Alex's Bunk

Alex walked up to cabin 10 and stopped as the strong scent of perfume came into his nose. He hated make-up and perfume, and wondered why people cant just go with their natural beauty. As he opened the door to the cabin and looked in seeing the wide variety of kids and the cabins style. Everyone looked happy, and the cabin looked neat and organized. The room and the kids reminded him of his mother, it made him quiet emotional as he thought of her. He then headed over to a empty bunk and started to unpack, thinking to himself "What have i got myself into?"

"Hi, I'm Hannah! Are you new here? Well, that was a dumb question cause clearly you are. Well, anyway, Want me to show you around camp? I could be your personal tour guide for the next few days, if you want me to be...." I has hoping he would say yes, i have always wanted to help out a new camper and i have not gotten the oppertunity to yet.

Alex turned around finishing packing and smiled beautifully at the girl. "Yes id really appreciate it....." Alex was a bit nervous and un-comfortable because it was his first time in here. "Oh and my name is Alex, guess than you'd be my half sister, nice to meet you." Hannah would find his voice peaceful and loving as he speaks.

Layla had her headphones on and was watching as the boy was unpacking. She took off her headphones, leaned over the top bunk and said "My name is Layla. I'm 15. How old are you? Maybe we could be friends." She had a bright smile on her face to show that she is friendly.

Alex loooked up at her and said "Nice to meet you my names Alex and im 14." He started to feel more comfortable with the enviorment as he talked with the girls in the cabin. He then let out a little laugh asking Layla "Am I aphrodites only son in here?"

"No." Layla said. Layla went to her bag and pulled out a small gift. Layla kept it in her bag untill someone new came. So she decided to give it to him. It was just a hat. A plain tan hat with a white strap that went around it. She figured it would look cute on him.

Alex took the hat gently smiling and placed it on his head. He turned to the nearest mirror and nodded as if to say perfect. He then turned around and gave Layla a hug and said "Thanks."

"Your welcome." She said giving him a hug back. After the hug she went to her bunk to sit. "What weapon do you want to use when your fighting? She asked.

Shaylei looked at the new guy in intrest and as Hannah and Layla surrounded him."Give him a chance to breathe Girls." Shay stood brushing her red orange hair from her face.It was inverse braided down her neck the thin long scar very noticeable. She wore a pair of dark Silver jeans and a striped Hollister long sleeved shirt.Shay wore no make-up as usual she smiled at them. "Shaylei Coal very nice to meet you Alex." Shaylei liked to welcome the campers but very rarely did she make acquaintance with them.

Alex looked at Layla on her bunk an said "Well im not really a good fighter, though i guess i would use a sword." Alex was becoming friends with Layla and he knew they were very much alike. He then turned around looking at Shaylei she was pretty, and surprsingley she wasent wearing makeup. Alex said to her "Nice to meet you too and dont worry were all family in here so no harm done." He said. He then took a seat on his bunk looking around. "Pink was never my color, but looks like i have to get used to it." He said.

Shaylei smiled. "Don't feel bad Alex pink isn't my colour either and choking amounts of perfume or well anything girly."She grinned "but here I am a child of Aphrodite!"Laughing she brushed her bangs from her face knowing they needed to be cut. "But don't worry you will get used to it. It's not too bad after a week or so."She smiled lightly. "Great meeting you Alex and I bet you'll be fine with the weapon part of this! You do want to live right?"She was only joking but it wasn't a very nice joke clearly.

" I don't like the color pink either. I like neon green and a light blue. " She said. She cleaned up her bunk so she can could watch her favorite movie." Alex do you want to watch a movie?" She said.

Alex smiled at Shaylei saying "Yep i guess i fight alot better when i am angrey, but thats a diffrent story." He then turned his head to Layla saying "Yea sure, any movie works for me." He reached in his bag and took out a piece of gum and chewed on it.

Layla put the movie in. Then she went to get some popcorn for them and a soda for her. Layla sat with her soda and popped it open with her finger. Layla had 2 chocolate bars. A Crunch bar and a Hershey's bar. She asked before the movie started, "Which bar do you want?"

Alex shaked his head "Im good, thanks though." He sat back in the chair he was sitting in and watched the movie. The movie was a comedy movie, and was actulley pretty funny and entertaining.

Layla thought that maybe she should have it another time. She sat back and enjoyed the movie. Every joke there was she did a little giggle.When the movie was over she didn't know what to do.

Shaylei let them watch her movie as she stuck her nose in a book. "Lay you look bored go show him around seeing how Hannah disappeared."Shay didn't know what else to tell her..She didn't mean to be bossy but it was a suggestion to go and show poor Alex around seeing how he was new.

I felt a little bored alone in my bunk so I tried to check out new people. I guess meeting new siblings would be so much fun! So I went near. I saw Layla there too. "Hi!" I say to them hoping no one would snob me.

Alex smiled and replied " Already done, when i walked in some of the campers showed me around but thanks." He then got up from the seat where he sat watching the movie making a call on his phone. He called over and over again, but the operator kept picking up. "Come on.." He said under his breath. Making one last call there was still no answer and it said the mailbox for the number was full. Frusturated Alex slammed his phone in his backpack and layed on his bunk looking at the ceeling.

"Well, bye." I said. I was going to the beach. I was just going to relax. And maybe go for a swim.
