) Sun Jan 01, 2012 11:24 pm

Sienna waltzed through the front door of Cabin 10 and stopped, elegantly poised, in roughly the middle of the room to survey her new home. The first thing she noticed was the smell. It was a strange mix of numerous perfumes that somehow smelt pleasant when combined. I'll never have to wear perfume again, Sienna thought with a small smirk, I could just stay in here for a few minutes and let it soak in. She let the smirk fade as she regarded the rest of the cabin. It was very neat and tidy, just the way Sienna liked it. There were plenty of mirrors, a bathroom and numerous bunk beds. Sienna focused her attention on them, wondering which ones were free. Hopefully one of her siblings would tell or show her.

I noticed someone just came in. I was lying on my bed reading a book entitled Looking through the glass of Alice in Wonderland. I felt happy to see a new face around. To break this so called Aphrodite-sickness I call, because some siblings of mine are hard to talk too, some even needs to be bribed before you can talk to them and some are just hard to reach out. So I closed my book and placed it above the trunk in front of my bed. I stood up and went near the girl. She looked very much like us, no doubts she's a kid of Aphrodite. "Hi." I say to her. "Welcome to Cabin 10." I told her in my warmest welcome.

"Hi." Sienna said brightly. She was relieved that someone was finally talking to her, maybe they could show her around. "I was just wondering which beds were free." She informed the girl. "Oh, and my name's Sienna. What's yours?"

Isabelle giggled. "Nice to meet you, I'm Cherin Isabelle but you can call me any of the two." I say to her. "There are actually a lot of empty beds around. Feel free to find one. Empty beds are usually those trunks with no names yet." I tell her. "Don't worry, our cabin leader's nice. But she's not around right now." I smiled.

"Thanks." Sienna said vaguely as she surveyed the trunks. Finally she found a bed without a named trunk near it. She dumped her stuff onto it but didn't unpack it. She could do that later. First she had to figure how she was going to organise her clothes. "How come our cabin leader isn't around right now?" she asked curiously.

"Oh, she's probably busy somewhere." I say to Sienna. "You know, cabin leader stuff those checking of other cabins, head counting us, or other more." Isabelle sat on another bunk that's empty just beside Sienna's bed. "I hope you enjoy your stay here." I tell her. "So how was life before camp?" I asked excitingly.

"It wasn't very interesting." Sienna said. "My father never really had time for me so I often spent my nights alone. Unless I was going out with my friends of course." Sienna frowned as she remembered those lonely years. Gods they'd been boring. Her life was much more interesting now. "What was your life like?" she asked, keeping the conservsation going. Sienna had nothing else to do so she might as well socialise with her half-siblings.

I skipped into my cabin, a smile on my face. I breathed in deeply. I loved the smell in here. I noticed to girls standing in the middle of the cabin. I skipped over to them. "Hi! I'm Lily. I'm seven." I announce, twirling a peice of my hair on my finger. I studied the girls with my big eyes. They looked nice, but you could never be too sure. I'd learned that while living on the streets. You could never be too cautious. It was a rule of life.

While Sienna was waiting for Isabelle to answer my question another one of her siblings skipped into the room. "Hi." Sienna said, smiling at the little girl. "My name's Sienna and I'm 16." While she was saying this the Lily was studying them almost warily. Why would she do that? Sienna asked herself. It must be something to do with past experiences. Yes, Sienna nodded mentally, but what those were she didn't really care. She wasn't going to pry into Lily's history.

I smiled to our sibling who just walked in. "Hi nice meeting you, I'm Isabelle, I'm 16 too." I say to her. I know the reason why she looked at us warily. Its because a lot of out siblings are snob, to some you got to buy your way just to talk to them. So I understand sweet Lily. "Don't worry I know what's bothering you. We're not like you know what it is." I smiled to her. "Cookies?" I stood up, went to my trunk and took out a jar of cookies. "I made them myself." I offered to Sienna too.

Sienna frowned in confusion. She had absolutely no idea what Isabelle was talking about. Oh well, she'd hadn't been here long so that wasn't a surprise. She smiled at Lily and Isablle as she accepted a cookie. "Mmmm!" she exclaimed. "these are delicious. And you made them yourself?" Sienna had absolutely no idea how some people could do that. Bake something that tastes so good, grow something that looks amazing. She couldn't do anything like that. She didn't really care though.

