'I'm a renegade. It's in my blood...'

The song was all Taylor could hear. Her deep black headphones covered her ears while she jogged up the hill--her daily exercise. She wore her usual attire for exercise--a sleeveless shirt and a pair of jogging pants. Her eyes were half-closed and it looked like she wasn't looking where she was going. Well, she really wasn't. She knew the place by heart, having been here for three years.

At last, she reached the place where Thalia was once a tree. Taylor stopped by the tree to catch her breath. It was her daily routine to rest by the tree before setting back to the Khione cabin. But to her slight surprise, a girl was also seated there. She hugged a notebook to her chest and Taylor took notice of the smile on her face.

"Hey there," Taylor greeted the girl with a smile. She took off her headphones and let it hang around her neck. "Great day, isn't it?"

Taylor studied the girl. She looked pretty nice, with her curly hair and light grey eyes. Was she an Athena kid? It looked like it, but then Taylor noticed that the girl's eyes were a shade lighter than Athena's kids. "I'm Taylor," Taylor said, offering a smile. "And you?"

Taylor saw Zaria adjusting her hoodie to shield herself from the cold. Huh, it was that cold? Taylor didn't notice. She motioned to her sleeveless shirt. "Khione. It's why I'm immune to the cold," she replied.

Taylor squinted at Zaria's eyes. "Are you a kid of Athena? You don't look like one, but it's my closest guess," she admitted.

So, Morpheus huh? Taylor had heard of the god, but she hadn't really met any of his children. "Well, I can freeze things, but I think all of my siblings can," Taylor said, scratching the back of her head. She didn't think it was that big of a deal when a lot of other people can do it. "So, being a Morpheus kid, you have power over dreams? Or something of the like?" Taylor asked curiously.

"That's pretty cool," Taylor commented, grinning. She sat down on the grass while wiping her neck with her dark blue face towel. She looked at Zaria, studying her appearance. "So that sending messages thing, it's kinda like what Iris does, except you can only do it when a person's asleep, right?" Taylor said.

Upon hearing that fact, Taylor found herself slightly scooting away from Zaria, but not enough to actually be noticed. She didn't actually fancy sleeping right here on the grass in her current state. Placing her face towel around her neck with her headphones, Taylor chuckled. "Imagine if people suddenly fell asleep in mid-conversation," she said, thinking of possible antics. "So much fun! The possibilities are endless."

Once she finished talking, Taylor yawned.

"Nope," Taylor said quickly, covering her mouth with her hand. She chuckled lightly. "I think I got a taste of your powers."

Needless to say, Taylor did feel slightly drowsy. She shook the feeling off and stood up, stretching her arms. "Nice chat," Taylor said as she prepared to leave. "Hope you don't mind," she said, smiling. "See you around, Zar!"

Zaria waved good bye to Taylor. "I had fun talking to you." she said. She looked down the hill and thought of all the good things she and her brother would do. She sighed, and opened her book. "Never leave me . . ." she sang softly.
