| RUBY IMOGEN McLAGGEN![* saying goodbye [open] El4i9y](https://2img.net/h/oi52.tinypic.com/el4i9y.png) Brushing back her hair Ruby stood in the middle of her Cabin with silent teardrops sitting in her eyes. Her green and now speckled with purple eye's looked around her Cabin, it had been her home for a solid three years and now she was leaving for the Huntress Camp. Something she'd always wanted but never gotten the nerve to do until Lady Artemis had arrived in Camp Half-Blood. She'd gone over and pledged herself not long ago and was still wearing the same things. She was dressed in a copy of a Peplos that coloured a soft shade of pink. Around her neck was a simple necklace with a single heart-shaped diamond pendant hanging between her breasts. Normally she wouldn't wear heels but in cases like these where she would meet the Goddess formally she'd slipped into some simple silver high-heels that left most of her feet exposed anyway and was just laced up and tied to make sure it didn't fall of somewhere below her knees under her robes. Even with the extra height her dress brushed the floor.
A tear that was tinted black from her mascara rolled down her cheek, just a single one as she turned around and started towards the door. She was going to leave and never come back, when she'd pledged it had been such a good idea but once she got round to it she realized how much it would hurt, she'd still look 17 when her parents were dead, she'd outlive anyone she'd ever known. The only friends she could make without causing herself heartache later on were other Huntresses because they were frozen along side her.

| cali walked into her cabin seeing Ruby getting read to leave. "Ruby!" she called out to her. "Don't go. Do you really wanna be a Huntress? I don't understand. Why would you give up your life to that. I just think that's... worthless." Cali shook her head. She thought the whole Huntress process was stupid. Stupid, stupid, stupid. She could imagine what it was like to give up men and become immortal and loose all your friends... All your sisters. Cali didn't wanna loose Ruby.

| RUBY IMOGEN McLAGGEN Ruby sniffled and brushed the tears out of her eyes and moved towards Cali and hugged her, "I've been hurt once too many by boys and I'll be fine, I want this, I promise," she whispered as she let go after a while. She was shorter than Cali but if she stood on her toes she could rest her chin on her shoulder if she hugged her, unless she was wearing heels. Like now. She took as step back and brushed through her hair and looked around again with sad eyes. No, stop it! she thought, I want this, I truly want this. She looked at her bags, there were two filled with everything she had. Except her quiver and bow. She looked around with a quizzical look on her face and then back to Cali, "Cali, babe, have you seen my bow and quiver with the new arrows I just got from that sweet Hephaestus boy, the twelve year old?" she said calmly not suspecting anyone except her own tardiness.

| cali looked away for a moment. She really didn't want Ruby to leave. She couldn't stand the loss of a sister. At least this wasn't Cadil. Cadil had went to spend time with their father in England since he was sick. Cali sent her condolences, because she had cabin duties to go to. But if Cali lost Cadil to something like this, she wouldn't be able to live with herself. They complete each other. They are both Gemini's; it's only right that they complete each other. Cali registered Ruby's question. "No, I haven't seen your bow and quiver. Do you know what color it is?" Cali asked. She pushed down her pleated dress skirt. She loved old fashioned clothes; it was her life. | |

| RUBY IMOGEN McLAGGEN Ruby smiled and hugged her again on impulse, "Its white, like the snow remember?" she said simply. Cali knew her bow surely! She'd shown the beautifully carved white wood bow with the incrusted rubies that shimmered in the sun and in the dark. She located her quiver and walked over and picked it up, tossing it over her shoulder and slipping her head and arm through she pulled her caught hair out. She turned around and studied the Cabin for her bow, "Please help me find it, the longer I stay the harder it is on me," she whispered to Cali her voice breaking slightly.
