We haven't really been counting the Cannons as an extra character slot because of the selective process that we go through and the standards we hold the cannon players at. If you receive a cannon, it's because you've earned the right to have one. And that right comes with them not counting towards your character count because we, as the staff, believe that you have proven yourself enough to have those extra characters.
Though, if that starts to be a problem, that may change. But for now, they remain as their own count entirely.