I smiled at Isabelle. She thought she knew what was bothering me, but she didn't. I was perfectly fine wtih snobs living in this Cabin. I didn't care. All I cared about was if they were going to poison something, or kidnap me. Other than that I was fine.
I didn't take one of the cookies. Who knew what she had put in them. The other girl, Sienna, took a cookie. I prepared to scream if she fell, but she didn't. I decided that the cookies should be safe. I reached up and took a cookie. I cautisouly brought it to my lips and nibbled off a piece. They were delicous. I took a bite, and another, and another, and before I knew it, the cookie was gone.
"Can I have another?" I ask, looking up at Isabelle.

Sienna smiled at the other girl, Layla. "My name's Sienna and I'm 16." she told her. It was strange. Apparantely her brothers and sisters were meant to be snobs to everyone, but she hadn't met anyone like that yet. She kept expecting to but she never did. Not that Sienna was complaining or anything. It was better if she didn't meet the snobs.

"Sure!" I tell Lily. "Is there something bothering you?" I asked her. Then Layla came. "Hey, Layla. Cookie?" I say smiling. "Yey! We're like four. It gives me tingly feeling inside." I giggled. Well I haven't felt this good lately unlike before with Ali who was a total snob and a bit auh? something when I talk to her. Isn't it nicer if Aphrodite children are all easy to talk to and not so mean girl all the time.

Sienna snorted with laughter. It was probably very un-lady-like so she stopped almost immediately. She took another cookie that Isabelle had made. They were so delicious! She was going to get fat if she kept eating them. Sienna pledged to herself that this would be her last cookie. She was not going to get fat, that was essential.

I giggled. "Weight?" I giggled some more. "Well, I don't mind my weight. I don't even care." I laughed. I placed the jar on a table so its accessible to everyone. "So, how was life before camp?" I asked everyone. I'm such a nosy one, well being a host and journalist is one of my dreams anyway.

Sienna smiled wryly. "You already asked me that." she reminded Isabelle. "And I already told you. If I remeber correctly I was asking how your life was." It struck Sienna that Isabelle might be a tad forgetful. Or maybe this was just a one off thing.

"You did?" I asked as I scratched my head. "Oh yes I remembered." I say like a light bulb just light above my head. The words she told me popped out in my mind. "Well at least you had a good past, I mean. Mine wasn't so great actually. I have a nanny, she loved me so much because since I was a baby she took care of me. Well, my dad he remarried after mom left. Surely he married someone who looked like her, I mean same features, blue eyes, blond hair, and we live under one roof. Eventually, my step mom abused me whenever dad's gone when I was like 7 then she stopped abusing me at during 13 but then she let me work at her diner." I rolled my eyes. "But then my powers started to work at that age, then our house was once attacked by a chimera, all of them except my nanny say that it was my fault. My half sisters also hate me..." I say as I reminisce some memories. "Then that's how I end up here. A satyr spotted me then he brought me here. Well, my nanny she comes to visit at times to see me." I say. "Sorry, I really talk a lot."

"That's okay." Sienna said easily. "I don't really care if you talk a lot." She was relieved to find that she didn't have the worst history. She thought back to the last time she had visited her dad her dad. It had gone very well, not one phone call had interrupted them. She smiled at the memory. "So," she said "does it always smell like perfume in here?"

I smiled. "Yes." I giggled as I nod my head gently. "I love the smell here. But believe it or not I'm not really a fan of Chanel no.5" I say to her. "My head aches whenever I smell it from our other sibling." I sat on the edge of the empty bed I was sitting moments ago.

Sienna gasped dramatically. "How can you not like Chanel No.5?" she asked, her face a mask of overly-dramatic horror. "Shame on you. What would our mother think?" Sienna loved being dramatic. It was really fun, plus she was quite good at it. She was always being called a drama queen, only jokingly though.

Isabelle gasped then giggled. "The smell is too strong for me. I like scents that are mild like DKNY the pink one the apple scent, or the kenzo flower I'm very obsess with the smell of that, Bvlgari omnia, Issey Miyaki is one good perfume, Cherie Dior is also okay. Chanel no.5 doesn't work for me, maybe no.7 would do?" I giggled and laughed.

Sienna grinned. "Mind you, I shouldn't be criticizing." she confessed. "i don't wear perfume at all. I'll never have to, now that I'm here, though. I could just stay here for a few minutes and let all the perfumes soak in." It was a pretty good plan actually.

I giggled. "I guess you're one pretty smart girl." I smiled. "Many of us do that, in fact sometime I do that. Here at camp everyone knows this smell, everyone is particular with this scent." I giggled. "When someone comes in the scent actually sticks, that's why when you meet someone and smell you they'll ask, hey are you a kid of Aphrodite?" I laughed. "It's the only thing we all are known to agree on and our other siblings don't care if we all smell like this, I mean its our identity." I smiled.
